@JAR1981 me too... eek! Equally excited and nervous. Good luck and I hope everything goes well for you 💚

RoseValleyRambles · 14/01/2022 11:25

I'm totally with you all on the thirst front. The worst bit is of I don't drink enough sitting the day I wake up at night.

I'm not usually a massive water drinker, but I've gone off my usual tea. Cruel and unusual. I've resorted to keeping a 2l bottle by my desk to try and tempt myself into better behaviour.

Vimto1991 · 14/01/2022 11:47

@Roxystar23 I felt sick first trimester but morning sickness kicked in second trimester. Not been sick since Boxing Day now, still feel a bit sick and gag at bad smells, but better than I was!

Flowerbug1994 · 14/01/2022 13:20

Hi all just wondering if anyone is having the same as me. Had some flutters since 16 weeks (I’m 19 weeks today). But I feel like I’m the past week my movements have slowed down mentioned it on the phone to my midwife and she was just like there so tiny they can tuck themselves away or be kicking towards your back. I don’t no weather it’s just my head because all the way along I have been so anxious something is going to happen. Am lying at night desperate for movement then I done know weather what am thinking is movement is even movement. Anyone else had this or am I just loosing my mind ? 20 week scan isn’t until next Friday and am so scared for it.

fpeg · 14/01/2022 13:42

@Flowerbug1994 this was very much my experience, up until four days ago movements remained fluttering, fleeting and intermittent. I'm 20+2 today so it's only this week that they have become stronger and more obvious, had my first external felt movement last night. If you look at Tommy's they tell you not to be concerned about them coming and going at this stage (I checked because I was worried). Hope this helps you feel a bit better about it 💚

Prema112 · 14/01/2022 13:44

@Flowerbug1994 I can totally empathise, I keep panicking that I haven't felt baby move much, they definitely have quiet days. It's so nice feeling movement but so stressful when you have done and then can't. I think the midwife is right, at this stage they are tiny and can hide

Prema112 · 14/01/2022 13:48

My husband has covid (again!!) which means he can't come to 20 week scan on Tuesday. Sad I don't know what to do. He's not that bothered about missing it but I'm scared to go without him in case something is wrong. My mum has broken her wrist so she can't come either. Would you go on your own or rebook? I'll already be 20+6 on Tuesday though...

LM42 · 14/01/2022 13:49

@Vimto1991 Thanks for your message and reassurance. I've definitely been over thinking things as they couldn't get the NT measurement for my little one either and with a miscarriage last year it's been a stressful time. Reading the
messages on here has definitely made me feel better, and I wouldn't be concerned about your result im just such a pessimist at the moment xx

Flowerbug1994 · 14/01/2022 13:49

Thanks for the reply’s i know that in my own head but sometimes you can’t think rational and it’s so hard to convince yourself isn’t it. When someone else says it it makes total sense to you am going to tell myself he’s tucked away in there and will be booting me steadily soon. I just can’t wait till next Friday to see him on the 20 week scan. I’ve had a lot do scans due to different little problems and private early scan and a gender scan this is the longest I have gone without a scan being pregnant. Am just anxious about everything. Xxxx

PeeAche · 14/01/2022 14:25

@Prema112 I'm so sorry about your situation. ❤️

The leaflet that came with my scan letter says the scan should be done between 18 weeks and 20+6.

I'm not sure if this is flexible. You could ring and ask.xxx

Clueless22 · 14/01/2022 14:35

@Flowerbug1994 I'm the same as you although not even had any flutters yet, I don't think anyhow as no idea what they feel like. I've assumed that when they come I will know. I'm 19 weeks tomorrow and very jealous of everyone's kicks and also a little worried at the same time as its happening the so many others at this stage. Although, I know deep down every pregnancy is different and that it's fine and have been told that it's not until 28 weeks that you should be seeing consistent movements, I have days where I convince myself something isn't right!
My 20 week scan is next Friday too and it could not come soon enough, seeing baby again will make it feel real again.
Other than the bump I don't feel pregnant at all.
Roll on Friday when we can both relax a little more x

