Hi all,

I've just had my BFP and am due early October 2022, for my first baby I joined a group on here for people all due the same month so thought I'd start one this time round - early days I know but nice to speak to people in the same boat! 🙂

I'm 31 and have a DD who is 16 months.

Is anyone else due in October? How are you feeling?

@Nikki037297 that sounds awful! How many weeks are you? Perhaps call the doctor so they can prescribe something?

Leibee87 · 15/02/2022 08:04

@Nikki037297 I'd probably chat to the Dr.
Sounds horrible.
Have you got travel sickness bands?

HRHXO · 15/02/2022 08:06

@Diamondbabe oooh yeah great idea I hadn't thought of fb marketplace, thank you!

@daisiesandpeonies I've been having cramping since my bfp around abdomen, hips and lower back right into my bum. It's on and off most days. I've had no bleeding and my tests have been getting very very dark and I had 3+ today ay 5+3/4 so feeling confident it's nothing to worry about.

@Nikki037297 oooh that sounds horrible maybe you could speak to your gp or midwife? I have terrible insomnia at night, I can fall asleep fine byt wake up at 12 then 2 then 4 etc all night then I'm super sleepy all day. I also wake up really hungry and snack on crackers because I don't have the energy to get out of bed right away and make breakfast.

Jfb23 · 15/02/2022 08:50

@Diamondbabe my little girls in nursery 2 days a week. We pay for it though and I only get statutory maternity so its going to be a squeeze but she'll be staying in nursery. I want her to keep her place and have some routine.

Diamondbabe · 15/02/2022 08:56

@Jfb23 it will be nice to have some alone time with the baby. It's a funny feeling the idea of having two and not all the one and one time like we did with our first. Not sure how I'll cope as my little boy isn't in nursery until the January. I'm sure I'll just get there!

How's everyone feeling. Resisted the urge to use my last CB until tomorrow. I hope I'll get the 3+. Then no more testing but I've got an early scan next Thursday. It's early but if I can see a heartbeat it will ease the anxiety for like a day lol.

I had a few scans with my first and it did help. It's expensive but for me it's worth paying the money. Covid was so strange last time as my husband couldn't come so it will be nice to have a different experience.

I've got one cb digi left but told myself I won't be using it. I did one on Saturday and got 3+ so need to step away now, I've only done two though tbf! I've got a scan booked for the 27th I'll be exactly 8 weeks, really nervous but trying not to dwell on anything !

SunnySideUp2020 · 15/02/2022 09:03

Anyone else have agonising back pain?
I can t do anything. I am crippled. Can't look after my 10m baby 🥲 thankfully she walks but I really feel shit about it.

I cant take ibuprofen and really don't knwo what to do...

Aubyone · 15/02/2022 09:08

Hi ladies 6w 4 today and have my booking appointment on the phone in about 30mins (lucky to get it this early I think but think it's just a chat about health, family history etc and get me properly booked in for 12w scan etc) - gotta go in person on Friday for the blood pressure, Bmi, hiv blood test etc and I think testing for thalassemia risk etc.

I have to do a massive shout out to travel. Sickness wristbands - I am always sceptical when people claim particularly products actually work but these absolutely do for me. While I am wearing them properly my nausea is very manageable and actually non existent after a few hours in the morning - if I don't wear them, I am nauseas all day. I'm now wearing them 24/7 and they really help. Best £3.99 from amazon I've ever spent!

Nikki037297 · 15/02/2022 09:26

I’m 6+3 everyone I do think I’ll speak to my dr again they already gave me cyclizine I don’t want to seam a pest to them ringing up again. But are they just going to tell me to give them a few weeks and this is torture the only time I’m getting a break is when I’m asleep and sometimes very late at night

HermioneGr · 15/02/2022 09:49

Hello hope it's OK I join! I got my BFP last week & approx 4+2 today so still early. I will just follow along & join in as and when I can if that's alright. Congratulations everyone else!!!

HermioneGr · 15/02/2022 09:50

Forgot to say I'm due approx 24th October xx

HermioneGr · 15/02/2022 09:52

And I also have a DD who is 14 months! I joined one of these groups when I was pregnant with her as it was lockdown, found it very useful and lovely.

