We pretty much saved everything from DD, 4 years of stuffed stored in the loft. DH is throughly excited to empty it out!

Not sure my maternity stuff from last time will fit though as I was about 1.5 stone lighter before last pregnancy haha

annlee3817 · 23/01/2022 20:13

I'm also starting from scratch, haven't got anything from DD other than blankets, although thankfully gave our cot bed to my best friend who has it in her garage, so having it back and she's giving us her car seats. We were so adamant that we were only having one, wish I'd kept our out n about nipper. Everything else I gave away

Posted this in the fb group then it showed up in my news feed so freaked out and deleted it. Not sure if it def was posted in the fb group or my personal page and it just said shared a link! Bloody hope not 😅.

Anyways wanted to reshare here. 6+3 today and I Was noticing how much my body shape has changed.... Well widened over the past week especially. Went to Google and apparently its not all getting fat (was puzzled because I wouldn't say I've been eating loads) it's the body shape changing for carrying a baby with a new centre of gravity. Wider ribs, waist and hips. Also fat stores are usually extra in the thigh area for future BF.... My usual pear shape has gone all wonky and yes I am feeling like a blob with the baby body prep. All be worth it though 🤞.

Not only do I still have pooch from last time but a post C-section overhang. I'm not looking forward to ultrasounds either!

MrsLoz · 23/01/2022 20:49

@110APiccadilly same here on the C-section overhang, no amount of exercise or diet has gotten rid of that. Or just mum tum in general.

I’m very active doing various classes and running, track my calories etc but still overweight so know full well midwife’s will hate that. Can never seem to shift the weight no matter what I’ve tried!

Pol29 · 23/01/2022 21:05

Hi girls! I'm 4+4 and seeing my doc in two weeks...don't know how I'll survive ;-) is there a FB group to join? need to keep my mind occupied...

Thank you, thank you, thank you! I was just wailing on the phone to my sister that my legs have expanded! I bought a pair of trousers in the next size up because with the bloating things have been getting snug. And that is just in my very forgiving leggings.

I bought a new pair of trousers to wear back to work tomorrow in the next size up and I just about got them over my thighs!

girafferafferaffe · 23/01/2022 21:36

I've still got stretch marks all over my legs from last time. Honestly I am covered in them! Hoping it won't get much worse this time!

annlee3817 · 23/01/2022 21:57

Thanks for sharing that article @Belle2210
I did actually get diastasis recti in my first pregnancy, wish I'd know then that it was better to roll onto your side to get up out of bed than sit straight up from your back, only got it down to 1cm, no success on closing it. Aim this time is to not make it worse.

It is nuts what our bodies go through though, remember watching this video and being 😱

Belle2210 · 23/01/2022 22:04

You're welcome ladies! I didn't expect things to change like that either so soon. Definitely do not need more thigh weight 😫. I'll be the same shortly not being able to get jeans past my thighs never mind around my stomach.

That video is insane 😬.

Hi everyone, hoping to jump on! Found out I was pregnant last week - due around 15/9!

Isonthecase · 23/01/2022 22:43

Ohhh yes, the mum tum/jelly belly is such a pain isn't it? I'd finally got to the point where I only had a few pounds to go and my stomach looked ok and now back to pregnancy and probably another 3stone+ weight gain to lose AGAIN. They're worth it though ☺️

PuffyCupcake · 23/01/2022 23:23

@Whoknew22 @PumpkinsMum18 @MrsFLongbottom - thank you lovely ladies for your responses/recommendations, and sorry for the delayed response whilst I’ve been testing your recommendations! I ended up testing about 6, and the one that worked best for me was the ‘Salt of The Earth’ spray version of their deodorant which comes in various scents. It didn’t irritate; leave white marks or that horrid residue after showering. Holland & Barrett are also doing a BOGOF if you’re interested in trying too! Xxx

This is my hubby too! My DD will be 4 next month and everything has been stored in the loft, he can't wait to empty it out once and for all 😂
Peauela · 24/01/2022 08:35

OMG I got my prenatal vitamins last week and started taking them... today I realized there's two different tablets to be taken every day... I was only taking one and missing the folic acid one 😭 I'm so stupid. Do you think it's still ok? I've been taking folic for months

blessedandstressed · 24/01/2022 09:11

Hi All - congratulations to everyone!! :)

First time posting but been lurking for a while! I think I am about 5+4, feeling supeeer nervous as my baby is only just turning 1 so there will be 20 months between them - does anyone else have a small age gap?

Planned and super excited but also a bit terrified. 2nd time mums any advice would be greatly appreciated. I feel like I have already forgotten everything!

holdonbaby · 24/01/2022 09:17

@Peauela I'm sure it's ok if your body was well stocked up.

I have just joined the fab group, thank you.

Rebeccalin · 24/01/2022 10:26

I will join the facebook group when I'm 12 weeks. Just in case anyone I know is on there! my community a big gossips!

I am 5+2 with number 2. My baby is 16 months!
I am feeling so much more tired than the last pregnancy! I'm exhausted!
No sickness though which I'm thankful for so far! Last time I needed medication to control the sickness!

calipoppy · 24/01/2022 10:26

@blessedandstressed welcome! My daughter is 13 months so we will have a similar age gap! It's exciting but so hard to imagine looking after 2 isn't it?! I keep thinking 9 months ago she was so different so in another 9 months she'll be much more independent 🤞

cardiffgal22 · 24/01/2022 10:31

@madeleine85 Thank you & I'm glad it's not just me that this has happened to! I also thought I would have it removed earlier to help with weight loss lol, I will be around 14 weeks on our wedding day but hoping I won't be showing tooooo much as we are hoping to announce it then Smile It's just about sunk in now but has been a lot to take in, we are both very happy but obviously it's early days :)

cardiffgal22 · 24/01/2022 10:34

Hope everyone had a lovely weekend Smile I called the doctors this morning to ask for an appointment to confirm the pregnancy and was told that they don't do this anymore and that I should just register with the midwife, they just rely on home pregnancy tests! Is this standard practice everywhere?

My GP is the same. The midwife does tests in the booking in appointment
nadia1957 · 24/01/2022 10:52

@blessedandstressed there is 15 months between my first two, DS was 6 months old when I found out I was pregnant with DD! Will have a much bigger gap now, they are 7 and 6 so will hopefully be good little helpers!
