@KL89 thank you so much for sharing that! It's definitely reassuring to hear. Also, how crazy are our bodies?

mol2mum · 10/02/2022 16:26

@Moonshine160 try not to worry too much, my cousin had lots of bright red bleeding when she was pregnant with her son. It caused her so much anxiety the whole time, especially because he was their last try of IVF. Everything turned out perfectly fine though and he's now a healthy 6 year oldGrin I have everything crossed for you but I'm sure you'll be fine, especially considering the positive scan this morning xx

mol2mum · 10/02/2022 16:27

Just wanted to pop on and share my 9 week scan from this afternoon. Baby is apparently very strong and healthy with a heart rate of 180🥰 I feel so relieved after weeks of worrying!

@mol2mum congrats! Flowers

KL89 · 10/02/2022 16:33

@IzzyLeigh no problem, if I had knew I was pregnant before that bleed I would have been a wreck but just goes to show there is a lot of unexplained bleeding in pregnancy. I didn't bleed at all with my dd so this is all new to me. Hopefully it stops and I can relax a little. How worrying is early pregnancy eh xx

Hopingforarainbow27 · 10/02/2022 16:38

Anyone on here expecting twins? Just found out today at 8week scan! So so shocked

Moonshine160 · 10/02/2022 16:40

Thanks everyone. @IzzyLeigh I’ve just googled that and it does sound possible. I hope that’s what it is and not something worse. I’m trying to reassure myself that if I was miscarrying the bleeding would worsen and there would be clots but it seems to have tailed off again x

annlee3817 · 10/02/2022 16:47

@Moonshine160 I have cervical ectropian, which caused bleeding in my last pregnancy, mainly after intercourse which I have avoided this time round. Anyway, I also had the bleeding post pregnancy and have had silver nitrate put on the cells twice, the gynaecologist showed me the cells and they are red raw, so get why they bleed. The silver nitrate has helped so far, generally only lasts a couple of years though.

@Moonshine160 so happy to hear it's trailing off! Keep us posted if you feel up to it. I'll be thinking about you Flowers

@Hopingforarainbow27 congrats!!! I'm so jealous! I super wanted twins but my scan yesterday just shows the one (which I'm still over the moon about!). However, they do say that a twin can go unnoticed in early scans sometimes Wink so maybbbbeeee

Hopingforarainbow27 · 10/02/2022 16:50

@IzzyLeigh why did you really want twins may I ask? Ha I'm so gobsmacked

TotoAnnihiliation · 10/02/2022 16:52

@Hopingforarainbow27 oh wow! 🌈🌈 congratulations to you

Billymay · 10/02/2022 16:53

@annlee3817 ah ok!' I'm not on Facebook so can't be part of that group! 🙆🏼‍♀️

IzzyLeigh · 10/02/2022 16:59

@Hopingforarainbow27
Ha, I get that question a lot. I have a number of chronic conditions that put me at high risk and also make being pregnant really difficult to manage. The one I've been struggling with the most is my narcolepsy with cataplexy. I had to go off all my meds 3 months before trying to conceive and I'm going to have to stay off them until after breastfeeding. It has been debilitating to go back to my pre-treatment self. Without my meds, it's difficult to function in so many ways. That and it can be downright dangerous at times. Then add the fragmented pee-interrupted sleep and regular pregnancy exhaustion and I am incredibly concerned about being able to keep my job. It takes my independence in a lot of ways too. I can't drive like this, I can't think clearly, and my husband is constantly worried.
Anyway, I definitely want two children and this one is my first. So it would be ideal if I could get both done in one go, get back on my meds, and start functioning closer to like a normal person again. Otherwise, I have to extend this for another entire pregnancy.

It's the same people that chat on here, just two platforms :)

@Hopingforarainbow27 congratulations!!!
I'm also having twins! I found out last week, a big shock as well, still sinking in lol. Did they tell you what type of twins you're expecting?

Hopingforarainbow27 · 10/02/2022 17:07

@Pinkflamingofly ah!!!! Identical! I was just trying to come to terms with her saying looks ok because I was expecting the worst and did not believe her when she said there is two. I honestly don't know if it will ever sink in!!! What type are you having?

Pinkflamingofly · 10/02/2022 17:14

@Hopingforarainbow27 lol me too I thought I was having a miscarriage and went to epu for an early scan, couldn't believe it. Mine are fraternal, each in their own sac. How exciting! How's your pregnancy been going so far? I'm having such a stressful time with constant spotting, stops and goes. Never had this with any of my singletons, definitely a completely different experience this time

Hopingforarainbow27 · 10/02/2022 17:16

@Pinkflamingofly I'm just really tired and nausea on and off. I thought I should be a lot worse because it's twins! These will be my first

Moonshine160 · 10/02/2022 17:22

I’ve just had a small clot. EPU refusing to see me again unless very large clots. I’m crampy too and really fearing the worst x

Pinkflamingofly · 10/02/2022 17:23

@Hopingforarainbow27 the tiredness is surreal, but I'm pleasantly surprised the nausea isnt that bad

Whoknew22 · 10/02/2022 17:25

@Moonshine160 maybe just phone them again in an hour and lie. Whatever it takes to get seen and have some reassurance. I hope you are ok x
