@Chocoholic88 congratulations!! I am walking and meditating a lot. Trying to stay positive but it's just such an anxious time!! 😩 I'm a few days ahead of you - really looking forward to hitting 6 weeks 🙏🏻 x

Sleepy86 · 16/01/2022 21:10

Thanks @Ginny216 glad everything was ok for you and it's comforting to know that bleeding isn't always a bad sign. I was talking to my mum earlier and she reminded me that she bled with both my brothers (separate pregnancies) until she was about 20 weeks. Once was a SCH, the other they never did get to the bottom of what caused it. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that because I've not had any pain or cramps that's a good sign! Will see what the GP says tomorrow, I'm going to ask to be tested for a UTI just in case as I had a bleed in my last pregnancy due to a UTI, so at least I can rule that out x

Glastomummy · 16/01/2022 21:11

@Ginny216 yessss!! So slow!! I had a weekend away for a friends baby shower which was a great distraction but home now and feel completely knackered!! X

Coopertron123 · 16/01/2022 21:18

Anyone currently have or had covid since finding out? My daughter has got covid for a second time and I'm worrying like mad incase I get it.

Tor88 · 16/01/2022 21:27

@Glastomummy @Chocoholic88 it is soooo hard not to stress. I'm now 6+2 and am feeling so, so much better, but the last two weeks have been seriously anxiety filled so I really do feel for you. I thoroughly recommend meditating and getting out and about to distract yourself. But ultimately there is a lot of anxiety so just be kind to yourself about it! I also wrote myself a letter to read if I miscarry where I tried to focus on the bigger picture and the idea that this embryo wasn't healthy so my body did the right thing etc. Obviously hope I don't ever had to read it, but it somehow felt cathartic to write. Have also been journalling. None of this might suit you at all haha, just my two cents on how I've got few the past few weeks!! Fingers and toes crossed for everyone's pregnancies

And same here on the discharge too! Google tells me its normal x

SkaterChick · 16/01/2022 21:34

@girafferafferaffe @Sassy144 yeah thankfully I only have to see him twice a week. But he's been on hols all this month and won't be back till 24th.

Nausea has calmed right down today but my boobs are absolutely killing me today, they hadn't been that bad so far!
Constipation is also back, fun times.

Anyone elses mood all over the place?
I've been feeling very off these last few days and I'm unsure if I'm just extra anxious with the pains etc and the worry of a second eptopic/mc. If I didn't know I was pregnant I'd think I was having a depressive episode. Maybe I am? Idk. Going to talk to you when I see them.
I'm hating that I have to call Thursday for an app, as it'll be so last minute it'll be very unlikely that my partner will be able to come with me as hell be working and can't just drop everything and nip out in his job. I'm really hating that he probably won't be there 😔

Glastomummy · 16/01/2022 21:41

@Tor88 thank you 🙏🏻 it's good to know you felt better after 6 weeks. I hoped I would and I MC'd at 5+3 so that will be a big milestone for me too. Definitely all about the meditation and journaling - I'm with you there sister! X

holdonbaby · 16/01/2022 21:53

Please can I join?
I'm due 20/9

No symptoms what so ever yet!

DM1720 · 16/01/2022 22:55

Hi I’m new here. Just found out yday that I’m pregnant. Only 11dpo here. Very nervous as I had a mmc and a chemical last year. And I’ve been spotting today. Anyone else have spotting at this stage? I know of implantation bleeding but would that not have happened earlier than 11dpo? Would love to hear of anyone else’s experience of spotting and the outcome. Any other time I’ve seen blood, it’s ended in mc for me so I’m worried. I’ve just never seen blood so early on!

TotoAnnihiliation · 16/01/2022 23:20

Hello to the newbies!

@DM1720 I never had implantation bleeding, but I didn't want to ignore your message as you sound worried. Pregnancy is such a scary time. I would try and contact your gp.

madeleine85 · 17/01/2022 00:36

@Tor88 and@Glastomummy I’m feeling very much the same way. Symptoms come and go, or I’m handling them better this time around. It’s a little unnerving tbh. When I was pregnant with DD I used to write her emails I’ll send one day when she’s much older. It was like journaling but it felt very therapeutic at the time. Just an idea 😊.

