Hi all,

I've just had my BFP and am due early October 2022, for my first baby I joined a group on here for people all due the same month so thought I'd start one this time round - early days I know but nice to speak to people in the same boat! 🙂

I'm 31 and have a DD who is 16 months.

Is anyone else due in October? How are you feeling?

@Nikki037297 Congratulations! I keep testing too! I was using the first response but I switched to strips because it was getting pricey!
I have a weird feeling I might be having twins, but I think it's just because I'm getting symptoms so early compared to the first. I've got a scan in two weeks so I'll find out then.
I'm not having strange dreams but I switched straight to not sleeping! 😂 x

girlmummy25 · 03/02/2022 08:48

Ive been testing every other day, today is 5wks 2days and got my 3+ on clear blue but ive currently got covid and had a small bit of brown blood when I wiped this morning.

Its worrying me as ive had 4 miscarriages so I just really want this one to be ok! Going to try and hold out until 7wks 3days at least for a private scan

KirstyJayne82 · 03/02/2022 10:00

I'm 39 too! Think I'll be due day after my 40th so hope baby is a wee bit early so can say I was 39 😂

I'm sorry you're unwell. Deffo get the scan if it puts your mind at ease x

@Nikki037297

Is anyone still testing because they are worried??? I can’t stop testing! I bought a bag of 50 tests for £7 and it’s really kept my mind at ease I’m now 19dpo. Iv suffered a lot of chemical pregnancies in the past and Iv been so worried this was going to be another but I do feel a lot more comfortable about my dark line now but I keep having the strangest dream that it’s twins! Is anyone else having strange dreams?
You know I have had some strange dreams. I can't remember if I had them with my son but not normal for me. I've also been having really deep sleeps which is unusual too. I'm too scared to keep testing but take a breath every time I go to bathroom
HeyDuggeesFavouriteSquirrel · 03/02/2022 15:37

I found out late with my first so by then it a definite 'sticky' pregnancy. I feel anxious about the idea of testing again. I'm just going to wait and hope this one sticks.

HeyDuggeesFavouriteSquirrel · 03/02/2022 15:38

Going to book a private scan when is a good time? Eight weeks too early?

Chl03 · 03/02/2022 15:54

@HeyDuggeesFavouriteSquirrel I did IVF for my pregnancy and I have my first scan at 6+5 as there should be a heartbeat by then 🤞 I'm not sure when scan places recommend but I was 6+5 with my first too and I had a perfect heartbeat for him which really put my mind at ease x

Trying81 · 03/02/2022 16:25

Anyone still testing - my local co op had a load of clearblue tests in clearance for £3.50, the ones which show how many weeks

syda · 03/02/2022 17:03

@Trying81 feel like I need to go check our coop now 🤣 although im trying to be good and not test.

With my first pregnancy we had an early private scan at 9 weeks, baby measured 10w and was a cool little bean, wriggling away. Was really a cool experience! But I've since had a MC and had those dreaded scans where things dont go right so feel like the novelty of an early scan has worn off to me... however if money wasnt tight I'd probably be booking one for 8+ weeks 😬

How's everyone feeling? I hadnt had many symptoms these last few days, but currently feeling quite rough.

To all our FTM - please enjoy the uninterrupted naps and moments for all of us on number 2+, oh how I envy you! 😁

BecLJ · 03/02/2022 17:35

I have tested a couple of times since my first BFP but I only have the CB weeks indicator ones left and it worried me that it hasn't moved to 3+ weeks yet (I'm 5 +2) so I'm trying to hold off on doing more. Definitely still worried about seeing blood too.

Does anyone else feel time has slowed right down??

I'm knackered and my back and boobs ache and weirdly I feel really warm today but surprisingly not had the sickness today. It always worries me when symptoms go away. I'll do a cb test at weekend to see if it's gone to 3+ weeks as I'm 5+1 today I think.

I'm having an early scan (7wks) just cause 1. I want to feel reassured something is there before seeing the midwife and 2. We want to tell people with the scan pic and I'm rubbish at keeping secrets there's noway I'd be able to hold it in till week 12 😂. 3. I'm so anxious that I'm hoping it will put my mind at ease a little.

