Thanks!! My first is nearly 2

(I thought I'd replied so apologies either for delay or if you have 2 replies)

Anyone else's emotions wild at the moment? My husband has cleaned the house this morning while I've laid in bed feeling like a slug, and I cried as I watched him refill the soap in our bathroom 😂🙈

annlee3817 · 15/01/2022 10:50

@RedIvy18 yep, I read that you produce more in the first trimester to prevent infections as your cervix and everything softens

Welcome to all the new BFPs

Yes! Keep seeing things on tv and Instagram that make me cry! My mum is here and we were watching encanto and I am trying not to cry in front of her!! Haha
Mags146 · 15/01/2022 11:27

@bnttowers Thank you, I think i am a bit overwhelmed atm
So odd to have something insed growing. The secret is killing me hahahaha i agreed with my partner we will tell our parents after first scan so few more weeks of wait for me...

TiredMum01 · 15/01/2022 11:40

Congratulations on everyone getting their BFP.

After my two losses and feeling 0 symptoms this time I’m wanting to book a scan for the next few days. Anxiety getting the better of me. I’m 6 weeks today and with my last two my symptoms started straight away.

I did a self referral to the midwife team straight away and they contacted me within a couple of days. So you could contact midwife team or GP straight away.

Beck3115 · 15/01/2022 12:29

The only people who know are me and my partner, my two bosses and then the two bosses above them. Everyone at work thinks I’m pregnant because I’m not in uniform but I’m still denying it saying it’s migraines. I’m not ready to tell anyone, but think it will be after my reassurance scan next week that we will tell our parents.

I’m most desperate to tell my son! But he will tell his dad who tell everyone our news 😞

RedIvy18 · 15/01/2022 13:40

@Sassy144 emotion-wise I thought I was holding it together pretty well until I almost shed a tear while entering Mamas and Papas earlier 🤣. We were buying a gift today but I can't wait to start getting the little outfits etc for ours. Not going to do that until after the 12 week scan though I don't think xx

My emotions are all over currently! I cried because my cats refused their worming tablet. I then cried on my walk today because I pictured the moments all of my previous children were born and it made me emotional. Feel like a time bomb 🤣

I have no symptoms and have had previous losses so I totally understand your worry! Deffo try and wait for week 7 for a scan as you will see more and heartbeat of which would reassure you more :).
MOLWI · 15/01/2022 14:17

I'm 6+2 today and my nausea has officially began 🥴🥴

Littlebun1 · 15/01/2022 14:18

I wish I was crying! Instead I'm getting serious rage over the smallest things!! Anyone else getting that? I'm normally so laid back! 😂

LizzeyBenett · 15/01/2022 14:29

Woke up to spotting this morning rang the hospital and they recommended I go in , I'm absolutely terrified I stayed over in my parents last night so nobody knows and going in on my own. This is not how I expected my first pregnancy to go please good all is ok Sad

annlee3817 · 15/01/2022 14:43

@LizzeyBenett everything crossed for you

MrsFLongbottom · 15/01/2022 14:46

@Meganrobyn I often feel like crying at the thought of having to give my cats a tablet- they're a nightmare! BUT if you can use the opportunity of being pregnant to delegate the little tray duties to someone else. It's not a high risk and I think it's fine to do it but I told my OH that I couldn't when I was pregnant/breastfeeding because of the risk of toxoplasmosis and I advent had to do it since (3yrs). Pregnancy can be tough so good to find the perks!

MrsFLongbottom · 15/01/2022 14:47

@LizzeyBenett fingers crossed for you that all is fine today XXX
I had to go in on own last summer and it was scary but the doctors and nurses were all lovely

TotoAnnihiliation · 15/01/2022 15:38

Thinking of you today @LizzeyBenett

surprised12 · 15/01/2022 16:00

Just realised there was a new thread!!

Thought the old one was quiet!

MedbN · 15/01/2022 16:05

@girafferafferaffe I decided to watch encanto for a second time this morning, first time was before BFP, while OH was out. He came back right before the end and was like "why are you crying, you've seen it before and didn't cry, oh god is this the hormones!" 😂

Belle2210 · 15/01/2022 17:40

@Littlebun1 Yip I'm right there with you on the rage front 🙈

Chlox16 · 15/01/2022 18:11

Hi ladies,

Has anyone on here had the flu or flu like symptoms during early pregnancy before? I’m only 6wks 2days so a little worried.

Last night getting home from work I suddenly went absolutely freezing and shivering none stop then went all hot and sweaty. Plus had such an achy body all night and day with a horrible cough. Obviously done loads of lateral flows so it’s not covid just wondering if anyones experienced anything similar?

Been taking paracetamol and lots of liquids but I seem to feel much worse at night Sad x

Hopingforarainbow27 · 15/01/2022 18:22

@Chlox16 I'm only 4 weeks and 3 days and my nose is running constantly and I've a tickly cough and not sleeping well! ☹️

To be fair it is the best film 😁 but yes omg it sends me!!

Chlox16 · 15/01/2022 18:29

@Hopingforarainbow27 maybe you’ve got a similar thing Sad
I’ve never felt so rough in my life!! Defo won’t be going to work on Monday if I feel like this
Hope you feel better soon x

Whoknew22 · 15/01/2022 19:19

@Chlox16 this is exactly how I felt with covid and all my lateral flows were negative. Is it maybe worth a PCR? I was 4 and a bit weeks pregnant. Felt the same, was worried and phoned the doc but they said it would be ok. Hope you feel better soon.
