Hi all,

I've just had my BFP and am due early October 2022, for my first baby I joined a group on here for people all due the same month so thought I'd start one this time round - early days I know but nice to speak to people in the same boat! 🙂

I'm 31 and have a DD who is 16 months.

Is anyone else due in October? How are you feeling?

Congratulations to you both.

scottishsunshine96 · 04/02/2022 06:51

Congratulations and welcome to every that is new!!

I’m feeling a lot more positive today after my brown spotting yesterday. Luckily it only seemed to last the morning and I’ve just got my 3+ on my CB digital this morning!! Fingers crossed all stays ok. I’ve got my early scan booked in for next weekend and it can’t come soon enough.

Leibee87 · 04/02/2022 07:36

Good to hear @scottishsunshine96.

I'm going to try cb tomorrow for my 3+. Wimped out today but I was up peeing at least 3 times last night so probably wouldn't have been good fmu anyway.

My boobs feel even bigger today haha. 13 days till my first scan. Starting to feel like it might be twins 😂

scottishsunshine96 · 04/02/2022 08:20

@Leibee87 I was going to wait to do mine tomorrow but in the end I couldn’t resist.

Oh my gosh mine too! They seem to have had another growth spurt in the night Shock

Trying81 · 04/02/2022 08:22

Congratulations!!

After saying I wouldn’t test again, I couldn’t resist getting a bargain one from co op

It’s moved to 3+ weeks now, so feeling a bit less anxious Smile

Ivfmummy2be · 04/02/2022 08:38

I mentioned that that was our last IVF attempt, well we decided to go all in, and had 2 embryos put in....so there's a good chance it could be twins!!! I have had very strong positives from straight away, and only 8 days after the transfer showed a 2-3 week reading on cb. I had a double mastectomy for breast cancer a few years ago, so no breast tissue or nipples to go off!! Just tired. Really, really tired!!! How is everyone feeling today? Much morning sickness yet?

Aubyone · 04/02/2022 08:48

Congrats and welcome new joiners!

I also did a CB today and got 2-3 weeks. I am not worried, as the only other one I took was exactly a week ago (at exactly 4w) which said 1-2 weeks, and I've had dye stealers on Frer so just hoping next Fridays final (I promise!) test will say 3+ weeks.

I have had like a couple of hours earlier in the week where I thought 'oh here we go the nausea is here' but think actually it was half in my mind as I was expectinf/worrying about feeling sick. Last few days I've felt absolutely fine sickness wise but getting really tired late afternoon and have had a nap every day. Feeling hugely grateful to a) not have any little ones to look after and b) to be self employed and mostly remote and completely in charge of my own schedule - and tbh I haven't got enough work financially but from a pregnancy point of view it's a godsend. My plan is to go easy in the first and 3rd trimester and try to ramp up clinets/earn as much as I can in 2nd trimester when apparently people tend to feel at their best. Although I might be applying for a PT employed job in a few weeks - don't think I'll get it but if I do, I'd likely only be working there 4 months before going on mat leave eek. But need to not feel any guilt over that if I do get it! Sorry I am rambling. There is just so much to consider.

I am exactly 5w today. Husband showed first real signs of emotion/amazement when I read out the development description from one of my many apps and showed up what it looks like - can't believe the heart is beating already!! I'm really liking the Pregnancy + app BTW if anyone hasn't tried that.

Going for dinner/overnight stay with 4 girl friends this weekend - I'm not planning to tell them, but I've been really open about our fertility struggles and they will no doubt ask how we're doing on that front, and if they directly ask I think I will say. Only concern is one of their partners knows pretty much everyone else in our life, and I don't know him well enough to know whether he's a gossip. Oh well.

Have a wonderful weekend mamas to be!

Leibee87 · 04/02/2022 08:49

I haven't actually been sick yet but lots of retching. My dh was laughing at me today 😂 not to be mean or anything though. Just cause I emptied the bin last night as felt sick in bed and as soon as I did that felt fine and went to sleep then this morning I grabbed the bin haha.