Need to get into a better habit of writing in one post instead of several haha oops... X

Ellie1311 · 15/02/2022 10:14

Due Mid October! But having very bad cramps. Had 4 chemicals last year but tests getting darker so not sure what to think!

HRHXO · 15/02/2022 10:23

@Ellie1311 hi! Try not to worry too much about cramps I believe it's normal. I've been cramping constantly since my bfp but Dr Google and my books all say normal unless really painful or bleeding. I got my 3+ on a cb digital this morning and now around 5+3 or 4 x

Thank you, I remember cramping with my successful pregnancies too but not to this extent. Paracetamol and hot water bottle daily it’s awful. I’ll be having a 6 week scan as had ectopic few years back. Had rainbow baby since then but doesn’t make it any less scary! I hope they subside soon. Have yours eased at all? Xx

Jfb23 · 15/02/2022 10:30

@Curlywurly3 hello, I've tried joining the group but it takes me to my homepage. If I private message you my name are you able to add me that way, please.

@Diamondbabe yes it'll be very strange having 2 to deal with. When I had my first, coffee shops weren't even open yet, so I'm looking forward to doing normal things like that after a sleepless night. Hoping I'll also get some 1 on 1 time with my eldest which will be nice.

So far I've resisted testing again. I had really bad anxiety with my first, testing daily and 2 early scans. This time I'm trying to be more chill, what will be will be and no amount of stressing will change that. I will probably do my last clear blue digital next week sometime to see if it's moved up to 3+.

I'm still undecided about an early scan. I think (all being well) it'll make it real which will be nice.

HeyDuggeesFavouriteSquirrel · 15/02/2022 10:41

I've just booked an early ultrasound for two weeks time. I'm v. nervous.

Curlywurly3 · 15/02/2022 11:13

@Jfb23 the link only lasts for a short time, try again and if it doesn’t work we’ll try another way fb.me/g/2OAUFfsHt/1VdcHR2b

@Ellie1311 I had bad cramps from just before 5 weeks till 6 weeks! Some where so bad they’d stop me in my tracks or they’d wake me up quite a bit through the night. I didn’t take anything but constantly had my hot water bottle. I’m now nearly 7 weeks and they’ve eased off loads this week, still get some but they’re just period style cramps.
Fingers crossed it’s the same for you

Hope42022 · 15/02/2022 11:37

It’s reassuring for me, selfishly, to read that lots of you are also having cramps as I’ve been Googling about them non stop. Mine seem particularly sore when I’m sat upright which isn’t ideal for a desk job. I have to stand up and walk around every so often to straighten everything out!

Yes I’ve been waking up at night - just can’t get comfortable - I actually feel so much better walking around definitlybdont notice them as much but I have office job so I’m sat most of the day. Thank the lord I work from home so I can have hot water bottle / duvet to make me feel better 🤣
Did you get an early scan or anything?

Ellie1311 · 15/02/2022 12:08

I’m exactly the same. My work is computer based so sat for most of the day - I feel better when up and walking around. I’ve been Googling none stop too and just keep getting polar opposite answers! Are you having an early scan?
Samthenanny · 15/02/2022 12:21

@Ellie1311 ah yeah most definitely worse when sitting. I have a hours commute each way to work and I found it very uncomfortable. In the night I’d have to walk around, sway, rock 🤣
Lucky you work from home though and can chill with your hot water bottle, I ended up walking with mine stuffed in my leggings and the boys I look after (I’m a nanny) just thought I was bonkers haha.
Apparently it’s everything stretching.
I’m booked in for a early scan Sunday when I’ll be 7+2. Are you getting one?

Edmarie · 15/02/2022 12:25

I know everyone is different, but I definitely had lots of aches and crampy feelings (which have massively calmed down now).

I think I'm at 7+5, and had an early scan on Sunday - all seems well, and saw a heartbeat too! Very surreal, but quite reassuring :)
Would recommend getting an early scan to ease anxiety

Haha that sounds like me at home walking round with it stuffed in my joggers. That’ll be reassuring for you with the early scan.
I haven’t booked one yet (was waiting to see if I started bleeding or something and I also don’t want to tempt fate by booking one too early - how awful) but I’ll be having one at around 6-7 weeks hopefully as I’ve had an ectopic before so any subsequent pregnancies need to be checked. I’m just a bag of nerves!