@SkaterChick my doctor won’t allow other halves except at the anatomical scans (the every 3 month ones). It was very nerve wracking going alone to see if there was a heartbeat, but you’re strong, you can do it. Ultimately I still felt just as good getting the heartbeat and reassurance when it was there. To those with discharge going on, it’s normal right now as the plug forms, so don’t worry, it’s a good thing.

I can't help worrying about my spotting, it was only a small amount but now I feel like my symptoms have gone too. This is such an anxious time!

madeleine85 · 17/01/2022 03:13

@Sassy144 apparently spotting is very normal, to the point your dr wouldn’t be concerned. My sister had 2 full periods while pregnant which would scare the crap out of me. I totally understand your fear though. I’m feeling much less sick this pregnancy which makes me worry there’s something wrong. last time I couldn’t touch vegetables, this time I think I don’t want meat. Our bodies are so strange. The only consistent feeling is being exhausted, which makes life with a toddler tough!

I'm spotting too. Well more like brown discharge. In only 4 weeks. Very crampy. And can't sleep!!

Sassy144 · 17/01/2022 06:36

@madeleine85 thank you, that helps me relax a little! @Whatelsecouldibecalled I'm only 4+4 too, helps to know we're not alone!

ERachD · 17/01/2022 06:57

Hello ladies! Please may I join?

My dates put my due date at around September 25th.

This is my second, my son is now 5 but it feels like a lifetime ago!

So what do I do now? I've forgotten everything. Do i contact the local midwife team or my gp? And when should I do it?

Peauela · 17/01/2022 07:06

@ERachD congrats and welcome 🤗

I contacted my GP first and got bloods done :) it's my first so I actually don't know what's next, I have to do second bloods tomorrow and then we'll see what the result is I guess 😂

BntTowers · 17/01/2022 07:14

I think with spotting if it's brown blood I wouldn't be too worried, as that means it's old blood. Your cramps/ something must have just disturbed something. With bright pink/ red and it keeps happening it's ok to get an appointment at the early pregnancy unit, I did last time and will again if I need to.

We told my mum and step dad yesterday and they are over the moon, I'm not really getting many symptoms yet which is scary, but I'm quite glad over at the moment. Just really bloated and feeling a bit sock at times, but then again I think I'm only 4+6 so there's time yet.

Last time I told my boss at 9 weeks I was pregnant, but it was right at the start of the pandemic and just when working from home was coming into force and they were telling pregnant people to shield. I stayed at home with my dad so I have no one to worry about telling this time.

ERachD · 17/01/2022 07:16

@Peauela thank you! I can't believe how much I've forgotten about the first time around!

I'll get in touch with my gp then and see what they say, Thank you x

BlueSky57 · 17/01/2022 07:23

Hi all. I was woken in the middle of the night by my cramps & then diarrhoea, then again this morning Hmm

My cramping pains don’t last long but are only really relieved by going to the toilet the last few days & are so intense when they do come!

No other concerns other than the fact lots of you have reported increased discharge & I haven’t really noticed any

SkaterChick · 17/01/2022 07:29

@madeleine85 the EPU allows you to bring your partner here. He was with me for everything when I had the mc.
I'm thinking of calling then a day early on weds and trying for a Friday app as that maybe enough notice to get cover. It'll be easier for me with work too.

annlee3817 · 17/01/2022 07:39

@ERachD Google midwife services in your area and that should tell you if you self refer or its through your GP services. My last one was 7 years ago, and it's changed to self refer and a central midwife team now. Congrats :)

DM1720 · 17/01/2022 07:44

@TotoAnnihiliation thank you! It has stopped now so I will see how today goes. I’m not even 4 weeks yet … google tells me it’s pretty normal at this stage. It can be normal right throughout the first trimester!
@BlueSky57 sounds like the cramping could be more your bowel! I think everything gets shifted around down there during this process! The joys!

BlueSky57 · 17/01/2022 07:48

@DM1720 I think you’re right! At least I can get some relief from going to the toilet but it’s not ideal Blush

EmLouisexx · 17/01/2022 07:54

Morning! I hope everyone is doing ok. I'm 4w 3d today.
I had symptoms just before i tested positive and at the moment I don't seem to have any apart from being tired.
Unfortunately I've caught a nasty cold so feel pretty rough at the moment. I hope this doesn't effect my pregnancy as I am hoping I am finally getting my rainbow baby🤞🏻
