@laurenGame I'm also still getting sickness/nausea past couple have days have been okay but still not quite 'there' yet. I'm 14w1d.

Hi @Hannah1st congratulations & welcome! 😊
Depending on where you're from Maternity can differ, however I believe in all parts of UK it's fairly similar to each other where you need to be in work for 26 continuous weeks to be entitled to maternity pay.
Government website has loads of information on it 😊

Hi 👋 anyone from Cardiff/surrounding areas?

Hope3821 · 06/01/2022 00:30

Thanks @SamanthaVimes, I might actually start stealing the hubby's knee pillow haha!

On what to wear, omg ladies I cannot wait to get rid of my skinny jeans, and hopefully get them gone long after the pregnancy lol! I'm so over the effort of trying to take them off lol. Maternity leggings are on my horizon Grin

purpleskyssssss · 06/01/2022 05:37

Thankyou OP

missv556 · 06/01/2022 07:03

@Firsttimemum38 my scan is tomorrow and my letter only arrived yesterday. It was sent the 22nd December so it got caught up in some kind of Christmas/new year backlog. Luckily I'd noticed last week on my badger notes app that there was a scan booked otherwise it would be very short notice.

I've definitely got a bump too! My belly was fat before but it's definitely bigger and more rounded. Thought I'd show much later cos I'm not a thin girl but apparently not haha. It's that awkward stage of is it fat or is it bump so can't wait until its undeniably bump

Liverpoolgirl50 · 06/01/2022 07:13

@Firsttimemum38 are you with Hampshire Hospitals by any chance? Mine’s exactly the same!

CaptainCarp · 06/01/2022 08:10

@missv556 good luck for your scan tomorrow!

I got a letter about my extra growth scans but they were also meant to be booking me for a glucose test & 20 weeks... Not sure if it's been forgotten or delayed.
I might have to look at my notes online & see if it's there then.

Hey ladies

Hope everyone is doing well

I've just been going along so been quiet, 14+2 today and still checking for my bump to arrive!

I'm feeling much better now and finally wanting healthy foods! Apart from sweet stuff in evening, I've put on 8 pounds so far 😣.

I am constantly exhausted tho & that's with working from home! I am having to nap as soon as I finish work & have 0 energy to get to the gym! When do you normally start feeling more revitalised?????

WotsitMum · 06/01/2022 09:00

@Hannah1st every company is diffrent so you need to email HR, tell them your pregnant and ask for it to be kept confidentual and ask for the maternity policy/package. I still have it from my last and my company package is to be working for 26 weeks before the 15th week before due date

WotsitMum · 06/01/2022 09:08

@Liverpoolgirl50 im with a hampshire hospital too, the hospital rang me the week before to tell me my scan date as they knew the letter wouldnt get to me in time, my scan was new years eve so lots of bank holidays arround the time!

sle0911 · 06/01/2022 09:43

@laurenGame you're definitely not alone with the sickness, I'm still suffering at 13w5d, I've lost 8lbs so far! Hospital prescribed me Ondansatron yesterday which has helped slightly! Xx

Lianna93 · 06/01/2022 11:33

Morning ladies - hope you're all well!

Started feeling a bit better yesterday- managed to muster up energy to meet a friend for dinner but only managed a quarter of my food 😭
Today hasn't been good so far. Brought absolutely everything I've ate back up so far which is causing my stomach to cramp like mad. Weighed myself yesterday & I've lost 3kg since my booking appointment 😬
Have an appointment with my midwife next week, so if I'm not feeling better by then, I'm gonna speak to her about all of this.

ShellUK09 · 06/01/2022 12:02

Had my 12 week scan today at 12 weeks 3 days, was really anxious beforehand but thankfully baby was still there and the nurse said all looked okay. Baby was sound asleep when the scan started and she said it was an excellent position for measurements, she then asked me to wiggle my hips at the end so we could see the baby moving around 🥰 Due date of 18th July. Had a blood test for the combined screening test have to wait for outcome of that. It's such a worrying time building up to these scans I feel drained now! Trying to calm down and relax a bit. Hope everyone is doing ok today x

Anyone else just such an emotional wreck recently? I was never this emotional in my first pregnancy. Saying that my 16mo is going through sleep regression and has been up for hours on end for the last 3 nights so it’s probably just tiredness and hormones.

I’m still struggling with sickness and I’m 15+1 and still take anti-sickness. It’s so much more manageable though and only early mornings I suffer really.

BabyBorn · 06/01/2022 15:13

Hi all, can I join you? I am on baby number 3 and this was a surprise pregnancy. I’m due first week in July. Be nice to chat on this thread with mums that are pregnant as none of my friends are! Hope you are all doing well! X

JessieLongleg · 06/01/2022 15:30

I'm due 7th July, had 12 week scan baby is good as it gets. No bump yet but dull pain just above pelvis bone and random round ligerment pain. Having 16 week scan in 2 weeks so mum can come, and bit impatient to wait for NHS 20 week scan. Nervous but can't wait. Still dry heaving strong sense of smell and off certain foods. Sleeping so much and constipation as well!

WotsitMum · 06/01/2022 16:02

@BabyBorn im having my seccond. With my first i had 2 other family members pluss a few friends pregnant at the same time, this time round i know nobody pregnant!

ExTriTrying · 06/01/2022 16:07

Hello! This feels like a good thread to join!

I'm due July 15 - had my first scan on New Year's Eve and all looking well!

It's my first pregnancy, but have had a round stomach since about 10 weeks - assume a lot of it was/is bloating, but pleased to be working from home. Having the 'conversation with by boss' tomorrow!

CaptainCarp · 06/01/2022 16:13

@ShellUK09 thats lovely. Nice clear photo as well. mine was being a right pain & kept wriggling their butt around at my scan 😂

@Elsols93 at least you can tell that's a baby bump! You look lovely & slim so probably show a bit more. Its neat though.

@BabyBorn welcome! Myself & a few others are due 1st week July as well Smile

@JessieLongleg glad your scan all went OK. I went through the calendar on my phone to mark off 20 & 24 weeks yesterday & it seems like ages & nothing at all!