Yep it's been the longest week and 2 days of my life
Samthenanny · 03/02/2022 17:56

@HeyDuggeesFavouriteSquirrel we’ve booked one for when I’ll be 7+2

I’m shattered, I’m napping at work, have very sore boobs, period style cramps that come and go throughout the day and really nauseous! Oh and shooty pains up my bits and bum 🤷🏻‍♀️

TigerTinsel · 03/02/2022 18:54

I haven't tested since 14dpo. I was planning on doing one today (5 week 0 days) but woke all clammy and hot at 3am and needing a wee so didn't. I've had a lot of period type cramps and back ache this week which got quite uncomfortable. Also had four days (not consecutive) with one occasion each day of a tiny amount of brown spotting so hoping it's just old blood from all the stretching and the old built up from implantation. Also had periods-type pains in my bits. Strangely hardly any symptoms today though just occasional twinges and tender boobs. I don't know if I want symptoms or don't!

I have received two packs of information this week from the nhs ahead of my first appointment. They include information on symptoms around early pregnancy which has been reassuring so worth scheduling your first appt.

Trying81 · 03/02/2022 19:12

@Samthenanny I have the exact same symptoms

Went for a walk last night and the shooty pains were so uncomfortable

Yellowdott · 03/02/2022 19:13

I'm feeling a bit sad today that it won't be DD, DH and I anymore in 8 months. It's so silly because I really want another baby, but the reality of the big change ahead hit me today. I'm also really worried about how DD will react. I think she senses something is different because she's been a nightmare going to sleep since I found out!

Anyone else with DC feeling anything similar?

Hope you're all feeling okay despite nausea/exhaustion!

Absolutely. My 14 year old is going to take some coming round as his little brother drives him up the wall and his dad also has a baby (1yo-we are not together) so I feel really guilty.

My 3 year old will be 4 by then and I do worry but not as much as I did when I was pregnant with him because now I have 2 children I understand how the love I feel can be shared if that makes sense?

Sorry I'm probably waffling Confused

SunnySideUp2020 · 03/02/2022 19:41

Feeling the same here!
Really worried about my DD. She is very needy and I am scared I wont have the time and energy to be with her as much when the baby comes. Worrying about our sleeping arrangements too.... the BF etc...

And yes to the FTM enjoy the naps and rest for us!!!!!

I have 0 symptoms but then again been tired for 9 months (since DD was born).

Got my 2 to 3 weeks on digital at 14dpo ans the cheapies were as dark as control so for me that s all i needed for now. No more testing.

I have an appt when I will be 7w normally so hoping the doc does a scan.

BecLJ · 03/02/2022 19:53

@Yellowdott oh I definitely know what you mean. When I look at my daughter and think 'oh you're going to be a big sister' then I think how can you be? You're still so small yourself! I do worry about how do you split the time and love between two little ones. But I suppose people do it all the time! Mostly I'm very excited that she will (hopefully) have a sibling!

Hi everyone! Do you mind if I join here? I'm 37, and am 4w+4 with my first ever pregnancy. We have been trying for 9 years, and were on our 3rd and final ivf attempt, we were not holding out much luck but wanted to be able to say at least we tried before we started looking into adoption!! I still cannot believe after all this time I am finally seeing positives on a test! I have an early scan on 21st at the ivf clinic to make sure it's a viable pregnancy before we move to normal maternity care. So far the only symptom I have is extreme tiredness, but I am on progesterone injections which can cause this anyway. I'm extremely nervous, and just hoping this is it!!!X

mooonbaby · 03/02/2022 21:53

@Ivfmummy2be wow, what a journey!! Massive, massive congratulations. I’m so happy for you. I’m 4+3 so we’re very close. I’m also a bit more tired, I’ve had some cramping and I’m so bloated it’s unbelievable x

AliAutumn · 03/02/2022 21:56

Congratulations @Ivfmummy2be! You must over the moon after such a long journey to get here!!

Can I join please? I'm also expecting an IVF baby. I have a 4 and 2 year old already. I'm trying to enjoy this bit before the horribleness of first trimester symptoms kick in properly. But really just waiting for that early scan to check everything is developing as it should.

BecLJ · 03/02/2022 22:00

Congratulations and welcome @ivfmummy2be and @AliAutumn!

Thank you so much, it has certainly been a roller coaster!! And congratulations to you all too. It will be nice to have others to talk to who are going through it at the same time!!
