@MyloC

Hi everyone I've been so quiet on here just because I don't have a whole lot to say at the moment. I'm 6 weeks and time has practically stopped. I thought I'd check in though as I see a lot of people are worrying about progress on digital s. I had this exact thing this week. I tested 5 + 4 and got 2-3 and went into major panic. Googling everything and it's actually really common everyone HCG levels rise differently. I then couldn't help myself and tested again on 5 + 6 and got 3+ weeks. Hope this eases some anxiety and if testing on a digital I would definitely wait until closer to 6 weeks for a more accurate result.
I've been the same.. haven't said much as. Just a bit too anxious.. 6+ 4 today and time is not moving at all.. I have a private scan booked for 29th Jan.. just hoping and praying we see what we want to see... 🤞🥺 So nervous I could cry! I've had a bit of pain on my right side so naturally worried now about ectopic... hoping this next week doesn't drag too much..
Mags146 · 23/01/2022 12:19

@annle3817 thank you so much, I will hold off until Wednesday or Thursday with retesting. Anyway, by then I will have results of hcg blood tests.
Didn't have dye stealer so far, but the lines are equally dark so I take it as a good sign.

TotoAnnihiliation · 23/01/2022 12:32

I've booked a scan for this Friday evening when I should be 6+2. It feels a million years away.

Belle2210 · 23/01/2022 12:35

I'm sure the clear blue test go by weeks since conception not weeks since period. 5 weeks pregnant would be 2-3 weeks. HCG also varies through the day depending on fluids etc. Alot of the time they won't help the anxiety.

Sassy144 · 23/01/2022 12:37

Just checking in here too, I've been quiet as I've been spotting for a week and cramping, though it's eased the last few days. I go between thinking it's all over to feeling hopeful again. Time is crawling. I have a scan on 30th when I'll be 6+3 so hopefully will get some clarity then.

Billymay · 23/01/2022 12:44

I’ve never heard of a due stealer before? Is this something to watch out for? Xx

Billymay · 23/01/2022 12:44

*dye

Flibbyjibby · 23/01/2022 12:46

Anybody else’s other half not really understand the struggles of dealing with nausea in early pregnancy?

I had hyperemesis last time so he should know, but I’ve been feeling sick all morning so what does he do? Fry bacon.

Now the whole house stinks of horrible fried meat 🤢🤢

Shabz22 · 23/01/2022 12:47

I have digis coming today, planning on doing one tomorrow morning (4+5/19dpo) then another one probably a week later as I'm not expecting 3+ weeks yet.

Boobs are occasionally feeling a little achey when touched or squeezed so I'm hoping that's positive. Also some days I'm getting SO much discharge, the other day I convinced myself I was bleeding and put off checking it. Anyone else have the same?

Time is going so slow, we only found out a week ago but it feels like I've known forever, and I'm trying to keep the longest kept secret 😂. It's too early to book a scan or speak to the midwife yet so maybe that's not helping either, I'm just sitting on this huge exciting news!

Mags146 · 23/01/2022 12:58

@Belle2210 you are correct 5 weeks is 3 weeks after conception, in my case its 5w4d and I belive I'm around 20 days after conception... I guess iw as just to eager to test hoping I will see 3+
I do not have any symptoms apart from nausea, loss of appetite but also feeling hungry at the same time. And tiredness...

annlee3817 · 23/01/2022 13:09

@Billymay not really, think it depends on the test, I only came across it in this pregnancy, when I was obsessively testing, when the positive line is stronger than the control line

I also have so much discharge. I'm paranoid that I smell due to the amount being produced!

The only food I can bear eating at the moment is chicken! I'm not normally a big meat eater either 🙈

girafferafferaffe · 23/01/2022 15:15

Welllll I'm massive already. I'm covered in spots (I NEVER have spots) and I feel hugely oily/greasy. I'm so tired I'm struggling to exercise as much as I was.

