Shall give it a go!

mummysept22 · 09/02/2022 22:46

@mol2mum everyday!! Pretty much same symptoms as you- sore boobs, bloated, waves of nausea but nothing bad at all. I'm tired and hungry all the time but other than that- nothing (although when you write them down it sounds like a lot of symptoms 🤣) I had a MC a few months ago so understandable to feel anxious but I had an early scan last Friday and all was well! I'll probably book another in a week or so as I don't think I can wait another 5 weeks for my NHS 12 week scan 😩 x

TotoAnnihiliation · 09/02/2022 22:48

Ladies, is this happening to any of you? I keep getting a shortness of breath where I struggle to breathe and I feel dizzy and nauseous. The dizziness and nauseous feelings can happen without the shortness of breath. I'm 8 weeks today.

MedbN · 09/02/2022 23:21

@TotoAnnihiliation yes I've had that. Mentioned it to midwife who said it was normal. Something to do with body getting used to higher blood volume or something, said when it happens to sit/lie down to rest and sip water, should improve as pregnancy progresses.

mol2mum · 10/02/2022 04:26

@mummysept22 I'm glad to hear I'm not the only one and things are going well for youGrin this will be my second private reassurance scan too, I drive myself insane with worry lol

@TotoAnnihiliation I had this in asda the other day, thought I was going to pass out, it was horrible. Had to grab a high calorie cereal bar and go sit in my car to try and make myself feel better and it did soon pass

annlee3817 · 10/02/2022 06:21

@TotoAnnihiliation yes had it too, I reach for something sugary when that happens, not nice, don't remember it from last time

I cannot explain how painful my boobs are ALL THE TIME and they are huge. Hate them. I hate body changes during pregnancy not gonna lie, don't know if it's because it's my second but I already can't wait for this to be over.

110APiccadilly · 10/02/2022 07:06

@TotoAnnihiliation yes, I get that occasionally. Particularly the dizziness (which I'm also prone to when I'm on my period, so I'm guessing I'm generally someone a bit prone to it).

annlee3817 · 10/02/2022 07:08

Anyone else been casually looking at maternity clothes? I really hate them, I disliked them last time, most seem so old fashioned, and I could never find a truly comfortable pair of jeans

@annlee3817 look on shein, there is so many nice ones 😄x

I really feel you! Honestly absolute same.
EverydayIsPJday · 10/02/2022 08:02

Morning all. Hope you are all ok. I've hit the 7 week marker today Smile pleased about that, although still five weeks to go to a scan 😬

Just seen all the comments about dizziness and I'm not sure mine is the same but i am feeling really really weak. Just if I stand up for more than 5-10min I HAVE to sit down or I feel like I will fall down. Not sure if I should worry about that at this stage but it's not great. I just want to lie down ALL THE TIME. Been going to bed at 8pm for the last week or so now.

20viona · 10/02/2022 08:16

@girafferafferaffe so glad I'm not alone. Got a private scan Saturday and I'm hoping this all sinks in a bit because this inbetween stage is the worst! I'm such a negative Nancy lately and this just isn't like me!

ShiningStarz · 10/02/2022 08:47

Thank you @madeleine85
Great to hear of another mum the same age (I'm 40 in a few weeks!!)
How are you feeling?
I never had morning sickness with my first but I have it all the time now!!

ShiningStarz · 10/02/2022 08:49

Oooops I forgot to introduce myself.
I hope it's ok I join you all (I posted on the older thread!).
I'm 9 weeks +3.
I have an 18 month old girl.
I'm almost 40! The joys!
I haven't had any early scans. My first scan is at 11.5 weeks and then Iv another at 12.5 weeks.
I had gestational diabetes the last time so Iv to start monitoring my blood sugars this time from 12 weeks 😩

ShiningStarz · 10/02/2022 08:51

@annlee3817 hi! I got maternity jeans from H&M for my last pregnancy and they were very comfy. I really want dungarees this time tho!
My bump last time wasn't that big so I got away with slightly bigger vest tops/T-shirt's. I have a sept baby already and what I found essential was a couple light dresses for summer (newlook were fab).

annlee3817 · 10/02/2022 09:10

@ShiningStarz lol, I'm short so my bump in my last pregnancy was ridiculous :) I didn't get on with the h&m ones last time, maybe they've changed, I has been seven years :)

Good luck today @Moonshine160.

@mol2mum I'm 10+3 with good going symptoms and a good scan at 9 weeks and I still am sometimes convinced I'm going to have a MMC at the 12 week scan, or a tfmr at the 20. Really struggling to enjoy being pregnant cos of the anxiety. I'm going to mention it to the midwife at booking tomorrow to guage how much anxiety is "normal"...

@annlee3817 I've got some maternity jeans arriving today as I had to drive home last night with the button undone on mine. 😳. Last time round I don't remember having much of a bump till 38 weeks (high BMI, B-bump) but OH showed me some pictures and I was basically a whale by 15 weeks! Good tips @ShiningStarz about the summer clothes- my son is a May baby and I lived in big men's jumpers last time.

Struggling to find a maternity swimming costume that isn't going to end in a Janet Jackson-style wardrobe malfunction if I try and actually swim...!

Billymay · 10/02/2022 09:51

@girafferafferaffe feel for you my dad is a nightmare although saying that because we tested her everyday from day 5 she’s actually better now… it makes me anxious with anything as I know she just go crazy… you should’ve seen her when I had to give her antibiotics from the doctors 🙈🙈

Billymay · 10/02/2022 09:52

@girafferafferaffe my dd not my dad 😂 although he can be annoying 😂

Holmes91 · 10/02/2022 10:04

Hi can I join please 😁 I have two boys aged 8 and 5 and I got my bfp on NYE. Had an early scan on 28th January and was 8 weeks 2 days which now makes me 10+1 Due date 7th September 💗💙

girafferafferaffe · 10/02/2022 10:04

She's brilliant with medicine that you have to swallow or whatever. But since Covid she just cannot bear anything in her nose. I should be grateful really as it's unlikely she will shove Lego up there but she really does get so distressed and I don't want her overriding memory to be her parents holding her down while she screams and cries. She broke her wrist in September and she was hysterical going in to the hospital and it turned out that she thought all doctors put things up your nose. Poor girl is scarred by it all!

annlee3817 · 10/02/2022 10:13

Welcome @Holmes91 congratulations

petitlapin1 · 10/02/2022 10:21

@girafferafferaffe How old is she? Our little one has done it himself since age 6 with much less distress. (We still do the throat bit but he does his own nose.)

SkaterChick · 10/02/2022 10:24

Hey everyone sorry I've been mia, I've been really sick with hyperemesis gravidarum. I was in hospital last friday and Saturday for fluids.

I had my second scan with the epu Tuesday and was measuring at 8+1, this was bang on where I thought I was based on ovulation.
Gives me a due date of about 19th September.

Going to be a looong 7 months 😂
