@Moonshine160 it's so stressful to be in this situation, I couldn't help crying when it happened to me. I'm still spotting sometimes, it's been literally on and off since I found out I'm pregnant. Could you maybe not look when you wipe, to avoid any more stress? You will be seen tomorrow morning no matter what, and you would feel it if it started to get heavier. I've got everything crossed for you, please dont think of the worst just yet

Purplerain1144 · 09/02/2022 16:33

My sis in law is a midwife so has a doppler at home. Heard a lovely heartbeat today at 9+3, very reassuring xx

naomi94 · 09/02/2022 16:41

@Hopingforarainbow27
Oh lovely! 😊 I am unsure of which hospital/unit I would like to give birth in?
I just moved to belfast last year so I am in familiar with the hospitals.
However one is in the maternity hospital and one is midlife Led. Your maybe not from Belfast so can't help me , but congratulations to you anyway 👶🏽

naomi94 · 09/02/2022 16:43

@Moonshine160 Do try not to panic I've had a couple "spotting" episodes both didn't last long - the first was brownish and then pinkish and the second was a little of a urine infection. The EPU scanned me both times for reassurance.
I have had a miscarriage and know how stressful and worrying it is when you see blood of any kind.
I have everything crossed for you. 💕

Whatelsecouldibecalled · 09/02/2022 16:46

I've had a private scan tonight and saw heartbeat. It was amazing. Dates match up with 7w4d so so relieved! One small hurdle over

Hopingforarainbow27 · 09/02/2022 16:46

@naomi94 I hope to go to the Royal 💕

Moonshine160 · 09/02/2022 17:14

Thanks everyone for the reassurance. I will update tomorrow morning after the scan.

IzzyLeigh · 09/02/2022 17:41

@Moonshine160 please do keep us posted. Wishing for the best. In the meantime, try not to worry yourself too much. I know, easier said than done. Everything crossed for you 🤞🏻

@annlee3817 thank you so much!

@naomi94 welcome!

@Whatelsecouldibecalled looks like we’re synced up! We’re both 7w4d and had our scans today!♥️

annlee3817 · 09/02/2022 18:01

@Moonshine160 hope all goes well tomorrow

@Whatelsecouldibecalled Glad the scan was all ok :)

Just ordered some new pyjamas in a bigger size, priorities 🤣

Congratulations to everyone who had their scans, such lovely news!

@Moonshine160 I am crossing everything that you are ok, and I am so glad that you pushed for the doctor and have a checkup tomorrow. Please take care of yourself in the meantime and know that we are all hoping that like your first time round, that this is just a stressful day/two x

@annlee3817 your motivation worked, I did the run yesterday and just did a body pump weights class, so feeling much better. Will no doubt have to take a lunch nap, but if that is the payoff, i'll take it. Hoping this is it and no more backsliding into sickness :)

@Glitterygreen due dates change all the time. My friend who is 9 months just had hers moved up 10 days, although I think that might be as she is 5'1 and her husband is a 6'7 giant so the consultant might be taking pity on her/measuring the child as long, but it probably is :)

@Purplerain1144 I have one of those at home too. I don't use it very often, maybe once or twice a week, and it takes a bit of hunting to find the heartbeat as it is early, but i've been able to find it since 9ish weeks. It is so nice that you have a midwife in the family, and so lovely to hear the heartbeat!

Whatelsecouldibecalled · 09/02/2022 18:47

@IzzyLeigh looks like! ❤️

girafferafferaffe · 09/02/2022 18:59

Welllll shit. I'm positive for Covid.

annlee3817 · 09/02/2022 19:20

@madeleine85 good going! Work was too busy today so I didn't get a chance to get on the treadmill, hopefully tomorrow, I'm exhausted tonight, so early night I think

@girafferafferaffe oh no :( sorry

madeleine85 · 09/02/2022 19:27

@girafferafferaffe NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO please rest up. I'm currently living in petrified state of having scans every 2 weeks/tests and trying like hell to avoid covid so nothing gets canceled. It is the worst! Hoping that you have a very mild case and it gives you and the little one some antibodies at least

Dreamer30 · 09/02/2022 19:29

Love hearing everyone's positive scan stories 😊 such an exciting yet nerve wracking time!

mol2mum · 09/02/2022 20:07

Congratulations to everyone who's had positive news today, so happy for you all!!Thanks

Has anyone else convinced themselves that something's wrong and their pregnancy is going to end in miscarriage for literally no reason? I haven't had any bleeding as of yet but also haven't had massively strong symptoms this whole time either, except for sore boobs, bloating and a little bit of nausea from time to time. I have a reassurance scan tomorrow when I'll be 9 weeks so just praying that the baby is healthy and well so that I can finally try to relax a bit

girafferafferaffe · 09/02/2022 20:20

I am so annoyed. Totally fucked up my weekend seeing my mum and my nephews birthday party. Plus start of school holidays :( also I have to now test my dd and I have to do it in her sleep because she gets so incredibly distressed by Covid tests. It is really awful having to do them to her so I try and do them in her sleep even though she shuffles and gets annoyed I'd rather that than her sobbing and screaming and lashing out and both of us adults having to pin her down to do it against her will.

annlee3817 · 09/02/2022 20:25

@girafferafferaffe would she just be isolating with you anyway? So could avoid testing her?

OP posts:
girafferafferaffe · 09/02/2022 20:34

I mean she could but my worry is that she will get it slightly later than me. I'll do one today and then see how we go. I do it in her sleep but sometimes I can't get it done properly because even in her sleep she holds her hands over her nose if I try!

girafferafferaffe · 09/02/2022 20:35

She also goes to school and I'm not sure what to do about that because really she can still go. And it would mean I don't have her bouncing off the walls here.

girafferafferaffe · 09/02/2022 20:37

She's also more likely to get it if she stays with me I guess. Her test is negative right now so she can go in tomorrow

Mags146 · 09/02/2022 20:45

Does anyone get any burning inside? Almost like a burning of cervix? I get that sometimes plus dull pains, it freaks me out.

annlee3817 · 09/02/2022 21:02

If it helps @girafferafferaffe when I had it, my DD clung to me like a limpit the whole week as was half term and she didn't get it, neither did my husband. I think a few people have suggested swabbing the cheek instead, not sure if it would work.

OP posts:
girafferafferaffe · 09/02/2022 21:18

Interesting! I hope that's the case as I really don't want her to get it really. I pray I don't lose my sense of taste although I could probably do with eating slightly less....

annlee3817 · 09/02/2022 21:40

@girafferafferaffe if you're testing positive on a LFT test, try one using a cheek swab on you and see if it works