It's just my boobs, extreme tiredness and some pain on and off then the odd wave of sickness.

Winnie2022 · 04/02/2022 10:29

Hi Everyone,
I am due 4th October… had some cramping and belly has got a bloat. What symptoms has everyone else got? Doesn’t feel real and I am scared at the moment.

Darcy1990 · 04/02/2022 10:50

@Winnie2022 congratulations!!

My estimated due date is 6th of February. I feel very much the same way - no major symptoms or anything so it doesn’t feel real apart from missing AF. My sister said her nausea started around week 07 so I’m planning to cram in as much as I can until then Grin…

JoeMalon3y · 04/02/2022 11:43

Hi everyone!
Can I join this thread please I've been lurking around since I found out... I'm currently 4w+4d with #1...Is worrying so much a normal thing?! I felt some cramps this morning and started freaking out...had to remind myself it's probably normal! Also why am I seeing so much 😂 love to you all and good luck!

Winnie2022 · 04/02/2022 12:19

@JoeMalon3y
I had major cramping yesterday!! Was so panicked. Feel sore today but think it is normal?? Xx

natkasz · 04/02/2022 14:37

Sadly I started bleeding last night and have today been told by the EPU that I'm miscarrying so I'm out. Good luck to you all x

Betht96 · 04/02/2022 15:42

Hi everyone,
Due October 3rd with my second!
My first midwife appointment is the day after my 12 week scan, is that quite strange, do you think I should try and change it? Although I assume the gave me the first available one… xxx

Betht96 · 04/02/2022 15:43

So sorry to hear this, all the best to you xx

Ivfmummy2be · 04/02/2022 15:53

Been wanting to join this thread but don't know if it's too early ?
I'm 4+5 today. Been ttc now almost 7 years since our ds was born. Had to have clomid etc and most recently ivf. I had a mmc in November after a fet. By some miracle I've found myself naturally pregnant !!! Can't believe it.
Obviously I'm a little cautious but also have promised myself to embrace this, my body has let it happen ! I was petrified last time I was pregnant and didn't want to jinx things, but I still couldn't control the outcome so this time I've thought just enjoy the moment !
Congratulations to everyone 🥳
Also baby is due one day after my son was due... how weird is that !!

thunderonlyhappenswhenits · 04/02/2022 16:13

@natkasz Really sorry to hear this. Please take some time and look after yourself x

Samthenanny · 04/02/2022 16:30

@natkasz I’m sorry to hear that, take car of yourself x

@JoeMalon3y I’ve had cramping for the last 3 days, mild and painful but it comes and goes, from what I’ve read it’s normal.

I have a awful dry cough today

SunnySideUp2020 · 04/02/2022 16:46

@scottishsunshine96 @Leibee87 @Trying81

How far along are you? Or how many dpo if you have tracked? You got the 3+

Wondering when I can try the CB for 3+!

Sorry to hear @natkasz 😞

Leibee87 · 04/02/2022 16:48

I am 21dpo today 5+2. Going to do the CB tomorrow and see if I get 3+.

Trying81 · 04/02/2022 16:55

@SunnySideUp2020 I think I’m 27dpo and I’m 5+6 according to my flo app

I did a test on Monday which was still 2-3 so I’m wondering if I ovulated a day or so later than I thought - although I did test mid morning which may not have helped

So sorry to hear that @natkasz

BecLJ · 04/02/2022 18:49

@thunderonlyhappenswhenits congratulations!! I'm due a day before my daughter was due (although she ended up a week early) also due just before my birthday! My daughter was a week old on my 30th so it was a memorable one for different reasons than I imagined Grin

@SunnySideUp2020

Really unsure as my periods have always been quite irregular. From what I can gather though I’m around 5ish weeks. This is one of the main reasons I’ve booked in for an early scan next weekend to give me a better idea of due date!
