I'm 9+5 today and my nausea is a little bit less but wow I am SO tired! I thought I was tired before but now I just can't find the energy even for the most basic things 😅 I feel so bad for my daughter, she hasn't been anywhere but the house and our local park since before Christmas 😬

girafferafferaffe · 08/02/2022 14:58

9+5 today. Still trying to get rid of the cold I've had. Woke up feeling like I'd been hit by a bus. Am able to eat way less than I was though as not feeling as sicky now. Just absolutely bone tired. Can't wait to go to bed. Keep beating myself up for being fat and it's going to get worse! Must stop.

TotoAnnihiliation · 08/02/2022 15:16

I started taking the sickness tablets today, I feel miles better but still no appetite. The tablets have made me feel chilled and mellow!

hayleynk27 · 08/02/2022 16:25

I'm literally the same with the tiredness. It's been taken to a whole new level these past few days.. feel exhausted, like when your ill and need a good sleep. Yet sleep is so broken as keep needing to pee in the night!

annlee3817 · 08/02/2022 16:58

Glad the tablets are helping @TotoAnnihiliation

I would really like this nausea to bugger off now, I'm going out for dinner with one of my friends tonight and still umming and ahhing about telling her, think I'd rather wait until I get the results from the NIPT, but feeling crap so think it will be hard to hide....

Tiredness wise, hasn't been much of an issue this time round which has surprised me

@girafferafferaffe please don't beat yourself up, the first trimester is tough and you need to do what helps

@calipoppy I am exhausted all the time, have to take a daily nap! Today is even worse... I woke up at 3am with my dog barfing, so I was up for hours with him, and then my 2 year old was up at 5 wanting to play. Just lovely! Currently on a zoom call and trying to not fall asleep.

madeleine85 · 08/02/2022 17:22

@girafferafferaffe it is a really weird time/adjustment in general. It doesn't help that there are feelings of constipation/general bloat/just feeling horrible, sick and tired. Last week (week 10) my energy started coming back, I got back on the treadmill, things were improving. This week it is a massive backslide which is so frustrating. I haven't exercised since Thursday and I just feel rotten. Yesterday I almost puked in the car, which was probably the closest i've come to throwing up this time around. I put down the window to feel better and got a whiff of fried chicken and almost had to get out to throw up. I am so ready to be 14 weeks or so and be back to some strength. It is hard though as i've started this 10 lbs up from my DD starting point, and I'm 5'1 so weight shows fast on me. I don't want to gain masses of weight and I know this is a tough time. I find myself mentally planning to exercise heavily in the second trimester to keep it off/pay it back for my last few weeks of no exercise, and I know that isn't healthy, so I'm just going to have to chalk this up to being a really weird, mentally hard time, and hopefully the last first trimester I ever have to do!!

girafferafferaffe · 08/02/2022 17:24

I keep saying I'll do some exercise every day (I still do the school run which is 20 mins of walking) but I am just soooooo tired I can't cope with it. I pray soon I start to feel better and can carry on with my weights.

annlee3817 · 08/02/2022 17:54

We will all start feeling better soon, I forced myself on a run walk yesterday and it perked me up, going to try again tomorrow, thankfully I have a treadmill from lockdown panic buying, so can easily give up and retire to the couch

@annlee3817 you gave me some motivation to do a peloton walk/run, so thank you! Also lucky and have a treadmill at home, though it may have been better served as a clothes horse the amount of use it's had the last month :)

annlee3817 · 09/02/2022 05:58

@madeleine85 did it help? Ha ha mines been collecting dust in our garage for months

I know this sounds weird but do anyone else's symptoms need time to wake up in the morning? I wake up and panic because all my symptoms have disappeared and then slowly throughout the morning they come back.

9 weeks today and everything has definitely eased off but thought this would be the worst week 🤔 I have a reassurance scan booked in for Saturday morning!! The nerves are definitely kicking in again!!

Xx

@Littlebun1 I'm exactly the same! I'll be 9 weeks tomorrow and every morning I feel completely normal until about midday when I start to get more tired. I also have a reassurance scan booked, mines tomorrow and I'm really nervous but hopefully everything is okay🤞🏼 hope yours goes well too x
annlee3817 · 09/02/2022 06:41

@Littlebun1 mine do, I wake up and feel like things are easing and then the nausea starts creeping back with a vengeance

Same here, I get worse and worse through the day until bedtime when I can't get into bed without wretching, awful!

EverydayIsPJday · 09/02/2022 08:13

Hope you're doing ok today @handbagsandholidays, good luck with the scan this morning

Littlebun1 · 09/02/2022 08:53

oh I'm glad I'm not the only one!! The tiredness definitely gets worse throughout the day! My DP is sick of me falling asleep on the sofa at 7pm each night!! Good luck with your scan @mol2mum :) I know I'll feel better about these symptoms coming and going once I know the little bean is ok in there, I'm sure you're the same! xx

Littlebun1 · 09/02/2022 08:54

@handbagsandholidays good luck with the scan today! has the bleeding and pain stopped? x

handbagsandholidays · 09/02/2022 08:57

Hello everyone, thank you so much for your kind words. I took a little break away ydy whilst trying to keep my head down and hopes high... my scan is at 10am so not long to go. The pain hasn't stopped and the bleeding has been on and off but after red spotting became brown and stringy discharge which hopefully isn't as sinister. Really hoping for some good news this morning x

HeyBlaby · 09/02/2022 09:01

@handbagsandholidays good luck, thinking of you.

annlee3817 · 09/02/2022 09:54

@handbagsandholidays Good luck! Hope everything is okay!

@Littlebun1 Absolutely. I go through the same thing every day! My nausea creeps in once I've been awake for about 2 hours and then comes in waves throughout the day. The only thing I find reassuring in those moments is the food aversion. If I'm in doubt I think of spinach and immediately feel repulsed and therefore better haha

Also, first scan today in less than 2 hours! I'm a nervous wreck! Fingers crossed for me please!

twodice · 09/02/2022 10:26

Had my first scan today. My dates have me at 7+4 but I'm measuring 7+2. I keep trying to reassure myself that this is completely normal!

Overall just very happy to see a heartbeat and know everything is going fine so far!

annlee3817 · 09/02/2022 10:32

@twodice congrats, and yes completely normal, they are so tiny at that stage that measurements can be easy out by a mm or two. When I was 9 in my last pregnancy my early scan measured me at 8+4, baby caught up and measured a whole week ahead at my 12 week scan
