@Moonshine160 how are you this morning? Xx

Moonshine160 · 11/02/2022 07:15

@Billymay
The bleeding seems to have subsided, I went for a wee in the night and there was nothing when I wiped or on the pad and same so far this morning. I’m still getting some cramps but they seem to be little twinges everywhere rather than full blown period cramps. Paranoid that my sore boobs have disappeared this morning though. We have a private scan tomorrow afternoon so all I’m hoping is that the heartbeat is still there x

ShiningStarz · 11/02/2022 07:34

@Moonshine160 so glad things seem to have settled. Oh I know how you feel on the boob front!! Mine go from really sore to not sore at all! Think that's the normal fluctuation of hormones. How many weeks are you? I'd try and wait until at least 8.5 so they don't have to do another internal xx

Moonshine160 · 11/02/2022 07:42

@ShiningStarz I’m 7+5 today according to the exam yesterday. They don’t do internals at the place I’m going to tomorrow so you can only book if you’re 7 weeks and over so I’m just hoping they’ll be able to see something :(
I’ve just done a pregnancy test (I’m going crazy I know) and the test line seems lighter which has made me panic but I’ve read about the hook effect so I’m hoping it’s just that.

ShiningStarz · 11/02/2022 07:47

@Moonshine160 please try to relax. I tried for over 7 years so I know how it takes over our lives and the anxiety is unreal. I hope the scan settles you tomorrow and then you can relax. The worrying doesn't stop but it does get easier x

KatBee121 · 11/02/2022 07:51

@Moonshine160
I had my first scan (transabdominal) at 7+5 and provided your bladder is nice and full you can see quite well :) Saw the little one in the sac and the flickering heart beat.
Also yeah don't take any pregnancy tests after the 6 week mark as they do show up lighter and just adds to the stress. I took one at 6+4 and it showed up quite abit lighter than the 5+4. Panicked me abit before the scan but everything was fine.

Moonshine160 · 11/02/2022 08:26

Thanks @ShiningStarz and @KatBee121
I’ve just had a bit more blood when wiping but not bright red yesterday, looks browner and older. Just hope it doesn’t pick back up again x

girafferafferaffe · 11/02/2022 08:50

Finally got a scan date through! 25 feb. Going to draaaaaag

EverydayIsPJday · 11/02/2022 09:24

Morning everyone.

Random question from me this morning. Are you all still going to bed early? I've been heading up shortly after the kids (about 8 pm 🙄) but I think DH is starting to feel abit neglected, we have no time without the kids ATM. Most nights I just lay there until he comes up anyway, to keep warm as I'm constantly freezing with my eye mask on and a hot water bottle. For some reason it makes me feel less nauseous. I'm never in the mood to try and stay up and watch TV or anything ATM. For me it seems movement makes me feel so sick like I'm on a ship 🤢 so I just try and lay still. After reading something about exhaustion in early Pg last night it said not to have too much sleep as it makes you feel worse. Now I'm wondering whether I should try and stay up abit later and I'm not doing myself any favours? Difficult as ds2 is going through a waking in the night phase again so I cant predict how many times I'm disturbed.

Probably over thinking this, I just don't remember feeling so debilitated and am worried DH is getting abit fed up of spending every evening alone (it is what it is but it's still not great). I'm 7+1. Sorry for the ramble!

EverydayIsPJday · 11/02/2022 09:26

Btw I know they say 'listen to your body' but I think mine is saying 'f*ck off world' atm which doesn't help 🤣

girafferafferaffe · 11/02/2022 09:32

I would just have a chat with your dh and tell him it's not forever. My dh has been really understanding this time - with me falling asleep all the time or being too exhausted to do everything around the house. He's picking up all the extra and is being really understanding. I do try to stay up til my normal bedtime even if it's just sitting with him watching tv but he understands if I can't.

mol2mum · 11/02/2022 09:39

Hey everyone, just after a bit of advice. I'm 9+1 weeks and I'm still going to the gym doing all my usual weight workouts. It can be quite harsh on my body but I've been trying not to do anything that impacts my core too much as I don't want to hurt the baby. Do you think it's okay to be doing this?

