Welcome @Slanketeer! Sorry to hear you've had a tough week, but glad to hear that everything is ok with your little one Smile

Best of luck @Prema112!

Whatcanmyusernamebe · 18/01/2022 09:10

Morning ladies, hope you are all well. Have been following the thread for ages, not been brave enough to post until now but thought it was time to introduce myself. Currently 19+4 with an unexpected 4th baby. After 3 girls it was a lovely surprise to find out at my scan yesterday that I’m having a little boy! Looking forward to sharing the rest of the journey with you all.

3yearstrying · 18/01/2022 09:33

Thanks everyone for your help, i'll definitely call my GP!

@Rolledthedice im exactly the same when the cat is on me i swear baby can feel the vibrations from purring and starts going mad! Starting to get stronger now too and it makes me jump, so strange as it isnt painful but a shock haha

destiEos · 18/01/2022 09:39

Good luck with the scan @Prema112!

JAR1981 · 18/01/2022 09:53

Welcome @Slanketeer and @Whatcanmyusernamebe and congratulations! @slanketeer hope your pregnancy gets a little easier from here.

Good look @Prema112 and anyone else having a scan today. Enjoy seeing your little ones

laurenGame · 18/01/2022 10:00

Welcome @Slanketeer gah the hardest bit about bleeding in pregnancy is not getting an explanation or a reason for it! I said to my DP Imagine you were bleeding out of your penis for days and drs would just shrugging shoulders 🤷‍♀️ and you were supposed to get on with it.

Welcome @Whatcanmyusernamebe ah a boy after 3 girls how exciting!

Good Luck everyone on their tests today, excited for you and report back to us please Grin

pregnancydiaries · 18/01/2022 10:10

Welcome @Slanketeer and @Whatcanmyusernamebe to the group that has literally saved my life the past 4 months 😂♥️

Good luck to everyone with scans today. I have to admit with mine still 2 weeks away I am growing increasingly jealous of all you beginning of June lot!!!

xx

Olive60 · 18/01/2022 11:04

Loving all the updates on scans! Good luck to everyone with upcoming ones! I have to wait until 7th Feb for mine.

Although tomorrow evening I have my gender scan after it being pushed back due to covid.

PeeAche · 18/01/2022 11:52

Huge welcomes to @Slanketeer and @Whatcanmyusernamebe ❤️ Congratulations to you both on your pregnancies!

For any other lurking ladies like you, come and say hello! We'd love to smother you with our group kindness!

Good luck today to @Prema112 and any of you other ladies that are getting scanned today.xxx

GrowBabyGrow · 18/01/2022 12:10

Welcome to all the new thread members! This is such a lovely thread to be part of and it really is so nice to hear from other ladies at the same stage of pregnancy. Good luck as well to everyone that has a scan today too.

We heard the heartbeat in my midwife appt yesterday! I was so nervous that she wouldn't do it because of covid but it has really reassured me and made the wait until 11 Feb for the scan feel a little bit more bearable. 17 weeks today. According to the pregnancy+ app that means the baby is about the size of a pomegranate... a slice of cake...or a baby hedgehog(!)

Matilda30 · 18/01/2022 12:10

Aww lots of lovely scan news. I've also got to wait for mine - another couple of weeks. Thought I felt a couple of low down kicks yesterday, it was lovely. Just after me and DS had decided to call bump Squidge.

Lostintranslatio · 18/01/2022 12:22

@GrowBabyGrow I just saw this morning the sizes in the app, and I thought that it depends on who's slicing the cake. I can tell you my baby is smaller than the slices my DPs gets 😅😅😅

My 18 week appointment is with my GP. Will she be listening to the baby's heart? Waiting four weeks to the scan feels like ages 🙄

PeeAche · 18/01/2022 12:56

@GrowBabyGrow it's not that I now want a baby hedgehog more than my actual baby... but I definitely want a baby hedgehog now. You know?

🦔

Annabell1 · 18/01/2022 13:12

Welcome to the group @Whatcanmyusername be and @Slanketeer. Lovely to have you.
@Slanketeer I'm also due on the 18th so we are due date buddies. @Prema112 good luck with your scan. 💕

destiEos · 18/01/2022 13:15

@GrowBabyGrow mine's the size of a guinea pig and I've always wanted a guinea pig! 🐹

PeeAche · 18/01/2022 13:18

@destiEos Guinea pigs should always live in pairs. You'll have to get two.

Mine is the size of an Atlantic Puffin.

Um, yes please. Where can I get one?

pregnancydiaries · 18/01/2022 13:46

The pregnancy + app sizes always make me laugh. The difference in sizes when you look at fruit/animals/sweets 😂

This week I am an Atlantic Puffin (@PeeAche) and an ice cream cone...these don't feel like the same size 😂

Olive60 · 18/01/2022 14:03

Anyone else have a really itchy dry scalp/dandruff!?!?! Google seems to suggest it's very common in pregnancy!
Not something I've ever had and I've used the same shampoo for a few years but it's killlllingggg me constantly scratching. 😭

InvisibleDragon · 18/01/2022 14:07

The NHS week by week thing told me my baby was the size of an avocado a few weeks ago. DH and I have been calling him "the Avocado" ever since Grin

pregnancydiaries · 18/01/2022 14:14

Loving the bump names @Matilda30 @InvisibleDragon 😂

We named ours "Tiggey" from early on after Mrs Tiggey Winkles from Beatrix Potter...feels a bit odd keeping that name now we know he is a boy but it's too cute and I'm too used to it 😂♥️

PeeAche · 18/01/2022 14:16

Mine is called Rasputin.

Blush

It's a long story.

Matilda30 · 18/01/2022 14:32

@PeeAche love that! Grin

GrowBabyGrow · 18/01/2022 15:20

Oh all the animal sizes are so cute! Does make me want a menagerie of pets though... I think a baby might be enough to contend with come June though!

We haven't given bump a name yet. We just keep calling them baby which I swore I would never do but somehow it feels the most natural at the moment. I think I'm making up for calling it 'the parasite' when I was in the worst stages of pregnancy sickness ...

destiEos · 18/01/2022 15:45

@PeeAche I sort of thought I'd like a pair, but was unprepared for pregnancy being so, well rubbish really. Over confidently assumed I'd take it in my stride 😂

I loved the Atlantic puffin too! Maybe the baby will want Guinea pigs when it grows up..?

We refer to 'it' as fledge, or fledge-o if we're feeling antipodean 😬

Littlemilomoo · 18/01/2022 16:15

Anyone else in the awkward phase of having NOTHING to wear. Can’t get into any of my old jeans, leggings are so tight they are see through and dresses now too short due to bump 🤦🏻‍♀️ I have some maternity things but I’m too small for those currently !!!

Don’t think the “sharing” (lol please..) bags of chocolate are helping matters 😂
