@nadgersbadgers ahh lovely so glad it went well!! Bonus weekend off!

namechangeanonymous · 12/01/2022 17:55

Hope everybody is doing well.
I've had a couple of aches and pains the last couple of days so I think Baby is growing a little what I would describe as spikey pain in my side and a small bit of backache but that's after I've been asleep so might be the bed haha.

JJ1992 · 12/01/2022 18:23

Hi from the bath where Im trying to ease my weird stomach twinges / constipation Biscuit

Can someone post a link to the FB group to join? (that is if Im welocme after that intro 😂)

namechangeanonymous · 12/01/2022 18:42

Oh god, constipation - I have gone a full 360 on this (TMI alert!!) from earlier in the pregnancy, which isn't helping with the discomfort!

missv556 · 12/01/2022 19:01

@nadgersbadgers yay still due date twins 😁

WotsitMum · 12/01/2022 22:14

@missv556 i signed up for emmas diary woth my first, i dont remember getting much but worth following their facebook page for intresting posts and the occasional samples, i recently got a free fruit pouch, all i had to do was click the link they shared and put my email address u signed up for emmas diary with and my address for them to send me the pouch, took less than 30 secconds.

The bounty packs arent worth it, mainly full of leaflets, which are mostly the same in all of them and very small samples like 1 water wipe or a tiny body wash for baby or 1 set of breastpads or a drop of belly oil

ChinChilly · 12/01/2022 22:15

@nadgersbadgers so glad your scan went well, I remeber bursting into tears when we first heard the heartbeat. Your manager is on the ball, mine still hasn't done mine and she's known for ages because I had so much time off with sickness.

Firsttimemum38 · 12/01/2022 22:28

@Suprima unfortunately ended up at a &e today, after two successful scans at 6 and 8 weeks, the baby stopped growing at 9 weeks. Absolutely devastated.

I'm so sorry to hear your news. I hope you are being looked after well. Take care xx

Hope3821 · 12/01/2022 23:07

Had my booking scan today. All good and healthy, measuring 12+5. We were so relieved. I was even more relieved when the sonographer let me go to the toilet, I'd been asked to drink a litre of water for the appointment & was in such pain holding it in! Then they said I had a bit of blood in my urine so I had to drink more water so they could send off a fresh urine sample! I think it was because I had to hold so much urine in, but we'll see when the results come back. Anyway, bought a cute little babygrow as a good luck present to ourselves.

Oh I'm so so sorry 😢 was this supposed to be your 12 week scan? How devastating for you. Hope you have support around you and we are here too, to listen and to handhold Sad

"I was even more relieved when the sonographer let me go to the toilet, I'd been asked to drink a litre of water for the appointment & was in such pain holding it in! "

Haha, I had my first scan on Monday, and it's my first baby so I was following the instructions religiously to make sure I got a good scan... However I'd actually gone a bit OTT and the sonographer was like "your bladder is huge, go and pee" lol. It was such an exciting moment getting to actually see this little person inside of me though, had been trying not to think about it too much before then but now I know it's real and definitely there it's starting to feel more real.

@Suprima So sorry to hear you're going through this. I had mc this time last year at 10 weeks, it's an awful thing. Take lots of rest & give yourself time. Thinking of you.

everythingsnew · 13/01/2022 07:00

@Littletutu

I'm 15w today, and thinking of getting a pregnancy pillow now. Any suggestions? Trying to choose between the bbhugme and Amazon QueenRose. But I sleep on a king sized bed with my husband who is 6'5 and takes up a lot of space. Any recommendations? Thank you!
I bought this one from Asda, it's only £19 and seems to be ok so far, it has a cotton cover which is removable so you can wash it.

I haven't used either of the ones you mentioned so I don't know how they compare, but I was also looking into those.

The one I bought was recommended by a lady on another board on here so I thought I would give it a go considering the huge price difference!

I wanted one which I could hug and would go behind my back to try and stop me rolling back onto my back and the bbhugme one is only one piece isnt it, so I wasn't sure it would be right for me..

I’m so sorry. I’m sending so much love to you and your baby. Flowers

Please be kind to yourself and lean on those around you. There are some very helpful threads on here and I can recommend the miscarriage association Facebook group.

You will get through this but I’m so angry that you have to. X
