@annlee3817 thank you! Smile

HeyBlaby · 09/02/2022 10:37

@twodice totally normal, my 7 week scan had me a couple of days out, had a scan at 9 weeks something and put me ahead 2 days to the date I thought.

handbagsandholidays · 09/02/2022 10:42

Hi ladies,

Just popping back to say that I had my scan and I'm measuring a week smaller than expected but saw a little heart beating away! 🥰♥️ She said she thinks my due date is likely to change but for now I've been pushed back to October! X

twodice · 09/02/2022 10:45

@handbagsandholidays that's great news!!! Such a relief I imagine!

annlee3817 · 09/02/2022 10:45

Ah that's great news @handbagsandholidays you must be so relieved

I am really really relieved and thankful that all is well. I was worrying myself silly yesterday as the cramping I've been having has been so intense! X

Moonshine160 · 09/02/2022 11:02

Hi all. I’m 7+1 and since yesterday I’ve had some brownish stringy coloured discharge mixed in with my normal white discharge. I had this when I was pregnant with my first and all was fine, but that only lasted a couple of hours not a couple of days like this time. I’m scared. I’ve got a private reassurance scan booked for Saturday. Anyone else had similar and been ok?

EverydayIsPJday · 09/02/2022 11:02

Fantastic news @handbagsandholidays I'm so pleased for you.

EverydayIsPJday · 09/02/2022 11:04

Great news @twodice I think it's quite common for the dates to jump about abit especially in the very early days Smile

And of course when they're bigger they might just decide they want to stay put abit longer. I was due a September baby with ds1 but he was born at 42 weeks in October. Its his own fault it's always cold and damp for his birthday 😂

IzzyLeigh · 09/02/2022 11:05

@twodice congrats! I'm supposed to be 7+5 today at my scan but I have a feeling they're going to change the date too. I mean, I don't have any reason to think that or anything—it just seems like they change everyone's date haha
I'm kind of hoping they change mine to further along so that I can get out of this anxiety-ridden first trimester sooner!
Then again, I'm just hoping for a heartbeat really, so I'll be thankful for just about anything as long as I have that

IzzyLeigh · 09/02/2022 11:09

@handbagsandholidays congrats! I'm so happy for you! Flowers

PrettyTulip · 09/02/2022 11:11

@handbagsandholidays happy you had a good scan 💐

Littlebun1 · 09/02/2022 11:23

Good luck @IzzyLeigh I've got everything crossed for you!! 🥰 wish I had food aversions...at the moment I'm happy to eat anything...and I'm doing a damn good job at it 😂

@handbagsandholidays so happy for you! Glad it went well!! Did they say what was causing the cramps/bleeding?

Xx

TotoAnnihiliation · 09/02/2022 11:30

So pleased for you @handbagsandholidays

IzzyLeigh · 09/02/2022 13:25

We saw the little heartbeat going at 167 bpm and they only changed my date back by 1 day! Now 7w4d instead of 7w5d, but I'll take it!
That heartbeat is such a relief I've been crying on and off for about an hour now haha

Congrats on all these new scans ☺️.

Catching up and I'm definitely part of the not much exercise crew (apart from dog walks). MS kind of went away for a lot of this week but back today. Sick this morning, nausea on and off and oh so tried 😴. Thing I'm really struggling with is getting motivated for work 😬. It's like I'd honestly would rather be doing anything else right now. Keeping on top of it but spending wayy to much time occupied with other things that are often baby related. Anyone else the same?

annlee3817 · 09/02/2022 14:03

Congrats @IzzyLeigh

Brilliant news on scans today! I got a phone call this morning from a midwife who said she wanted to check something about my results before she told me anything. Turns out the lady took my bloods (particularly the ones that check for glucose) but didn't write if I had fasted or not. I said no no! I even had a school dinner that day 🤣 she said oh good then it's normal then! Thought something was wrong for a minute haha.

Managed a 10 minute weight lifting session. Still don't feel 100% after my horrible cold so pleased with that. Now for the school run so I should be about 40ish mins exercise today. Hoping I can carry this on.

Going to my mums this weekend and have to pretend all is normal haha. My friend is coming over and she knows and she's said she will keep quiet :))

Moonshine160 · 09/02/2022 15:03

Posted earlier about brown discharge, well it’s increased in quantity and is now more blood streaked. Also getting cramps. I rang my GP who put me through to the midwife and she told me there’s nothing that can be done at 7 weeks and to just “wait and see”. So I asked for a call back from a doctor instead and they’ve kindly referred me to the pregnancy assessment unit at hospital and I’m going tomorrow at 9:30. Hoping they will scan me. I’m trying to convince myself it’s common and probably normal but I think I’m expecting the worst. Just got a bad feeling.

Pinkflamingofly · 09/02/2022 15:20

@Moonshine160 sorry you're going through this, I know how stressful it can be. I havent had brown spotting, but I've had every shade from light pink to bright red and babies are ok. I'm pretty sure they will scan you at 7 weeks. I was scanned at 6 weeks at epu. Brown is old blood and should be ok

Glitterygreen · 09/02/2022 15:34

Love to see these due dates getting moved!

I'm really hoping mine gets moved forward or even back, as currently it's 1 week before my own birthday and I'd like it to be further away from that 😂

Obviously not the end of the world but would love to not be giving birth or in hospital on my birthday!

Glitterygreen · 09/02/2022 15:35

@Moonshine160 Got my fingers crossed for you, that midwife doesn't sound very helpful :( I get that they can't do anything but it's hard for us not to know what's going on, so it's more about giving us info than 'doing anything'.

Hopingforarainbow27 · 09/02/2022 15:46

@naomi94 lovely scan picture! Yes I am from Northern Ireland 💕

Moonshine160 · 09/02/2022 15:50

@Glitterygreen @Pinkflamingofly
Thank you. I did also have this in my first pregnancy and everything was ok in the end but I’m sure there more of it this time and I can’t help feeling so scared. I keep thinking it’s stopped and then it starts again x
