@Hopingforarainbow27 I have my fingers crossed for you! When is your scan?

Hopingforarainbow27 · 18/01/2022 12:15

@monkeyjocks 26th! So anxious!

Belle2210 · 18/01/2022 12:21

@TotoAnnihiliation

I keep getting so out of breath! Why does this happen?
Think it's something to do with Progesterone if I remember right.
Belle2210 · 18/01/2022 12:23
@Belle2210 starving on some days, but others just trying to eat through the nausea
😂 😂 Yeah after I posted that, went to kitchen and what I fancied 20 mins before I no longer could stomach. Thankfully just waves of it.

Dreamer30 · 18/01/2022 14:46

Hey ladies, hope it's okay to join 😁 currently 5w+2d after a MC in May and a PUL in June.
Had pain in what I think is my right ovary for a week but they can't see anything, not even a cyst and aren't worried as my pregnancyis in the right place this time.
I had a scan today and seen the gestational sack and the wee yolk sack so I'm happy 😊 early days but I hope this our sticky wee rainbow baby 🌈👶✨️
Symptoms are sore nipples, slight nausea but it comes and goes, tired and my sense of smell is amazing, although coffee 🤢 lol

Dreamer30 · 18/01/2022 14:48

Sorry should have said - EDD 18th September 🥰

Adda20 · 18/01/2022 16:22

@Hopingforarainbow27 ahh good to know it’s not just me with the sneezing!!! So many random symptoms you can get.

@TotoAnnihiliation same with me getting out of breath, interesting if it is linked to progesterone @Belle2210

TotoAnnihiliation · 18/01/2022 16:43

Just wept over an advert for Battersea Dogs Home. Hormones!

madeleine85 · 18/01/2022 17:12

@TotoAnnihiliation I cried at a child's book about a lost dog this morning (aimed at toddlers). This is much more emotional than pregnancy #1 lol.

@madeleine85 I forgot how much pregnancy effects everything! How many DC do you have? I have a 4 year old DD.

MSH95 · 18/01/2022 17:20

Hello! I am new here and just wanted some advice! I was diagnosed with PCOS in early December and then missed my period and got a positive pregnancy test only a week after my PCOS scan! So as my cycle was slightly irregular I'm finding it difficult to date my pregnancy! The clearblue test showed 2-3 weeks on 15th December. I had an early private scan on 3rd Jan (external scan only) and they could see my uterus but nothing else so they assumed I was only 4/5 weeks and have rebooked me in. I was due to have my booking appointment with the midwife today but due to my internal PCOS scan not showing pregnancy a week before my positive test it has been cancelled and rearranged. I am just full of anxiety not having any official confirmation of this pregnancy. I’ve done over 10 home tests and even now they are as strong as they were when I first took a test but I am so worried it’s a chemical or I just don’t know! I’ve wanted this for so long and knew there was something wrong hence why I pushed for the PCOS scan! Just wondered if anyone else has had issues confirming dates etc in early pregnancy? Just to confirm also I have had no pain or bleeding/spotting. A few cramps and groin pains but lots of feeling sick, tender breasts and headaches! Thanks in advance x

madeleine85 · 18/01/2022 17:27

@TotoAnnihiliation I just have the 1, she just turned 2 in December, so should be a nice enough age gap where hopefully she understands nearer the time what is going on. My sister had hers with an almost 5 year gap, and said it was perfect as her DD was able to help out and was excited to have a sibling etc. Hope your pregancy is going well... these early days really drag! I found myself thinking today I have 4-5 weeks before this is going to feel like it is going to go anywhere which feels like an eternity away!

Isonthecase · 18/01/2022 17:28

@msh95 that's odd, I would have thought you'd be around 7 weeks at the beginning of Jan so 9 now. Is it worth a chat with the EPU to see what's going on? When are you being rebooked for?

madeleine85 · 18/01/2022 17:31

@MSH95 congratulations! You have a positive test, and your symptoms sound very positive, so I am cautiously optimistic for you. When is your next test scheduled for? When I had my DD it was unplanned, so by the time we found out we were 5-6 weeks in, and the yolk sac was clear on the scan, though nothing else at that point, but that was on an internal scan. Sending positive hopes your way for your next scan x

I agree with you, these early days drag. I feel like a weird version of me, like I am still me but I feel off! I'm off work at the moment due to stress, but will be going back on Monday. Lord knows how I will cope as I've been napping a lot during the day due to exhaustion!

Just checking in everyone!

I am still having cramps, sometimes really painful but they aren’t as frequent now & don’t seem to last as long. Now I’m worried about this though as cramps were/are my only symptom! If cramps disappear then I have no symptoms at all & should be around 6 weeks tomorrow Hmm

I'm having them pretty much every day and I'm just over 8 weeks. I'm thinking it's totally normal :)

I think when I was 6 weeks they would come and go - but now every day
madeleine85 · 18/01/2022 18:30

@TotoAnnihiliation that is going to be a big adjustment, good luck!! I find that I have more energy in the mornings, so I try to do a lot then, and come lunch I am exhausted. I had a 3 hour lunch nap yesterday which was ridiculous. Looking forward to hitting week 12 (assuming all is well) and hopefully getting some normality back.

@BlueSky57 I feel much better this pregnancy than my last (must be a boy). When is your fist scan? My next one is in 2 weeks which feels so long away just now.

@Isonthecase yeah that’s what I thought too and the apps I used to track my cycle said the same it’s so odd! The midwife kindly contacted the EPU for us today cos I’d sat for over an hour waiting for the booking appointment just to find out it had been cancelled and I have been so messed about already so I have a scan booked with them on Thursday! Fingers crossed it goes well I am just so scared for bad news! Thank you for replying x

MSH95 · 18/01/2022 18:45

@madeleine85 thank you!! I have a scan booked with the EPU this Thursday morning to hopefully find out how far along I am and then we can get my booking appointment rescheduled! It’s just so nerve wracking! The midwife said the private sonographer should have done an internal if they thought I was less than 7 weeks but they didn’t they just rebooked me in for 3 weeks time so I have just been anxiously waiting! Thank you for replying x

madeleine85 · 18/01/2022 18:51

@MSH95 yeah I was pretty surprised that you said they didn't try an internal. For mine at 6-7 weeks they wouldn't even try external, they only did internal. It seems so varied! Glad you have a good midwife though and you are booked back in for a follow up. let us know how you get on x

OP posts:
BlueSky57 · 18/01/2022 19:08

@surprised12 I’m glad it seems pretty normal. Sometimes the cramps are so strong but other times hardly anything! Confused

@madeleine85 Other than the occasional cramps, I am also feeling so normal! This is my first though so I have no comparison. Is it true that more symptoms means a girl then? Hmm

BlueSky57 · 18/01/2022 19:10

Also @madeleine85 I am not sure when my scan will be. I’ve had my booking in appointment with the midwife over the phone & she just said they’ll send a letter out with a scan date in the next few weeks Smile

I am not sure what to do about early scan. The one closest to me does from 8 weeks only & is not internal. I don’t really fancy an internal one because I’m scared it may harm the pregnancy or something Blush

annlee3817 · 18/01/2022 19:29

@BlueSky57 with my DD I had no symptoms at all, with this one I am feeling sick all day every day at the moment.

@msh95 hope you get some reassurance on Thursday
