@Effram thank you! I hope you're feeling better now? The doctor did her tests, my blood pressure is a bit low but all other tests we good. She signed me off for a week which I'm so grateful for as I desperately need it. I don't care about me as long as my baby girl is well looked after xx
I wonder if the sickness has caused a bit of trauma / nosebleed at the back? The morning of my 12 week scan was totally ruined because i coughed up fresh blood a couple of times.. I was terrified. When it stopped later and i blew my nose i realised it mustve been a nosebleed at the back! So scary when your body is doing unfamiliar things!

Hope all goes okay at your appt x

Capricorn8990 · 15/02/2022 18:38

@KizboBaggins thank you!

@Totallyblue it's rubbish isn't it? I'm glad I've got some time off work thank the lord!

@JJ1992 Awhh what a nightmare for you. Have you had it since?

Thank you all for your replies xx

KizboBaggins · 15/02/2022 18:56

@Totallyblue oh yeah I bet that narrowed the field for you massively haha. My mum was a teacher and even just stories she's told me of the kids have put me off a lot of names!

MollyRover · 15/02/2022 19:04

@Capricorn8990

Thank you *@KizboBaggins and @Effram* I have called the doctor and had a telephone app but cos I brought up blood whilst being sick they are seeing me face to face and I've had to do a urine sample.

I'm so worried I've done something bad with having the vaccine but I was also scared about getting covid later in pregnancy and being unwell 😞 catch 22 xx

I had Pfizer booster and luckily no side effects. You're doing the best you can possibly do for yourself and your baby, don't worry about that. Take advantage of your week and have a good rest, I'm feeling pretty exhausted myself and counting the days until I'm on leave at the end of the month!!
Mattieandmummy · 15/02/2022 19:19

Oh I feel everyone's pain, we went to our nephew's birthday party at the weekend and have been so ill with a horrible vomitting and diahorea bug. Still feeling decidedly dodgy today.

Saw our consultant today and have been told I'm having an elective csection as the safest route to get bump out. She basically said don't even think about doing this the old fashioned way, it's too risky. I actually feel really reassured, she was so nice and we get two extra growth scans as they want to know exactly how big this baby is likely to be.

strawberrysummer19 · 15/02/2022 20:33

Posted on another thread too but hoping someone may help

I have a really itchy bump! It's been itchy and I've mentioned it to my midwife at 16wk app where she said it's the skin stretching but lately it's soooooo itchy I can't stand it
There's red rash like spots but possibly where I've been itching in the day

Im using combo of bio oil aloe Vera and e45

Should I call gp or midwife as know itching can be dangerous but it is contained to my bump, boobs and sides of my stomach

I have a fairly big bump for 17wks

strawberrysummer19 · 15/02/2022 20:35

Oh and itchy shoulders too!

But again I've been itchy and dry patches for a while but this itch it getting on my nerves

Is piriton safe ? X

SamanthaVimes · 15/02/2022 20:45

@strawberrysummer19 I had a really itchy belly last time, I found E45 cream helped more than bio oil which just made me feel greasy

KizboBaggins · 15/02/2022 20:50

@strawberrysummer19 I was very itchy on my legs, lower back and a bit on my belly - midwife said not to take piriton without checking with GP first. I use E45 itch relief cream daily now. The itching reduced massively after 3/4 days of using it

strawberrysummer19 · 15/02/2022 20:53

@SamanthaVimes @KizboBaggins thank you I'm sure it's nothing sinister but I've been using e45 for weeks now and it doesn't seem to be helping

I have a blood test tomorrow I'll see if I ca my speak to my gp
More to be reassured that it's normal which I'm sure it is from what I've googled
X

missv556 · 16/02/2022 07:10

I reached a new pregnancy milestone yesterday, for the first time I couldn't fit into a space because my bump was too big for it 😅 lmao. If anyone ever goes to primark Birmingham and decides to eat in at greggs, I'd suggest bypassing the booths with rectangle tables cos you just won't fit lol the struggle has officially begun

strawberrysummer19 · 16/02/2022 09:05

I'm having the whooping cough vaccine today after my midwife said to make an app with my gp after my 16wk app - has anyone else? Is it normal practice?x

KizboBaggins · 16/02/2022 09:23

@missv556 congratulations im right there with you.... starting to bump into stuff with my bump!

