Hi all,

I've just had my BFP and am due early October 2022, for my first baby I joined a group on here for people all due the same month so thought I'd start one this time round - early days I know but nice to speak to people in the same boat! 🙂

I'm 31 and have a DD who is 16 months.

Is anyone else due in October? How are you feeling?

Aww @Edmarie pleased your scan went well Smile hopefully you’ll be able to relax more knowing everything’s okay.
Congrats to all the new members with their bfp.

I’ve had a bit of cramping but I’m mostly just insanely tired. I’m supposed to be getting my house ready to sell but I keep retreating to the sofa and having naps. Is anybody else struggling to function because they’re exhausted? I also suffer with restless legs too when I’m pregnant and that’s started already in the evenings. X

HRHXO · 15/02/2022 13:13

Sorry this is such a random question and probably tmi but could someone describe their boob pains/aches to me please? I had a breast augmentation 3.5 years ago and had implants under the muscles. I had a narrow chest so I have quite a lot of side boob (lol) so when I sleep on my sides at night my boobs can become sore towards the centre where they smoosh together and the sides where they are being pressed. Anyway they now ache like sore/bruise feeling especially going up/down the stairs and my nipples are v slightly tender to touch but nothing I would have noticed had I not been pregnant and looking. Basically unsure if my boobs hurt due to pregnancy or if I've slept funny on my implants! 😅😅😅

Hope42022 · 15/02/2022 14:11

@Ellie1311 it’s bizarre that walking around helps, but I guess being scrunched over a keyboard does squidge everything together that is supposed to be getting ready to grow. Yes, I've got an early scan booked for a couple of weeks time where I’ll be 7 + 5 days. My natural worrier won’t be put at eases until I’ve seen something.

@HRHXO I was just telling my DH yesterday how my boobs had never felt like this before! Super heavy and achey. I noticed when I was doing some speed work on the treadmill and they hurt a lot and my nipples felt red raw! I’ve never had that in all my years of running.

daisiesandpeonies · 15/02/2022 14:51

@HRHXO they feel heavy and nipples very sore. Was the same with my last pregnancy for the first 8 weeks.
My best friend got implants and afterwards had 3 babies, no problems at all even with breastfeeding.

Diamondbabe · 15/02/2022 15:23

I need to stop eating I know that lol. Step away from the crisps...

Samthenanny · 15/02/2022 15:24

@HRHXO think your boob pains are normal pregnancy boob pains 😊

Mine hurt, underneath abs sides mainly. Find they hurt when trying to sleep and like you said going up and down stairs I have to hold them.
Nipples are also really sensitive, even if the duvet touches them it kills.
They’re swollen also and my nipples are definitely bigger, DP thinks it’s great but he’s not allowed to touch 🤣

Leibee87 · 15/02/2022 15:28

@HRHXO my boobs feel really bruised and heavy (and I feel like they've doubled in size)

My cramping has been worse this week (more frequent) just feels like strong period pain and now it feels like my ribcage is bruised too (probably from gagging/being sick) and Tmi but all the constipation/wind has kicked in so also probably explains the cramps. Got a reassurance scan on Thursday and I'll be 7wks. I'm so excited yet terrified.

BecLJ · 15/02/2022 15:54

@Nikki037297 that sounds horrible, sorry to hear you are suffering. Hope it improves soon x

Congrats to all the new BFPs! So lovely to see the group filling up Smile

My cramping seems to have eased a bit the last couple of days (which worries me) but had cramps on and off throughout my last pregnancy (not always as bad!).

@HRHXO My boobs feel heavy and sort of tingly...

HRHXO · 15/02/2022 16:12

Thanks everyone for sharing what your boobs currently feel like. I feel confident mine is down to the pregnancy now as its definitely an achey, heavy feeling.

