@jennixxx I think this could end up being PGP possibly - I also have a weird stomach tightness/pain which comes on randomly when walking or exercising and agonising lower back pain. Mine doesn't radiate down my legs/thigh but I know that's very typical of PGP. I got a physio referral and have 3-weekly physio sessions where she massages me to loosen up the muscles. I also have an elastic pregnancy belt to wear when walking, and have a series of exercises to do including child's pose, side-child's pose, cat/cow, and something called a cradle which is basically rocking gentle side to side in tabletop. I've also got a pregnancy pillow to keep my hips/legs in line when sleeping, and under my side to lift my bump too - pillows can be used instead to do this. All of these have helped but still some days it's just unavoidable. Definitely get your midwife to check you out just in case but if it is this it's nothing scary, just annoying and painful. Apparently it goes away after the baby is born!

Also she recommended to really work on pelvic floor exercises as this can apparently help. I have to do 10x 1 second pulses and 10x longer 10 second holds 3-5 times a day (or whenever I remember)

Hope this helps - at the very least you can implement some of these things quite easily while waiting to hear back and see if they make a difference! Good luck :)

@GrowBabyGrow I love Samson too, it's my DS1 middle name Smile@CurryandSnuggle Isaac would really fit the bill, it's just I knew a not so nice one. Thanks for you thoughts ladies! X

beansprout55 · 10/02/2022 19:54

@Prema112 things have improved a lot, thanks for asking! Re-building trust in a marriage isn't an easy task but I know we'll get there. Prayers would be appreciated if you don't mind xx

I'm in the exact same boat as you regarding names! We wanted something biblical, but coming from a Christian family I feel all the nicer ones have been covered, and like you've said, some are super common.
My 4 nephews are Elijah John, Caleb Daniel, Jacob Matthew and Jonah Zephaniah 😂😂 (I adore the name Caleb, option for you?)
I think we're going to go with Henry, DH loves that name, even though it's super common and not biblical - it just feels right!x
Hope you're ok and haven't had any more spotting etc? xx

beansprout55 · 10/02/2022 19:59

Oh @Prema112, Solomon is so so lovely, someone at church has a toddler named that but they call him Solly! Super cute x

rathernotshare · 10/02/2022 21:05

@PeeAche just catching up, I'm also a woman in engineering. Been at the company 7 years and never seen another pregnant woman (at this point started wondering if we were the same person). I've had a hard time with other peoples reactions to going to appointments, darent tell them about the antenatal classes I've got booked Blush

CurryandSnuggle · 10/02/2022 21:14

Omg, just had the most amazing experience!! Laying in bath when I see a lump on my belly, I was like wtf so I touched it, it was the babies limb of something description just sticking out. She then kicked and went back to same position. So I’ve just been stroking her through my belly. So weird but so amazing!! I’m in love 😍

Letsbekindplease · 10/02/2022 22:02

Hi. Lurker here but also due in June.

I am too loving the baby movements. Recently found out we’re having a girl and it just feels so special.

I already have a 2 year old and I’m wondering what I need to buy this time around. I can’t even think where to start. Been through old clothes and keeping what is gender neutral.

I have terrible pgp so for the ladies who have mentioned it, I bought a great support belt from Amazon. I can’t remember the name but it has the top ratings and it was 9.99. The nhs one I had the last pregnancy was terrible. Didn’t do a thing.

AlbatrossSociety · 10/02/2022 22:40

I love Samson but my husband said no!! Solomon is also a great name. We also have Caleb, Zachary and Luke on our list. Henry is also wonderful, I know a gorgeous baby Henry so that probably makes me a bit biased but think it's a lovely choice. We have absolutely zero biblical names for girls, which I think is interesting!

@CurryandSnuggle sounds amazing 😍 what a lovely little moment to have, I'm looking forwards to when I can feel more movements and also see them on the outside! I feel such a connection to baby when I feel them moving around.

Lostintranslatio · 10/02/2022 23:11

@MsBubbles85 We had same thing here: name had to work easy in both languages. We had a list names for girls but for boys was so difficult!

