@Piper89 just an idea, but maybe give a white lie and say you have a very bad uti so you’ve been told not to drink as it will cause dehydration and make it worse. That way you can have a tiny taste if you want to “appear normal”. No one judges a UTI as we all know how rotten they are.

5+6 today and symptoms are slowly coming in. Def feel like I have a hangover, low level nausea which is constantly in the background, headache and put off by all foods apart from pasta. 🤷🏽‍♀️
Been having some light spotting on and off like many here but not to worried. Will call the gp if it gets any worse.

annlee3817 · 15/01/2022 20:04

Anyone getting headaches/migraines, had blurred vision earlier for around half an hour and a bit of a headache, not a full on migraine, head just feels tender now, rarely get them, but have been getting some horrible headaches this week

Whatelsecouldibecalled · 15/01/2022 20:07

Very tentatively joining. BFP yesterday. After having ivf to conceive our DS I'm stunned to have fallen pregnant naturally. Just praying for a sticky bean!

Chlox16 · 15/01/2022 20:20

@Whoknew22 thank you! Smile
Yes should probs get a PCR just to be safe but the way I’m feeling I would have thought it would show up on later flow. X

notmyusualchoice · 15/01/2022 20:33

@annlee3817 yes! I’ve been had full on migraines this week leading to me being signed off from work. My vision goes funny and is followed by a blindingly headache. Once that’s gone, I can’t look at screens or lights for hours and hours. The only normal day I’ve had this week is Thursday - even today, without a migraine, I still had to take breaks from looking at screens for a bit because they were a bit much. Right now, I would trade all the other symptoms for having them!

calipoppy · 15/01/2022 20:44

@annlee3817 thankfully I haven't had migraines yet this pregnancy but I did with my DD. I ended up telling work at 8 weeks because I had to take so many days off to lie in the dark!
I eventually realised that sun was my trigger - even 30 mins in direct sunlight would give me a migraine for 24 hours! So it's worth seeing if there's a pattern for you.

Mine disappeared around 14 weeks along with my other symptoms so there's hope it won't last your whole pregnancy!

annlee3817 · 15/01/2022 20:57

I think mine are hormonal, but can't be too sure. Will see if I can find a pattern @calipoppy

@notmyusualchoice sorry you're suffering so badly with them

Peauela · 15/01/2022 21:20

Girls are you experiencing cramps?

Whoknew22 · 15/01/2022 21:21

@Chlox16 fingers crossed you haven’t got it. I felt very flu like. However very strange to not testing positive on lateral flows. I knew I had it as I was in close contact over Christmas and my partners lft was positive. Mine started showing as positive 3 days after my positive PCR. So weird.

Regardless if you have it or not, the temp thing, according to my GP was nothing to be concerned about so try not to worry

girafferafferaffe · 15/01/2022 21:40

@Peauela

Girls are you experiencing cramps?
Yeah I am especially today. I'm 6+2 today
BlueSky57 · 15/01/2022 22:03

I went to my GP to fill in my paperwork on Thursday (there was absolutely no privacy, it’s a small village & there was a man breathing on my neck he was so close Angry). The midwife then called me today to take all my details and medical info so I was pleased with how quick they did that!

I am 5+4 & still experiencing cramps, although probably less than yesterday. They feel like period pains but no spotting so I’m guessing it’s still normal right now.

The cramps & full feeling lower stomach are still my only real symptoms though. I’m not particularly tired & am eating as normal.

TotoAnnihiliation · 15/01/2022 23:16

I've had a really mixed day of symptoms, I walked into the room where the cat litter tray was and neatly threw up everywhere. My husband had to act quickly to deal with that. Now I'm in bed feeling a bit symptomless, I feel like boobs have deflated. I know it's normal but it doesn't stop me from panicking!

Whatelsecouldibecalled · 15/01/2022 23:26

Is anyone else spotting? Very light pink brown ish? Cramping too. I only got a BFP yesterday Sad

PuffyCupcake · 16/01/2022 05:51

@Whatelsecouldibecalled - not had any spotting yet but definitely some cramping of both short/sharp and dull/achey varieties for a number of days (I’m at 6+1). I’ve read early spotting and cramping are usual particularly during implantation, and cramping as the body is preparing to expand.

Has anyone noticed a change in their body odour? Sorry for strange question. I’m using anti-perspirant (Sanex) which has started to prove ineffective. Does anyone have any recommendations for natural deodorant that I don’t have to reapply every 30 mins?!

Whoknew22 · 16/01/2022 06:22

@PuffyCupcake I really noticed a change when I was breastfeeding last time but don’t think I’ve noticed a difference yet.

I’ve been using the natural brand wild, it’s a reusable case and you refill the deodorant bit. Been using it for a while now and really like it.

PumpkinsMum18 · 16/01/2022 08:00

@PuffyCupcake I use sanex deodorant aswell and agree it doesn’t seem to be working anymore! Might look into natural/reusable options too.

I stopped breastfeeding my DD in September and I think my milk is already coming back! My breaths started leaking really early in my first pregnancy (around 20 weeks) so looks like I’m headed that way again….

annlee3817 · 16/01/2022 08:05

I use the triple dry antiperspirant from Boots, it's expensive, generally grab when on offer, but works really well. Haven't tried any natural deoderants, probably should, but this one is good

becky239 · 16/01/2022 09:19

Good morning ladies it's lovely to see such a busy thread already! I'm currently 6+3 and starting to feel nauseous, I think it's due to hunger so as long as I keep eating throughout the day it seems to be keeping it at bay! I will post a new link to the September Due date babies Facebook group for anyone else that would like to join

LizzeyBenett · 16/01/2022 09:37

Hi all just an update I went to the hospital yesterday , there was a 6 hour wait to be seen (Irish health care for you) so I left as I will be seeing my Gp on Thursday and the nurse told me to ask her to refer me to the early pregnancy unit for a scan, they said if I waited they might need to give me an appointment to come back anyway for an internal scan , so hopefully I'm completely overreacting as it's my 1st pregnancy .

BlueSky57 · 16/01/2022 09:41

Good morning everyone!

I walked for an hour again yesterday & it really helped me settle last night but this morning my legs are aching. It’s not painful, just uncomfortable & feels like restless legs.

Is there anyone else who is also not really needing to pee much? I probably need to drink more in all honesty but I thought I’d need to use the toilet a lot more than usual. Maybe it’s too early (5+5 for me)

annlee3817 · 16/01/2022 09:53

@BlueSky57 drink more in the day and just not so much in the evening to help with restless legs.

@LizzeyBenett sorry you didn't get seen, but hope all is ok after you see the doc

BlueSky57 · 16/01/2022 10:12

@LizzeyBenett hoping all will be well for you! It’s such a scary time. I am also pregnant with first baby & I am anxious about everything.

@annlee3817 I will definitely try to do that today. I am normally a person who needs to drink a lot but have been limiting myself I guess incase I’ll need the toilet constantly. Thank you.

MrsFLongbottom · 16/01/2022 10:50

@PuffyCupcake I use Wild deodorant- I've found some days it's not working as well as normal but on the whole it's pretty good x