Time is going so slooowww I'm just so impatient and excited 😅😆

thunderonlyhappenswhenits · 15/02/2022 16:27

Can't help with the boob pain, mine have barely changed ! The odd twinge/stab and possibly a tiny bit fuller? Can't really tell as I didn't spend much time groping my boobs until I got pregnant 😆

Has anyone got ovary pain ?? My left side got this dull ache that turns into a stab if I move in a certain way etc. not bad painful but can be uncomfortable. I ovulated from the left aswell so I'm thinking it might be a corpus luteum cyst ?

thunderonlyhappenswhenits · 16/02/2022 08:19

Think I've woken up with a fresh batch of hormones today! I'm raging ! No reason to be other than dp and ds doing my head in, poor lads.
Had abit of a wobble, shit nights sleep so I'm obviously tired which isn't helping. Dreams about Kanye west and all his drama 😆
Ended up doing my last cb digi after I promised myself I wouldn't... got 3+ again and was so relieved. Wtf is wrong with me today ?!

Edmarie · 16/02/2022 08:48

@thunderonlyhappenswhenits Lol, that's hilarious you dreamt about Kanye West's dramas!
Don't worry though, how you feel sounds totally normal to me.
The other day I was crying because I thought someone in the corner shop was mean to me... My hormones have always been extreme so it doesn't come as a surprise that my mood swings are even more intense at the mo!
I nearly killed my partner because he left the room (to wee) when I was mid sentence (telling him about the corner shop fiasco).
Going to be an interesting 9 months!

Curlywurly3 · 16/02/2022 08:59

If we are sharing odd dreams get this one for weird!!! The night before last, I had a dream Prince Charles was the Tinder Swindler and wanted to take me on a plane, the dream felt like it went on for ages! The even weirder part, I was actually having a good time! 😂🤦🏼‍♀️

Dorset555 · 16/02/2022 11:12

Hi guys anyone got any advice? Feeling a bit overwhelmed by pregnancy today and would really like to just chat it out with my best friends. It's my second baby and the first time I told my 2 best friends at 6 weeks and they were very supportive. But now it's the 2nd and my 2 best friends are struggling to conceive. I just don't know if I should be lumbering them with my news and emotions but also don't want to cut them out of what's going on in my life. I would 100% tell them if it wasn't for what they were going through. Hmmmm. Anyone experienced similar? X

Yellowdott · 16/02/2022 11:17

@Dorset555 Do you have family or other friends you could talk to about pregnancy?

I think it would be fine to tell them you're pregnant and I'm sure they'll be really happy for you, but it would be insensitive to discuss being overwhelmed by pregnancy/symptoms/etc.

I'd do that with others who aren't struggling to conceive, personally.

You can always talk to us too! What's making you feel overwhelmed? Flowers

Jfb23 · 16/02/2022 11:26

@Dorset555 I agree with everything @Yellowdott says and don't have anything to add. We're here with open ears though. Please feel free to open up to us.

I'm feeling super emotional. Started crying because my boobs didn't hurt anymore so feared the worst. Cried again when I realised they did and I'm only crying because of my hormones. Doesn't help that my DD has been spiking 40 degree temps for the past 10 days (just a virus, not covid and nothing extra the Dr's or hospital can offer) so I'm stressed and crying about that too.

And dreams, oh boy. I had some very strange dreams in my last pregnancy😳

Dorset555 · 16/02/2022 11:34

Thanks guys yea I totally agree and I def don't want to whinge about anything to them I think I just sort of want them to know I'm pregnant but maybe that's selfish of me and I should just wait till 12 weeks.
It's all just hitting me a bit the practicalities of having 2 under 2...moving house...telling work after only being back 3 weeks...
I'm so happy and lucky to be pregnant I really dont want to seem ungrateful!

123walrus · 16/02/2022 13:35

@Dorset555 I say this as someone who struggled to conceive… don’t speak to your friends about the crappy bits of pregnancy and the challenges of 2 under 2 as it could be really hurtful for them. Do you have some mum friends you could talk to or family? Or us! We’re always here!