Clueless22 · 14/01/2022 14:38

Is anyone on the daily wordle quest, praying that baby takes after DH on the brains front as I'm useless at it. Great to pick up whenever my mind starts going on a worry wobble though as they take me ages to solve 😀

pregnancydiaries · 14/01/2022 14:53

@Flowerbug1994 totally with you on this. I've been having daily flutters and they stopped suddenly on Tuesday. I actually ended up in Triage on Wednesday with abdominal pain and totally panicked putting two and two together and coming up with 5. I hope this reassures you but they listened to the baby's heartbeat and he was there beating away nice and strongly. I've still not had any movements so 3+ days now but the heartbeat was nice and strong so think we need to just try and listen to the MW that they are just tucked up nice and cosy. I'm desperate for the movements to come back xx

EarlGreywithLemon · 14/01/2022 14:55

@Prema112 I’m so sorry to hear! It’s a tricky one. Which way are you leaning? In my first pregnancy I definitely wanted my husband there. This time, I went to the first scan (at 10 weeks, for the NIPT) on my own because he had a cough and his PCR result hadn’t come back in time.
I suppose the difference with the 20 week scan is that you might want someone there with you to absorb information and ask questions in the very unlikely event that an issue is picked up (however minor). For the NIPT scan, it was much more binary - either it’s good news and there’s a baby in there, or it’s not.
But it’s a very personal decision, and a tricky one. Flowers for you.

pregnancydiaries · 14/01/2022 14:55

So sorry about this @Prema112 is there anyone else that could go with you? I personally think I'd lose my mind waiting any longer so would just have to go myself but definitely weigh up if you feel you can wait and would feel better going with your husband and then think about delaying it.

Bloody COVID, stay safe xx

fpeg · 14/01/2022 14:57

Hi ladies, just had my 20 week scan, pleased to report that all looked healthy and measurements were normal. They weren't very co-operative for most of the scan but then finally rolled over and the sonographer was able to tell us it's a little girl 💚 feels like life coming full circle as my other half's grandma died on Sunday so we're going to incorporate her name. Good luck to everyone else with their scans 💚

pregnancydiaries · 14/01/2022 15:55

Amazing news @fpeg congratulations on your little girl 💗 xx

My anomaly scan will be at 21+1 😥😥😥😥 I don't know if it will be OK or should I try to rebook...

@Prema112 is there anybody else you could bring with you?

I was in aldi doing the weekly shopping and I saw some little vests 😍 They were so cute that I had to buy one pack 🤣 I got size 0-3months, which is supposed to be up to 6kg, but they look so tiny!!! How tiny is a newborn!!!??? 🤣

Prema112 · 14/01/2022 16:21

@Lostintranslatio @pregnancydiaries @PeeAche @EarlGreywithLemon Thank you ladies for your replies. I think I'm leaning towards going on Tuesday rather than rebooking. As pregnancy diaries said I don't know if I can wait any longer- also Peeache I didn't know there was that timeframe in some places, I wonder why. I have a good friend who has said she can probably come so feeling a bit better. I know they aren't going to say there no heartbeat as I can feel baby moving so it feels less scary than the 12 week scan where that could have been the case

Roxystar23 · 14/01/2022 16:25

Aww, thanks for sharing how you have been getting on. I hope you’re feeling much better now. Hopefully trimester 3 comes with no sickness for both of us! Fingers crossed!!

destiEos · 14/01/2022 16:30

@Prema112 that's a bit rubbish, but very glad you've found someone to go with you. I've felt like a teenager every time I've gone to the clinic/hospital/midwife during the pregnancy. Very odd, I'm usually fairly confident but this is all new to me. Are you going to find out the sex?

Roxystar23 · 14/01/2022 16:30

Forgot to tag you @Vimto1991 - doh!

Prema112 · 14/01/2022 16:34

@fpeg congrats on a prefect scan and a baby girl! So exciting!! X

Prema112 · 14/01/2022 16:35

@destiEos Thank you, yes I can't wait to know the sex, at first I didn't want to now I can't wait!! We have girls names but no boys names 😬

Flowerbug1994 · 14/01/2022 16:56

@pregnancydiaries @Clueless22 thanks so much for your reply’s girls. Things like this reassure me so much knowing that am not the only one 😭😭 xxx