I also feel like im starting to slow down already. Walking the dog this morning and took me far to long to get over a stile! Im not even that big yet... dread to think what I'll be like in a few weeks!

@strawberrysummer19 I've just booked mine for next week after midwife said to. Apparently it's going round so they said better safe than sorry!

missv556 · 16/02/2022 10:07

@strawberrysummer19 I had mine last week. I had to book a separate appointment after my 16 week one and got it done the following week at the same surgery my midwife is based at

strawberrysummer19 · 16/02/2022 10:36

Ah ok thanks ladies I never even heard of it but thank you. A round of bloods and a vaccine today. 😀x feels like it's going quick now

Gender scan booked this weekend 17+5 last saw bubs at 13+1 at my 12 week and as a regular early scanner ! I'm quite keen to see bubs again x

paintfairy · 16/02/2022 10:46

@strawberrysummer19 its more for the baby than for you (you'll have had it already) as it then covers them for the first weeks of their life. After 20 weeks is actually better though in terms of timing. I'll get mine then.
I went for a gender scan on Sunday! It was nice to see the baby. Very surreal- every time I'm like- that can't be in there! 🤣 I'm not going to go mad buying things in case they were wrong but they said its a girl!

strawberrysummer19 · 16/02/2022 11:20

@paintfairy oh that's funny, my nurse just literally said around now is the perfect time and said something about taken 2 weeks and not to leave it too long but around 20wks makes sense as you say it's for baby

Oh wow that's so exciting! Yeah I was like that with my scans - have you any movement yet?
I'm still waiting! I'm having hardening moments with then like little sloshing around feelings and my mum said that's it! But I'm not convinced when I felt them with my lo I 💯 knew
These are like what that movement then it all goes !

I can't wait to start feeling movements x

Capricorn8990 · 16/02/2022 12:13

Thank you @MollyRover I hope you feel better soon hun! Exhaustion is tough isn't it xx

KizboBaggins · 16/02/2022 12:53

@paintfairy I would also be worried if they told me it's a girl that it was actually a boy! Are you having another scan? Wonder if it'll stay the same!

I'm convinced ours is a boy already so not sure if believe them if they said a girl. Not that I care either way! Can't wait for the scan.

paintfairy · 16/02/2022 13:13

@strawberrysummer19 is hardening a thing? I have had that actually but I've only noticed by accident. I thought it was just when I'd eaten too much or something. 🤣 I felt little things where I've wondered if it's that or not but nothing definite.
@KizboBaggins I was convinced mine was a boy too, so I'm struggling to believe it! I'm hoping at my 20 week scan they'll confirm. But then you do read where it's wrong on several scans and then comes out a boy. Just wouldn't want to have bought lots of things by then!

strawberrysummer19 · 16/02/2022 13:27

@paintfairy not sure but sometimes it goes rock
Hard in one area throughout the day or when I've eaten and it feels quite tight and hard at times so wondering if that's movement
Guess it's still a tad early x

paintfairy · 16/02/2022 13:32

@strawberrysummer19 yes that's what I've had. Just hard one side or whatever?

Lianna93 · 16/02/2022 15:32

Hi ladies hope you're all keeping well!
Had my 20w scan yesterday, baby being stubborn as per usual but everything looks normal & she's growing how she should be.
Ended up in triage early hours this morning with vomiting- likely caused by stress & anxiety. Got given an injection & prescribed new medication to take along side my current antisickness tablets. New tablets are supposed to help with the nausea but also help with anxiety 🤞🏻
Baby is still absolutely fine though, kicking away like daft & heartbeat is all healthy - which was my main concern that my emotions would be negatively affecting her 😩

HotToddyColdSauvignon · 16/02/2022 16:17

Congrats on a successful 20 week @Lianna93!

Sorry to hear about the hospital trip though, that’s not fun at all Flowers

strawberrysummer19 · 16/02/2022 17:32

@paintfairy it seems to go hard in places, sometimes on the right hand side