I mean I'm not the most attractive person in the first place so I am now rock bottom haha. Where is my fecking glow 😩

Billymay · 23/01/2022 15:40

Thank you @annlee3817 I’ve used a strip every day the past week and the dyes run on a few but my test is getting stronger. I’ve got 3 left so will leave testing for a bit
Abs hopefully get my 3+ on my clear blue in a week. Xx

Billymay · 23/01/2022 15:43

@annlee3817 although todays one might of been a dye stealer as it wasn’t my first wee of the day more of a afternoon I’ll see if I can squeeze one out type 😂

@girafferafferaffe do you have other children? This is my 2nd, I’m 8-9 weeks and have a definite bump. I’m a uk size 10 so not big but the bump is already. Similarly I have greasy skin this time. Unless I’m very careful with it I have spots, but usually it’s great. Thoroughly blaming this on it being a boy 😂.

@Flibbyjibby my husband has forgotten the hg of last time and is like well I’m so tired from looking after our child while you nap an hour a day... last time I couldn’t walk 100ft/was doubled over a toilet at all times. We had a talk last night it’s been so bad, but I don’t think we covered half of it. I work from home so typically do all the cleaning as it bothers me, but I’m exhausted and just don’t have it in me. He still hasn’t noticed!

@cardiffgal22 congrats!! With my first I knew we were getting engaged so I came off my pill to lose a few lbs pre wedding/thought it would take years for my body to normalise for having children. I found out I was pregnant 48 hours after the engagement and she came on our original wedding date 🤦‍♀️. We fortunately had eloped a few months earlier for a stress free wedding with some not so pregnant photos. Hope you’re adjusting to your news, it is a lot to deal with isn’t it?!

girafferafferaffe · 23/01/2022 16:24

Yup I have a 4 year old. I don't think I can blame the baby entirely. I am eating too much (because it stops me feeling rough) but also I never got rid of my pooch from last time despite a huge amount of effort. I keep having cringe moments where I imagine getting my pooch out to have an ultrasound and apologising to the ultrasound tech because it is so repulsive haha.

surprised12 · 23/01/2022 16:30

Had my scan today! All is perfect so can breathe out until my 12 week scan.
9w +2days today - so it's looking more likely to be an August baby unless it's late (I'm late for EVERYTHING so it has a fair chance)

annlee3817 · 23/01/2022 16:46

Glad it went well @surprised12 I'll be August as they don't let me go overdue in my trust when you're 40 and like to induce at 39 weeks, but will stick in the due date group :)

madeleine85 · 23/01/2022 17:12

@girafferafferaffe the pooch never really disappears. I’ve had exactly the same thought re. Ultrasounds so at least you’re not alone 😂.

@surprised12 congratulations! Love a nice scan update, and less time till you meet your little one. My dr dates me as due august 30, but I think will be pushed back to early September based on ovulation date. My DD was 6 weeks early though so who the hell knows. Due dates are such a hit or miss anyway!

girafferafferaffe · 23/01/2022 17:40

It's just annoying. Not just a flap of skin, like actual fat I can't get rid of! After this one as it's my last I will genuinely sort my life out and get to a good weight instead of this ridiculous one! Trying to be kind to myself but I'm only 7 weeks and feel like my clothes are tight already 😩 I was never one of these people who were naturally slim and have to fight and starve to get anywhere near what bmi says I should be.

Glastomummy · 23/01/2022 17:45

@Peauela haha not just me then 🤪 just remember the chance of you having an ectopic is waaaaay lower than everything being fine and dandy. The same for a MC. I know it's easier said then done but my husband said this to me earlier and I was like oh yeah!! 🤣 x

calipoppy · 23/01/2022 18:40

@girafferafferaffe if it makes you feel better today I decided to just go for it and wear my maternity jeans 😂 I feel like I'm already the size that I was at like 4 months last time! But in a way I would rather look pregnant sooner than the awful bloated fat feeling I had for months first time round... trying to see the positives haha!

girafferafferaffe · 23/01/2022 18:58

@calipoppy because my dd is 4 and I didn't think I'd have any more I don't have any maternity clothes anymore! I was hoping to just live in normal stuff for as long as I can. I don't have the money for a whole wardrobe - I lived in cast offs and hand me downs last time that were all too big for me and I lost all confidence. I'm just going to have to try and live with it really haha
