Hi everyone!

Looks like I'm joining this thread! This will be my first and my estimated due date is Sept 25th!

So far I have a good bit of cramping, stomach area feels heavy all the time, a bit gasey, and feeling nauseous on and off. Also my sleep is all out of whack!

Overall just very nervous. Still getting used to the idea of actually being pregnant / having a child. So I'm hoping this thread can help me come round to the realization of it all. It's so daunting!

FirstTimeMummy2022 · 24/01/2022 14:38

@Sassy144 so sorry to hear this, sending lots of love ❤️

DM1720 · 24/01/2022 14:47

@Shabz22 @billymay I’m also due 28th Sept. have you booked early scans? I’ve booked mine for 7th Feb in the hope there’ll be a heartbeat by then. So nervous as I miscarried my last pregnancy. It was a missed mc. I’d love to go in sooner but there’s probably no point. Have you guys much symptoms? I don’t have an awful lot going on, very tired (but I’m always tired coz I’ve a 2 and 4 year old!!) and my boobs a bit heavy in the evenings… nothing major yet really. Just wondering if ye have much going on, as yer at same stage as me!

Glitterygreen · 24/01/2022 15:14

@Cluelessbeetroot

Hope everyone is doing well. I am 5+5 today (first pregnancy, due 22 Sep) and started spotting last night after waking up in the middle of the night with terrible cramps, after a very upset stomach yesterday afternoon. Is spotting normal around this time? google is conflicting as per usual. Paranoid about ectopic now, on top of the "normal" pregnancy paranoia.
God this was me too....sooo paranoid about ectopics.

If it's any consolation, I had some spotting last week, just as I turned 6 weeks, and have had an early scan today and all is well :) (Up until this was convinced it would be ectopic, of course).

I did call GP and get referred to EPU when spotting first started as I had an early MC in November so that was my first thought, but it wasn't the case and I even saw the heartbeat today. So worth reporting if you're worried :)

Glitterygreen · 24/01/2022 15:17

@PrettyTulip I had a proper lower back ache all day last Wednesday and then woke up to spotting the next morning. Stressed all weekend but scan today showed it was fine still.

The nurse today told me for any further spotting contact EPU (or midwife I guess if you already have one, which I didn't) for a scan. But seems like it can be normal for some.

Hi girls,

6+2 here today going off the date of LMP, we weren't actively trying for this baby so I can't confirm ovulation dates!

Been lurking for a week or so but hesitant to post as it's easy to feel like you are jinxing yourself by becoming excited, does anyone else feel that?

background - I have one DD, she is 11 years old so a big age gap for this little jellybean and his/her big sister. As pointed out above, although very much a shock as we were not actively trying (changed the pill and think somehow must've been caught) this little one is very much wanted.
I had 3 rounds of failed IVF with my ex husband due to low sperm count and mobility so completely ruled myself out of ever having another child.

Symptoms - sore boobaloobs, constant nausea the last 3 days, heightened sense of smell and did have cramping for a week or so but that has tailed off.

Had a bit of a worry last night... DTD with my partner (TMI maybe too vigarously) and had some spotting a few hours later. Must've gone to the toilet and tried to push out a wee 10 times to see if there was any more blood on wiping but fortunately nothing has appeared since!

My question is... anyone else spotted in early pregnancy or pregnancy in general after DTD, is this normal due to cervix swelling etc?

Pol29 · 24/01/2022 15:35

@Shabz22 I'm also due on the 28th!.but I was late 8 days with ma DD....

tiktokontheclock · 24/01/2022 16:38

Hi all, I think I'm around 6 weeks. No booking in appt yet. Boobs hurt, bit of cramping, but no real other symptoms really. Already have a four year old. I'm scared but also know my DD is going to love having a sibling (always asks for one!). I've just asked to join the FB group too.

madeleine85 · 24/01/2022 16:44

welcome all the new joiners! Exciting times :)

@Tinadecember spotting after sex is very very normal, your doctor wouldn't bat an eye at that. Don't worry about that one at all!

MOLWI · 24/01/2022 16:49

Is anyone else feeling really achey?

My legs feel like I've ran a marathon for the last couple of days and I can't think why else it would be other than being pregnant? But feels so soon lol

PrettyTulip · 24/01/2022 16:54

@Glitterygreen thanks for replying sweet.
I think naturally I'm just worried about every little thing cos of my MC at 7w last year.

I've rang the doctors to see if they can check for a UTI as I know that can cause similar symptoms to what I'm currently having.

PrettyTulip · 24/01/2022 16:54

@Glitterygreen ps glad your scan went well 😊

PrettyTulip · 24/01/2022 16:55

@MOLWI yes! Half of the time in bed one of my legs in particular feels like it needs to cut off it aches so bad! 😂

Mags146 · 24/01/2022 16:56

Ah so here we go again... I'm freaking out. I'm 5w5d and noticed some cramps and back ache, I am a bit concerned now. Not sure how this goes with UTI... Sad

I've had a bit of cramping and back ache but I've read it 'normal' in early pregnancy?

Mags146 · 24/01/2022 17:37

I hope so, I had some of the sharp pain as well but I am blaming UTI for that. On a good note my boobs are more sore, so maybe my symptoms are just developing and cramps with backache are joining the team....

hayleynk27 · 24/01/2022 17:38

At around 4-6 weeks I did kept noticing cramps, like very light period cramps. I'm now 8 weeks and haven't seemed to have them anymore. All normal as far as I'm aware Smile

Just headaches, nausea and such a stuffed up nose!

girafferafferaffe · 24/01/2022 18:03

I told my boss today and she was wonderful. I was so anxious about telling her because I’d just had a Payrise and she said ‘don’t be silly, you should have been getting paid that in the first place! It’s for the work you do now and will do for the next year!’ So I feel sooooo much better now. Hopefully I’ll be able to sleep now!

madeleine85 · 24/01/2022 18:07

@girafferafferaffe yessssss that is so great ❤️❤️❤️

I stood outside her room sort of clasping hands and pacing haha. I said to her that I couldn't believe I was saying these words and she said 'pregnant?!?' And I was like yup. She was really pleased !

BntTowers · 24/01/2022 18:17

@chocoholic88 can you say you're on antibiotics so can't drink, and it's making you feel a bit off so avoid the spa?

I've been feeling rotten recently because I've found I've been getting really frustrated very easily with my little girl. I have to just keep rinding myself she's only a toddler doing toddler things and it's just the hormones going wild.

EverydayIsPJday · 24/01/2022 18:19

Hello all, I'm also jumping in if that's ok. I'm 4+4 today, baby number 3 due 29th September. Feeling abit anxious now, I have no symptoms whatsoever which is unlike my previous pregnancies. I had a MMC and chemical last year..not sure what to think ATM to be honest, might do a clear blue weeks test this week...

Best of luck to everyone 😘

Whatelsecouldibecalled · 24/01/2022 18:37

@BntTowers my toddler also doing rather annoying toddler related drama things today!!

@EverydayIsPJday I also have no symptoms really. 5+2
