Hi all,

I've just had my BFP and am due early October 2022, for my first baby I joined a group on here for people all due the same month so thought I'd start one this time round - early days I know but nice to speak to people in the same boat! 🙂

I'm 31 and have a DD who is 16 months.

Is anyone else due in October? How are you feeling?

Congratulations on all the new bfps.

@Darcy1990 I'm taking the pregnecare plus. I went into h&b asking about vit d and they started asking me about strengths recommended by Dr's and as I haven't had my appt yet I just stuck with the pregnecare.

Ivfmummy2be · 07/02/2022 09:24

Congratulations everyone on all the new BFPs!!!
I'm taking Seven Seas pregnancy multi vitamin, it's got all you folic acid and vitamin d, plus others and ginger, supposed to help with morning sickness but at 5+1 I haven't experienced any yet. Got an early scan at fertility clinic in 2 weeks so will ask them if there is anything else I need, buy they originally told me just folic acid for now.
Hope everyone is feeling good today.

Darcy1990 · 07/02/2022 09:30

@123walrus I’ve always been on the low side of iron hence why I’m thinking about it.
I read somewhere (could have been a US site) that iron is generally advised for all pregnancies as the iron requirements become really high as your baby starts building it’s own blood supply, which I thought, sounded like it made sense.
From my experience iron level are really hard to get up when they’re low.

@Leibee87 @Trying81 Thanks Smile I might wonder over to H&B and see what they’ve got + I’m just out of vit D

Lndnew · 07/02/2022 09:37

Can I join? I just had my bfp yesterday so very early. Due 19th October. First one for me so a bit overwhelmed at the moment!

arianasky · 07/02/2022 09:39

Morning all, tentatively joining if that's ok? Got my BFP on Thursday at 8dpo was v v v v faint and the lines have progressed since, I got a 1-2 weeks on a clearblue this morning 🎉 I had a MMC in October and a CP last month so very nervous 😬 I have no children so fingers crossed everything goes ok and this will be my first child. Going by LMP I'm 4+4 today but by ovulation dates I'm 4 exactly, how is everyone? And congratulations on the BFP's 💕

Congratulations to everyone with new positive tests!! Welcome on board!

Regarding supplements, I just take vit D and folic acid. I have a healthy diet and my iron levels have remained high throughout previous pregnancies so I don't feel the need for anything else.

I'm 6 weeks now and my initial nausea seems to have calmed down but the 1st trimester exhaustion kicked in over the weekend. I could totally have a nap already this morning!

123walrus · 07/02/2022 10:48

@Darcy1990 Do you have a blood test scheduled? If not it may be worth asking your surgery if they can do one to check iron levels and prescribe you something if you need it

Ivfmummy2be · 07/02/2022 11:03

Has anyone got their first midwife appointment yet? My 12 week scan has come through but not my initial appointment. It's still a good while off but wondering if that will be before the scan I hope so!

Trying81 · 07/02/2022 11:05

I’ve got my initial appt booked but not my scan

Having an early one on Friday though, for some reassurance

Darcy1990 · 07/02/2022 11:06

@123walrus not yet but will do so. Im scared of calling my GP too early as I’m afraid of rejection Grin

scottishsunshine96 · 07/02/2022 11:10

@Trying81 I'm the same- booking in appointment is in a couple of weeks but I don't think you are booked in for the scan in my area until you've attended that appointment. I've got my early scan on Thursday though- really excited.

maybein2022 · 07/02/2022 11:11

Thanks everyone for the congratulations, and huge congratulations to everyone else who is on here too! I really hope we all have smooth and happy pregnancies. ❤️

@BecLJ I had an emergency c section with my first, and due to a few issues I was advised to have a planned c section for my second. Unfortunately he had other ideas, and I went into labour 4 days before my scheduled c section, resulting in an another emergency c section. So, this time I know I will need another one, and I will be asking about the possibility of planning it for 38 weeks rather than 39 due to two previous sections, and being a bit older this time. Will see what they say. Good luck deciding, I would have loved a VBAC but it wasn’t to be- that said, my friends who have had planned sections have said it’s much better than an emergency so I’m sure whatever you choose/are advised will be good. Wishing you all the best!

@Diamondbabe I honestly don’t mind the sex- we are lucky enough to have one of each. I don’t have a feeling as yet. Will definitely find out though- way too impatient!

Vitamins wise, as soon as we had the ‘slip up’ shall we say, I started taking folic acid just in case I was pregnant, and I’ve now just ordered some seven seas pregnancy vitamins.

Symptoms wise, just heavy boobs and a bit crampy and a little bit nauseous but nothing too much.

Anyway, looking forward to seeing how everyone gets along! Good luck all.

Trying81 · 07/02/2022 11:14

Hope all goes well @scottishsunshine96

How far along will you be then? I should be 6+6 on Friday

Feeling very happy to see these tests today 😃 Only 3+6 so super early.

I posted a thread earlier as my test was lighter this morning than it was yesterday afternoon. It’s much darker again now. In my previous pregnancy my tests were always lighter in the morning, very strange!

Can’t wait to share this journey with you all :)

Due October 2022
scottishsunshine96 · 07/02/2022 11:42

@Curlywurly3 Congratulations!!!

@Trying81 Thank you! Unsure how far along I am due to very irregular periods- I'm thinking around the 6/7 week mark but looking forward to getting some clarity from the scan. I had my 3+ on CB last week but apart from that it's all guess work from me!

Trying81 · 07/02/2022 11:56

I got my 3+ last week too @scottishsunshine96 so you could be similar dates to me Smile

The flo app has me as due 2 October

Yellowdott · 07/02/2022 12:25

Congratulations to all the new BFPs!😁

I called my surgery today (made it to 5 weeks!) and they sent me a self-referral link to a form. I filled in the form and got a message that they will contact me for the booking in appointment between 10-12 weeks?! Isn't that super late? With my first the appointment was at 8 weeks.

Now I'm worried that I'll end up having my scan too late for the nuchal test since it'll likely be beyond 14 weeks if booking in is so late? :S

Anyone else had similar with self referral?

arianasky · 07/02/2022 12:39

Hi @Tandabear probably I'm on about 20 conception boards 😂😂 not everyone gets symptoms and all pregnancies are different try not to worry too much 💕

Ivfmummy2be · 07/02/2022 13:18

Hi @yellowdott I have had my scan through for 12 weeks but not heard from midwives yet for initial appointment after filling out self referral. I think I should get an appointment before the scan, like you say it should be before 10 weeks for tests. I think they are running behind on those appointments so I'm going to give them a couple weeks then chase them up. I'm only 5 weeks so got plenty of time yet.

Leibee87 · 07/02/2022 13:39

Got an early scan scheduled on the 17th (will be 7wks) midwife on the 22nd for booking in appt.

Samthenanny · 07/02/2022 14:39

@Ivfmummy2be & @Leibee87 how long from referring did you receive your appointments?
I referred myself last Tuesday and I’m yet to hear

Ivfmummy2be · 07/02/2022 14:43

@samthenanny I filled out the referral Tuesday or Wednesday last week and got my appointment letter for my scan on Saturday, so really quick.

Samthenanny · 07/02/2022 15:19

@Ivfmummy2be that was super quick. I’ll be 6 weeks on Friday so if I haven’t heard by early next week I’ll chase them up
