Hi all,

I've just had my BFP and am due early October 2022, for my first baby I joined a group on here for people all due the same month so thought I'd start one this time round - early days I know but nice to speak to people in the same boat! 🙂

I'm 31 and have a DD who is 16 months.

Is anyone else due in October? How are you feeling?

Just got my BFP yesterday after 15 months of trying, said to my partner last week that I'd had enough of trying as it just wasn't happening and that I wanted to go back on the pill - he said we should give it til August Grin

I have a 14 year old and 3 year old - I'm 34. Happy but nervous and a pessimist so trying not to get excited in case it doesn't work out!

Congratulations to everyone!

I had my bfp a week ago and it's still sinking in as I done IVF. I'm really anxious but so far everything is looking good. Yesterday my HCG was 254 and I was 4+2. My next check is tomorrow so I'm hoping it's doubled! I'll also get a scan in a couple of weeks at my clinic.

Aw that's great. I don't even know when I'll get seen. I'm so early will prob wait couple weeks to call Dr. Do you even get a booking in appointment with a second? I don't remember when we get appointments and covid has changed a lot anyway. I'll be happy to get to 12 week scan all be ok and can tell people ....
Im feeling fine apart from I dislocated my knee just over a week ago so hobbling and on crutches- hope all heals soon!

My best friend has exactly the same age of kids ... but she's a couple years older than you or I'd be calling her asking questions 😂

I feel the same I don't relax until 12 week scan

Hi all! Got my bfp about a week ago - my first one! So excited to find a chat with you all who are going through it all at the same time. Feel like this early bit is really going to drag - just want to get going with midwife appointments!

I'm Leicestershire @Samthenanny & @Aubyone and I went to the docs last Wednesday when I found out at 3w5d and they asked me to fill
In the 'pregnancy pack'
I dropped it back off on Thursday and got a phone call today with an appointment for the 22nd.
So definitely never too early to call if you're around this area!

I'm on the Wirral and have phoned my GP yesterday at 4+3. He was happy to take my details for me to be referred over.

I still haven't got many symptoms. I'm tired, have completely gone off food and can't sleep. Last time my boobs really hurt and I'm not used to having problems sleeping.

We've only had unprotected sex twice last month shortly before my appendix surgery and it was the first month we didn't use any contraception so I was positively surprised when I found out.

Out of interest, does anyone still test daily? I feel like my lines are not progressing as nicely as I would like them to but then I use cheap sticks so it may be why🤷‍♀️

Morning ladies, I fear that I am going to be leaving this group. Preg test from this morning is a lot fainter than one from yesterday. As I'm quite early still (but should be far enough to get a good pos result) I was fearing the possibility of a CP.

So sorry @syda. It might be your urine being more dilute? I had a couple of days where my lines were looking lighter but they’re looking darker now. Do you have any pics to share?

Is anyone else breastfeeding? My 17 month has really upped his feeding and it’s exhausting 😴 I’m not sure if he can tell something is different (could the pregnancy hormones be affecting my milk already?? I’m only 4+2), or whether he’s just teething or something. I’m so tired I feel asleep in the middle of working yesterday 🙈 luckily I was working from home

I've added a picture with tests from yesterday and one today. It was FMU too so would expect a better result anyways

@syda you can see that your urine was more concentrated in the 01/02 pic because of the background colour on the test. I wouldn’t say you’re out yet!! See if you can get a same brand test and test tomorrow morning, or the next morning. I’ll keep my fingers crossed for you

Crossing fingers for you @syda did you pee a lot in the night? Hopefully it will all be ok.

I freaked out this am as I did a cb digital and it still says 2-3 weeks but apparently it takes awhile for it to say 3+ and I'm 5 weeks today.

All the cramping has gone though, although my boobs still hurt and still getting a bit of nausea so hope all is well. Got a scan in 15 days and midwife in 20 days.

Regarding your BF question, I am still breastfeeding my little one (he is over 18 months) and recently he is also asking for a lot of boob in the day. Maybe they are going through a leap? He is really demanding right now in general.

@syda I’m glad I’m not alone with a boob hungry toddler 🙈 he’s currently asleep in my arms after not sleeping at all last night because he spend the whole night demanding boob. Luckily today is my day off.

@natkasz I don’t test daily I tested last Friday with a clear blue digital that said 2-3 weeks and I was 4 weeks, I tested this morning with a internet cheapie and the line came up straight away and was pretty dark.
I don’t know if I could test daily I think it’d worry me too much.
With the strips they can only go so dark can’t they, I wouldn’t worry too much about it.

I referred myself last and I’ve also booked a early scan for when I’ll be 7+2 but that’s 17 days away and feels forever!

@Leibee87 I was going to test on Friday when I’ll be 5 weeks to see if I get a 3+ on a clear blue, maybe I’ll leave it till the beginning of next week as I’ve read a lot of people saying it takes ages to come up

@syda I had the same worry last night after getting a much fainter line until DH convinced me I was being silly testing every day and it would only stress me out, which isn't good for the developing embryo. So I'm trying to forget I'm pregnant and might do just one last reassurance test when I'm 5+3 next week, if there's no other signs of CP before then.

Urine concentration varies a lot after all, even FMU!

@Yellowdott I think you have the right idea! It's so incredibly easy to fall into this trap of testing, pregnant or not 🙃. In light of this I did a FRER an hour ago which was a decent positive so I think what I also need to do is stop testing, try really hard not to obsess over it and see how things go. We have little to no control over this and that's really important to remember.

I’ve also fallen into the trap of over testing! I tested today at 5 + 4 and then analyzed it against the test at 5! How is everyone feeling? I’ve had sore boobs for a few days- but sometimes the soreness disappears completely, which makes me anxious until it comes back. I’ve also had a few hours in the last couple of days where I have felt quite nauseous and been retching. I had some mild cramping this morning, along with lower back pain for the last couple of days, which made me anxiously consult Dr Google but fingers crossed it should be OK

Yeah I pretty much stopped but wanted to get my 3+ on cb digital so I'll do one more at the weekend or next week.. Testing daily will drive you insane. Just try to trust the process? I know easier said than done because I'm freaking too but that is what I keep telling myself and each day there is no bleeding is another day closer to 12 weeks and then meeting baby.

Hi all - lovely to have so many of us in similar situations.

I'm 5+3 today and my nausea has really kicked in since yesterday. Not been sick yet but feel queasy if I don't eat regularly. Also sleeping for England. I've been asleep my 8.45pm the past two nights! Very sore and sensitive boobs as well.

I've got my first midwife appointment next Friday. They are concerned I might be further along than I think as my last period was practically non existent. I'm definitely not but they are treating me as if I'm 9 weeks tomorrow so they need to do the screening etc. and have also said I'll have a scan in the next few weeks as if I were nearly 12 weeks. Which isn't necessarily a bad thing as I was thinking about booking an early private scan to ease some anxiety. So just waiting for that to come through the post 😀

This is making me feel better! I'm also 5 weeks now and did a test today expecting it to say 3+ weeks but got 2-3 which worried me. Seems like it's fairly common though.

So lovely that so many people have joined the thread, looking forward to sharing this experience!

Aw ladies testing can be so stressful! I think I'm only about 3 weeks and tempted to test next week to see if I get a 3+
I think I'll wait a few weeks to call Dr. Didn't have good experience with midwife appointments last time so in no rush for them - just to get to 12 week scan x