After a couple of days of not feeling much movement, I felt the first kicks today 😍😍😍😍

Prema112 · 10/02/2022 23:23

@beansprout55 Really good to hear things are better with your husband. Building trust takes a long time but so good to hear you've started on that journey. I'll definitely pray for you both.

That's funny I also really like Henry! But DH not so keen, he's not really keen on Solomon either which is a shame. I like Caleb too, not sure I love it though.

No more spotting for me, I wonder if I'll ever stop checking though, how about you? X

Prema112 · 10/02/2022 23:25

@CurryandSnuggle that's so fun!! It's such a weird feeling isn't it! I've just been to see Dune at the cinema and may have traumatised my baby, it was really loud and he was going mental for the entire 2.5 hours! Surely it must be fairly muffled in there but he was certainly reacting!

pregnancydiaries · 10/02/2022 23:34

Any medical professionals on here that can help with this rash we've just noticed? It doesn't go away at all under a glass so a little worried as we're all told to worry about that but no temperature so thinking it can't be anything bad?xx

jennixxx · 10/02/2022 23:40

@mrkb thanks so much!! eased my mind a little that im not the only one with similar pains lol, i have a feeling it could be PGP, will definitely bring it up to my midwife. I also have a pregnancy pillow and honestly dont know how i would sleep if i didnt have one at this point its a life saver 😅xx

jennixxx · 10/02/2022 23:43

Ive been feeling baby kick now at 22+3, have done for a week or 2 now but there just getring stronger and stronger, i have anterior placenta aswell so i really wasnt expecting it until atleast 23/24 weeks, so happy ive been able to see his kicks now aswell its an amazing feeling!!

hellointhere · 11/02/2022 06:00

Thank you for the congratulations! I wish I could get an ultrasound every day!

@Prema112 I think Solomon is a lovely name, I know someone called Solomon who is a lovely person which helps too. But I also kind of wish I didn't know them so I could have that name on my list.

@CurryandSnuggle that sounds amazing! I am spending a lot of time on the sofa in the evenings staring at my belly and trying to catch a sighting.

Lostintranslatio · 11/02/2022 06:27

@pregnancydiaries is that a reaction from the vaccine? I've heard it can happen but I would give a call to the mw just to check.

InvisibleDragon · 11/02/2022 07:09

Anyone else have a nocturnal baby?

Mine starts kicking around 4am - 7am, then barely a peep all day until 8pm ... I fear this does not bode well for sleeping after he's born!

fpeg · 11/02/2022 07:15

Hello @Letsbekindplease congratulations on your scan and little girl!

I'm loving all the names, we didn't really have any boy names sorted so was glad from that point of view that we are having a girl 😊

@CurryandSnuggle that is such an amazing experience!

@Prema112 I heard that they are indeed well muffled in there! So cool that they were responding to it all though!

@pregnancydiaries so many things that can cause rashes I would definitely get it checked out sooner rather than later, hope your ok 💚

fpeg · 11/02/2022 07:16

Aaaaarrrrrggggghhhh!!! You're not your! One of my biggest pet hates! Off to beat myself up now 😂

Starbeach · 11/02/2022 07:47

@InvisibleDragon yes same here! Night owl 😱 although she rolled over about 5 pm the other night kicked me in the bladder on the way so she made me projectile vomit all over myself and wet myself got to love pregnancy sickness especially HG 🙈😭

Starbeach · 11/02/2022 07:49

@fpeg isn’t it funny we had no names for a boy but quite a few for girls, it’s like we subconsciously know

unknownscot · 11/02/2022 08:26

I've woken to a red and sore throat. Done two lateral flow tests, both negative.

Google says it could be acid reflux whilst sleeping or because I'm mouth breathing.

Anyone got any tips? Had similar? X

GrowBabyGrow · 11/02/2022 09:03

I've been waking up with a sore throat recently as well @unknownscot and I think it is reflux while sleeping. Do you have any discomfort when you get up in the night? I find it is better when I take Rennies before bed

RoseValleyRambles · 11/02/2022 09:06

I'm definitely mouth breathing but results in v dry mouth not sore throat. Reflux sounds possible?
