So happy for you @Moonshine160 xxx

girafferafferaffe · 12/02/2022 18:23

Congrats moonshine! That's reassuring.

I'm still stuck at home with Covid. And a huge headache. Feeling pretty miserable.

annlee3817 · 12/02/2022 18:39

Ah I've been checking in to see if you'd got on ok @Moonshine160 so pleased all is well, just to warn you if your cervix is sensitive it might happen sometimes after an abdominal scan, happened to me during the 12 week scan when I nipped for a wee half way through as bladder was too full and she couldn't find any reason for it when she resumed.

@girafferafferaffe hope you're feeling better soon, what day are you on now of covid?

girafferafferaffe · 12/02/2022 18:47

Tested positive on the 9th evening, so it's been 3 whole days indoors now. I think I'm just getting very cabin fevery! I've been doing 30-40 mins exercise a day by lifting weights but today I could only do 10 weights and 20 yoga because I'm so tired.

I'm hoping that tomorrow and Monday I'll test negative so I can get out otherwise I'm going to miss most of half term with dd. Absolutely dreading the idea that it might still be positive.

annlee3817 · 12/02/2022 19:06

Keeping everything crossed for you, well done on still exercising though!

Honestly it's keeping me sane! Sitting in the house isn't for me. I do love reading and doing puzzles but I feel a bit like a caged animal so I just can't settle down enough to concentrate on them.

ShiningStarz · 12/02/2022 19:14

Awww brilliant @Moonshine160 I am over the moon for you.
Hope you can try and relax now and enjoy the pregnancy.
I have heard of other people in my previous pregnancy having internal scans and it causing bleeding / discharge. I'm sure it will all settle and you'll be at your next big scan before you know it 🥰

ShiningStarz · 12/02/2022 20:15

@girafferafferaffe I'm just out of isolation! I was still testing positive after 12 days, I finally stopped testing and went outside! On one hand it was nice to relax and not have to go anywhere, but on the other hand I was going crazy! I couldn't wait to get out walking!!

mol2mum · 12/02/2022 20:20

Congratulations @Moonshine160 Thanks so glad that your baby is healthy!

madeleine85 · 12/02/2022 20:42

@girafferafferaffe did your child manage to not get it? Hope so for your sanity!

@Moonshine160 that is awesome, so so glad for you 🎉❤️. After your story I’m a bit nervous for my transvaginal 16 week one bc of my last premie, but it’s unavoidable. It will be what it will be 🤷‍♀️. So glad your bleeding has subsided though!

girafferafferaffe · 12/02/2022 20:50

Yup both dh and dd negative so far thankfully. He took her out for the day today so I was alone most of it. Just praying I test negative for as least some of the holiday. I will feel so bad if I can't take her anywhere and there's only so much pretend play I can do.

All was fine at the scan! So relieved. Heartbeat was strong and in the normal range too. They couldn’t see where any bleeding would have come from so it must have been from my cervix from the internal scan. I am surprised as there was a LOT of blood, like a period and small clots. Needless to say I will not be having one of those scans again!
Had some more brown discharge since being home so I don’t think I’ll be able to fully relax until it’s stopped but so thankful for some good news today.
Ps. At first I thought the yolk sac was a second baby and nearly died :D X[/quote]
Congratulations @Moonshine160! I'm so pleased that you've had positive news. Xx

EverydayIsPJday · 13/02/2022 08:32

Any tips for surviving a 3yo bday party today 🙁 literally no idea how I'm going to get through it 🤢. My nephew's not me hosting thankfully

girafferafferaffe · 13/02/2022 08:52

@EverydayIsPJday is it that you're feeling sick?

EverydayIsPJday · 13/02/2022 08:56

I'm nauseous every single waking minute. And I cant stand up for more than about 10 minutes without feeling dizzy. I need to call the gp tomorrow I think. Just don't know how to get through today. DH is the only one that knows.

girafferafferaffe · 13/02/2022 09:10

Now h is positive.. just waiting for dd

girafferafferaffe · 13/02/2022 09:12

Does anything help at all? Nibbling crackers or fizzy drinks?

mummysept22 · 13/02/2022 09:27

I can't stop eating bread and pasta!! I usually eat so well but have really gone off track this past week. I hope I haven't harmed the baby 😩 anyone else struggling with this? Xx

Whatelsecouldibecalled · 13/02/2022 09:36

@mummysept22 think I've eaten an entire loaf in three days

mummysept22 · 13/02/2022 09:44

@Whatelsecouldibecalled I don't think I'm far behind you 🤦🏼‍♀️ glad it isn't just me x

Carebear99 · 13/02/2022 09:56

I'm due 11 Sept. All my symptoms went last week, I don't feel pregnant anymore. No bleeding and I had a scan on Thursday and baby OK, although the heart rate was lower than the week before. I can't help but fearing the worst

TotoAnnihiliation · 13/02/2022 10:47

My diet is terrible at the moment, mostly biscuits and cola. I don't normally like fizzy pop but it's the only thing that seems to settle me stomach.

girafferafferaffe · 13/02/2022 10:56

I'm eating stuff like pasta n sauce because it's minimal effort and one of the only things I can face right now. Yes I know it's awful but I'll eat a bit better in 2nd tri when I have less aversions and no Covid!

mummysept22 · 13/02/2022 11:40

@girafferafferaffe it's all about survival at the moment 🤣 I haven't been particularly sick or nauseous but just don't want to eat my veggies 🤣 maybe it's just tiredness and CBA ! We'll all get there x