Margo34 · 16/02/2022 13:41
**@JuniperAndTonic I'm with you! Number 1 for us too and no idea how to look after babies I feel so useless and clueless I've never really even babysat or looked after my nephews and nieces! I'm also so confused over all the stuff I'll need! Trying not to overthink it at this stage since it's so early but all the furniture, car seats, prams, bed, changing things, bottles, clothes etc is overwhelming! Trying to process just one day at a time for now rather than thinking about what I'll need to buy/learn later on 😬

I've had mild diarrhea almost every day this past week, nothing really bad but still quite unpleasant- I expected the opposite in early pregnancy, currently 5+2 I think.
@Hope42022, @HRHXO and @JuniperAndTonic You really don't need loads to get started, better to buy stuff when the baby is here once you've worked out what you actually need. Borrow as much as you can from friends or family with little ones. FB market place is your friend!!

My LO is 16m and doesn't have a chest of drawers, a wardrobe or her own room yet - it is still a building / decorating site (we started it 2 years ago this week) 🤣

Bridgey8 · 16/02/2022 13:44

Hi guys - I've been lurking for awhile but had a scan yesterday and all looked ok so far so thought I'd join with everything crossed 🤞🏻🤞🏻

Is anyone else's symptoms coming and going. I have had horrendous nausea for last week but today I've hardly any which has obviously got me petrified!

123walrus · 16/02/2022 13:49

@Bridgey8 Congratulations! How many weeks/days are you?

Yes the roller coaster of symptoms is difficult. I was feeling rubbish now I’m worried about not feeling rubbish.

Margo34 · 16/02/2022 13:52

@Dorset555

I'm also not looking forward to telling my workplace....I only started in September and don't think it will be too well received. Hard to tell. I want someone at work to know though, unofficially though, if that makes sense? I work in a school where some of the kids lash out so I have to be a bit extra careful! Then I feel like...well if I'm telling a new colleague, I should tell my sister or friend as well. But I don't want to jinx anything having suffered MC in the past.

Such a minefield! The practicalities are a bit overwhelming, too 🙈

Dorset555 · 16/02/2022 13:53

@123walrus thank you that's really good advise. I just don't know if I should tell them at all now or wait to 12 weeks. Seems very strange keeping it from them but I really don't want to upset them in any way. I think I'll leave it at least for a bit. I can't imagine how hard to must be for those struggling to conceive x

Vie8126 · 16/02/2022 14:11

Hey everyone I'm tentatively joining... Coming up to 7wks I'm not 100% on my first date of my last period as I have a 6 month old and was too busy to keep track! I have 3 older kids of 21, 17 and 13 from my first marriage plus the baby and now another so that is baby no5! It's a massive shock and has taken us a while to get our heads around it. I'll be going back from mat leave pregnant - dreading approaching work with that one! Also all the stupud comments of 'don't you have a tv' 'god you'll have your hands full' etc etc. Spent my 40th last year pregnant and here I'll be spending this birthday pregnant too - will have to make up for it next year now haha.

So anyone got two 14 months apart or got a small age gap I need all the advice!!

I'm guessing my due date as 10th October but hoping to book an early scan for next week.

I am a complete worrier in these early stages and worry daily that I don't have symptoms (I don't have sore boobs) whatever happens will happen trying to repeat that and keep calm!

Hello to you all 😊

SharkoG · 16/02/2022 14:14

Does anyone else have little symptoms? I'm 6 weeks. It again makes me doubt myself, even took another test yesterday (super positive).
I am not having any sickness yet (only once for couple of hours), contrary I just want to eat more, I have no cramps - maybe as due to adenomyosis I have very painful periods and often ovulation so now my body just don't register anything that is less painful.
My boobs are bigger and for couple of weeks they were very sore - now it either settled in or I got used to it.

My only symptom that i struggle with is that I am incredibly exhausted. I struggle to stay awake despite sleeping at night even more than usual. Today is one of the worst days, I literally just stare at my work screen dowsing off all the time.

Anyone else feels similar? It's my first pregnancy and I just don't really know what to expect, can sickness develop later?
