Hi all,

I've just had my BFP and am due early October 2022, for my first baby I joined a group on here for people all due the same month so thought I'd start one this time round - early days I know but nice to speak to people in the same boat! 🙂

I'm 31 and have a DD who is 16 months.

Is anyone else due in October? How are you feeling?

@JuniperAndTonic

Hi everyone, feeling brave enough to post properly now after posting right at the beginning and lurking!

Got my BFP nearly 3 weeks ago now, due date form LMP is 5th October. I’ve been quite anxious due to a miscarriage at 6 weeks in November and not really wanting to believe it was real. I started bleeding on Tuesday so was convinced I was out and having another miscarriage, but I had an early scan in EPAU yesterday and saw a tiny bean with a heartbeat measuring just a few days behind (apparently normal at this stage as they’re so tiny it’s hard to get measurements!) so I’m exactly 6 weeks today based on the scan or 6+3 based on LMP 🥰

I’ve had a lot of nausea this week, couldn’t eat much yesterday and was actually sick after taking one bite of my lunch! But I’ve been feeling a little better today and managed to eat as normal.

I’ve also been prescribed Cyclogest (progesterone pessaries) because of the bleeding and previous miscarriage - is anyone else on them/been on them? I’d love to hear some experiences!

Hope everyone is doing okay and not suffering with too many symptoms! I’ve tried to catch up but there’s a lot of pages to read 😅

I've taken LOADS of progesterone for ivf, to be honest i never found the side effects bad at all, sore boobs mainly, they're just messy ! Use pantyliners otherwise they will ruin your knickers !

@JuniperAndTonic I’ve been prescribed cyclones before. No side effects. My advice would be to use them rectally as it’s less messy!

JuniperAndTonic · 12/02/2022 19:43

Thank you that’s good to hear! Yes have discovered the messiness already and went out and bought some pantyliners 😅 I also coughed this morning a little while after I put it ina nd it came back out 😂 I’ve also been having the wet feeling all the time pretty much since my BFP. Pregnancy is so glamorous eh? 🤣

Ivfmummy2be · 12/02/2022 19:44

@juniperandtonic I second what someone else has said about using them rectally if possible, less messy. I also took them for previous ivf cycles. Am on progesterone injections this time instead.

123walrus · 12/02/2022 20:17

Meant to say cyclogest not cyclones! Although it seems a bit gross at first, rectally is a lot less messy.

Ivfmummy2be · 12/02/2022 20:41

@123walrus knew what you meant made me giggle though x

Trying81 · 13/02/2022 06:01

Struggled keeping anything down for days, even water

Doctor thinks I have HG and has started me off with meds. It's going to be a long few months if little bean is already kicking my arse at 7 weeks

LR89 · 13/02/2022 07:31

Congratulations everyone!
I found out I was pregnant (first baby) a few weeks ago. It was the day after my dad suddenly passed away so it’s been really bitter sweet! I’m hoping the stress of everything doesn’t affect the baby, and this news will bring the family a tiny piece of joy in these hard times.

123walrus · 13/02/2022 07:47

Sorry to hear you’re so unwell @Trying81 I was about to recommend the hypermesis support thread but saw you’re on it when I went to copy the link. Hopefully the meds will start to work and the ladies there can offer some advice.

@LR89 Congratulations and I’m really sorry to hear about your dad. It must be a really bitter sweet time for you all.

mooonbaby · 13/02/2022 08:20

@LR89 so sorry to hear about your dad and congratulations on your pregnancy. I can’t imagine how bitter sweet life must be now.

Sorry to hear you’ve been so unwell @Trying81. HG sounds like hell on earth - I hope the meds work!

mooonbaby · 13/02/2022 08:22

I finally got a dye stealer on a cheapie today at 5+6. Is anyone else still testing or am I just crazy? 😂 I have a pack of cheapies that I might as well use up

Due October 2022
jadew88 · 13/02/2022 08:30

@mooonbaby me! 4+3 and did my third cheapie strip yesterday, and am dating them. It's interesting to see the line get darker, and I also think it's reassurance it's not a chemical pregnancy.

I got 2 packs of 2 cheapies from Tesco for £1 and have two left, plus one CB digital. My plan is to take the digital probably back end of next week and see if it has progressed to 3+ (I know they're not the most reliable so I won't be too concerned if it hasn't, but I might as well use it!)

arianasky · 13/02/2022 09:55

thunderonlyhappenswhenits · 13/02/2022 10:09

Sickness is back this morning, it's not as bad as some though so I'm grateful for that. More just an underlying queesy-ness !
6 weeks today. Time is officially standing still! Anyone else feel like the days have draggedddd since finding out ?

Ivfmummy2be · 13/02/2022 10:15

So sorry for the losses xx
@thunderonlyhapoenswhenits I'm 6 weeks today too and feeling really sick, not going to throw up but just really nauseous. And yes time is going so slow right now!

Curlywurly3 · 13/02/2022 10:15

@arianasky I’m so sorry to hear this, so many of us get BFP’s and too many of us end up with losses. You WILL get your sticky bean. Take care of yourself Lovely xx

xxfxx · 13/02/2022 10:19

Sorry to hear @arianasky take care of yourself x

Diamondbabe · 13/02/2022 11:14

@arianasky oh no in devastated for you. I was with you in the TTC thread. Please lol after yourself x

Diamondbabe · 13/02/2022 11:26

@arianasky that should say please look after yourself x

JuniperAndTonic · 13/02/2022 12:10

The nausea is back today 😩 I’m also starving though so going to try some plain food and hopefully keep it down. Having some pretty strong aversions to dairy - the thought of eating creamy/cheesey food makes me feel ill which is rubbish as I usually love it!

JuniperAndTonic · 13/02/2022 12:10

Sending love to @arianasky ❤️
