Hi all,

I've just had my BFP and am due early October 2022, for my first baby I joined a group on here for people all due the same month so thought I'd start one this time round - early days I know but nice to speak to people in the same boat! 🙂

I'm 31 and have a DD who is 16 months.

Is anyone else due in October? How are you feeling?

I was quite anxious but then I came to realise Its something out of my control and just try and take each day as it comes and am slowly learning to trust the process (I'm also probably quite naive)

HMFx · 14/02/2022 16:07

I was so so anxious from about 4-6 weeks but have just come to realise like others have said nothing I can do will change the outcome. The baby will be here if it wants to be here. And of course early scans for reassurance if that helps. I know it's easier said than done. I've suffered with anxiety most of my life so I understand the struggle. Hope we can all keep each other going 🤞🏼🧡

Mamamoo1234 · 14/02/2022 17:08

I think what @thunderonlyhappenswhenits said hit the nail on the head - no amount of worrying will change the outcome.

It’s still hard not to though isn’t it? I’ve been trying to catch myself worrying and find something to take my mind off it. I regretted worrying so much during my last pregnancy. Everything ended up fine but I wish I could have enjoyed it. xx

BecLJ · 14/02/2022 18:09

Congratulations to all the new BFPs!

@Margo34 my toddler turns 2 a week before my due date so I'm the same - might be 2 under 2 just!

@maybein2022 in terms of anxiety I don't really have advice as I'm feeling very much the same! I'm mostly trying to keep busy so I don't have too much time to think about things...

Hope everyone had a good Monday (despite electric bikes and annoying teenagers!)

Hi! Got my positive about a week ago for no.2. Not 100% sure on dates but I think I’d be due around 14th October. Thought I might be a bit more relaxed 2nd time round, but I’ve got no symptoms whereas I did the first time, so it’s making me nervous! Think I might look at an early scan as I don’t think I can wait until 12 weeks!

Would someone be able to post the link to the Facebook group please? I’m still in one from my first and it’s been really useful so would love to join. 🤞🏻

MrsG2021 · 14/02/2022 19:33

@maybein2022 I’m quite an anxious person anyway so I’ve found the early weeks tough too…worrying about not having enough symptoms, checking for blood ever time I go to the toilet etc. I’m 7+2 now and I feel like I’m starting to turn a corner. We told our parents this weekend and went for a private reassurance scan where we saw the heartbeat and I think that has really helped x

maybein2022 · 14/02/2022 19:42

Thanks @HeyDuggeesFavouriteSquirrel @thunderonlyhappenswhenits @Leibee87 @HMFx @Mamamoo1234 @BecLJ @MrsG2021 for your kind words. It helps knowing I’m not alone! That’s great news about your scan MrsG2021, I have one booked for a similar date.

You’re totally right about worrying not changing the outcome, and what will be will be. It’s very hard though! Currently away (on the UK) for half term which is so nice, so trying to distract myself with my kids and nice things. Work will be a good distraction when I go back on monday, usually too busy to have a minute to think!

@Blob231 welcome and congratulations on your BFP!

Has anyone started thinking about names yet? In the spirit of being positive, we have been talking about it and I think we’ve actually settled on our girls name! Boys are harder! Anyone else?

maybein2022 · 14/02/2022 19:42

I meant to say as well, to all those feeling anxious, I hope you’re all ok. It is a hard feeling to have, and yes, let’s all try and get each other through!

Yellowdott · 14/02/2022 20:07

I wasn't feeling anxious but had some spotting earlier when I went to the loo Sad 6 weeks today... Fingers crossed it's nothing.

I have a private scan booked in 12 days but now it seems forever away.

Congratulations to all the new ladies who recently got BFPs!

BH1926 · 14/02/2022 20:28

Hi wondering if it's okay to join? I got my BFP last weds at 10dpo. Previous history of CPs so still quite nervous at this point. I keep POAS and got a dye stealer yesterday (14DPO) which I didn't get with CPs before so trying to take that as a positive but maybe doesn't mean much 🤷🏼‍♀️

Due date is 25th October (DD birthday is 26th 🙈)
Symptoms I've got is very tender breasts and being sick 🤢 I had sickness all throughout my DD pregnancy 😒 hoping it eases this time!

Congratulations on all your BFPs ❤️ xx

Diamondbabe · 14/02/2022 20:34

@Jfb23 @Hannahbobs @Dorset555 this gives me hope that my little boy will start feeding himself, he's teething so currently he keeps throwing everything on the floor 😬😬 are your little ones in nursery currently? Mine starts at 2 so there's going to be about 2/3 months where we cross over so that's going to be tough!

Diamondbabe · 14/02/2022 20:37

@HRHXO I know it looks mega expensive and it is if you buy everything new. Have a look on fb market place there's such great deals on prams etc and they're literally new. Definitely have a look you can pick up some great deals x

daisiesandpeonies · 14/02/2022 21:28

I'm having quite a lot of cramping - similar to PMS lower back and abdomen. Had this with DD and went for an early scan - everything was fine. However it's still making me really anxious this evening! Going to call Dr tomorrow morning. Is anyone having similar?

Hope you're okay and hopefully it's just one of them spotting episodes they say can be normal ❤️

I'm cramping alot tonight too. It started as sciatica in my leg, then my hip and it's moved into lower abdomen. Hoping it's just normal growing pains for us
maybein2022 · 14/02/2022 21:51

@Yellowdott everything crossed for you, I really hope it’s just spotting which is very common. Good luck for your scan as well. X

maybein2022 · 14/02/2022 21:52

@BH1926 welcome to the board and loads of luck with your pregnancy!

@daisiesandpeonies I have had some cramping too, but I do remember having it with my other two, so trying to stay positive. I have read that cramping is very common in early pregnancy though.

handbagsandholidays · 14/02/2022 22:26

@mam2b89 I'm so sorry to hear you're going through a similar thing. I hope it is helpful to know that all turned out ok for me in the end. I have my official follow up scan tomorrow but booked a private one in the interim and all was fine x

BH1926 · 14/02/2022 23:00

@Curlywurly3 I've requested to join too hope that's okay xx

BH1926 · 14/02/2022 23:09

@daisiesandpeonies I'm cramping tonight too hoping it's nothing but hard not to worry ❤️

@Curlywurly3 thank you 😊

Yellowdott · 15/02/2022 07:06

Thank you @thunderonlyhappenswhenits @maybein2022 @BH1926 Haven't had anymore since so hopefully it was normal, but quite scary!

Hope the cramps for those who have them aren't too bad! I had cramping with my first and all was fine 😊

Hi everyone again, I thought I would post in here because I’m not doing too good. I’m having insomnia and waking extremely early the other morning it was 2am today 3am, very soon after waking my morning sickness starts and I start vomiting. Nothing is helping with the sickness Iv tried ginger, crackers, breakfast biscuits. They just come back up. Is anyone else having this?