Dreamer30 · 11/02/2022 09:45

@EverydayIsPJday I'm exactly the same! Not so much with bad nausea but I feel least nauseous when I'm say still or laying down. I go up to bed about 8pm each night, if not earlier. It's not do bad because my OH is nightshift so leaves about 8:30 but I always get "are you going up already" and I can't help but feeling guilty coz I know he likes to sit with me until her goes lol. I'm just exhausted! Some mornings I'm up at 5:30 for work so by 7pm I'm thinking of bed. I'm hoping by the 2nd trimester I'm a bit more alive lol

HeyBlaby · 11/02/2022 09:46

@mol2mum I'm 10 weeks and still lifting, just reduced the weight, eg no 1RM, previously would deadlift 95kg for 10, reduced down to 80kg, making sure I'm not breathing in and bracing as I usually would (to reduce pressure on pelvic floor) Taking it slower generally as I feel out of breath more easily.

I've done my usual core exercises up until now but probably won't any more, got rid of any gymnastic type moves that might be a fall risk from the beginning.

HeyBlaby · 11/02/2022 09:48

@mol2mum also important to point out, no core movements or weight routine is going to hurt baby, just some minor changes needed to protect your abdominal muscles and pelvic floor, also to remember that due to relaxin your joints may be a little more vulnerable.

Dreamer30 · 11/02/2022 09:49

Has anyone found that their pets are super clingy? Since about 6w my cat hasn't left me alone. She follows me everywhere to the point I'm tripping over her (poor kitty) and has to be near me all the time. She wakes me up through the night wanting under the duvet and snuggles right in which is unlike her. Since my OH has moved in I've also acquired a dog 🙄 lol and she's not bothered by him but whenever he comes near me she tries to attack. I think the dog is oblivious to my pregnancy though 😅

girafferafferaffe · 11/02/2022 09:51

I'm carrying on my weights although I was never at a huge level of weight. I do strength workouts on apple fitness using usually 5kg dumbbells. Did a whole 30 min yesterday and can feel it. Going to do one again today when I can get my energy although I do feel a bit more breathless today

Billymay · 11/02/2022 10:09

@girafferafferaffe yay for your scan date… it’s the day before my dds 1st birthday. How many weeks are you? I have my booking apt next week at 8 weeks so wandering how long till i get the scan date. Going to be fun doing the booking apt hiding away from my nosey just turned 7 year old who’s already asked if I’m having a baby 🤷‍♀️

girafferafferaffe · 11/02/2022 10:14

I'm 10+1 today. Still got Covid so am stuck indoors - it's funny because I would have LOVED some time off but enforced time off (and not being allowed to leave the house) is not what I wanted haha.

mol2mum · 11/02/2022 10:38

Thanks @HeyBlaby and @girafferafferaffe , I'm going to carry on with the exercising then but just at the lower weights I've been using :)

Whoknew22 · 11/02/2022 10:40

@EverydayIsPJday I feel exactly the same. I go to bed straight after my little boy just now. I’m 10 &6 and do think things are starting to get slightly better but I’m now on iron tablets so maybe that’s why. My little one has been sick the last 2 nights and he’s not the best sleeper so I feel I just can’t take any chances. It will get better. The second trimester is always better with more energy so not too much longer to go xx

girafferafferaffe · 11/02/2022 10:42

The main thing is no core exercise and in 3rd trimester don't lay on your back and do presses as it puts pressure on the major vein :)

TotoAnnihiliation · 11/02/2022 10:48

I had a really rough night with much sickness. At one point I couldn't hold water down and was panicking about having to go into hospital. I had a very restless sleep and feel a bit better today.

Going to have to a bath then figure out which food options offend me the least!
