@annlee3817 Nausea has vanished more the past couple of days but back with a punch tonight 😷 Varies so much.

Congrats to the newbies joining 💕

Belle2210 · 02/02/2022 18:53

@PrettyTulip Apart from soup I'm totally in the same boat 🙈.

IzzyLeigh · 02/02/2022 19:05

@TotoAnnihiliation you mean a metallic taste in your mouth or something else? If metallic, apparently that's really common and the internet says to try gargling with water and salt/baking soda, which honestly sounds even worse than the metallic taste lol

Oh dear just reading you well intentioned advice made me gag! I'm not quite sure what the taste is but it's unpleasant.

I think I might phone the doctors tomorrow because I feel so unwell!

EverydayIsPJday · 02/02/2022 19:08

@TotoAnnihiliation the only thing the moderately helped me was sucking on mint imperials. Just don't have too many 😬💩

TotoAnnihiliation · 02/02/2022 19:45

Thank you @EverydayIsPJday I'll try mint imperials.

I'm trying to decide what to have for tea, which is the least evil option?

girafferafferaffe · 02/02/2022 19:45

I managed 20 mins of weights today hurray!!! Actually felt miles better than yesterday. Although I'm def coming down with something. Lfts all negative but still feel rubbish!!

Kroot · 02/02/2022 20:35

For some reason, from what I’ve seen and observed Omicron seems to start with symptoms and only two to three days in do people seem to be getting positive tests. I’d just retest daily for the next two to three days.
Hope you feel better soon.

Kroot · 02/02/2022 20:37

Thank you for your kind words, ladies. Nausea increasing a little bit now, so feeling a bit reassured. It’s odd isn’t it, I don’t like the nausea but I don’t like not having it either!
Will let you know how the scan goes tomorrow.

@TotoAnnihiliation

Don't worry *@PrettyTulip* - I've been living in McDonald's this week. Except today I am now repulsed by it. I can't think of anything that doesn't repulse me.

Any one else got a vile taste in their mouth? Any tips of getting rid of it?

I've got a horrible taste all the time 🤢 not metallic but like I have had a tummy bug and not eaten for 24hr is the only way I can describe it!

I've done one daily since Sunday and still negative today!
Isonthecase · 02/02/2022 21:09

monkeyjocks · 02/02/2022 21:20

Just sent my husband to McDonald's for fries and a hot apple pie. What have I become?

girafferafferaffe · 02/02/2022 21:34

The new chicken Big Mac is out today and I was sorely tempted...

HelenHomebird · 02/02/2022 23:59

I had my booking appointment today over the phone with a very lovely midwife, followed by a scan at First Scan/WTTW.

I think it was the first time it's finally hit me that we're going to be parents. The little bean is 7weeks, so 3 days earlier than we thought (late ovulation), and that little flickering heartbeat set off the waterworks 😭

EverydayIsPJday · 03/02/2022 09:36

Congratulations @HelenHomebird that's so wonderful 🥰🥰🥰

Billymay · 03/02/2022 11:06

Anyone else got the metallic taste in their mouth? X

annlee3817 · 03/02/2022 11:22

I did - lasted til about 8 weeks! Was eating stuff to stop it !
Whatelsecouldibecalled · 03/02/2022 12:19

I'm tired today. Work is mental. We have zero staff due to covid. Stretched is an understatement. .

Tinadecember · 03/02/2022 14:26

mmmmm chicken big mac!! although thinking about the cheese and mayo and lettuce on it is making me feel ill :( damn preggo hormones!

I had my booking in appt yesterday at 7+4, told the midwife how horrendous I am suffering with morning sickness. Not actually vomiting but the feeling like I am about to from the moment I open my eyes, thankfully the doctor has prescribed some anti sick meds and I plan to start taking them tonight. As much as it's a relief to have symptoms, I am so over the sickness now!!!

early scan booked for us for this Saturday, hopefully we will see a jellybean with a flickering heartbeat

girafferafferaffe · 03/02/2022 14:52

I'm losing confidence in my appearance already! Covered in spots. Getting fat already (because can't stop eating as starving and feeling poorly). I just look huge and spotty !

TotoAnnihiliation · 03/02/2022 15:42

Opinions please: my boss has suggested that I "pause" my job, until after I've had my baby. This is a dick move, right?
