Hello everyone!

I have just had my BFP this morning, and based on dates I am due on the 1st September! I’m only just late on my period so hopefully there will be a few more of us over the next few weeks. Last pregnancy my date was pushed back a few days and DS ended up being a full 12 days late after that so I’m not too wedded to the 1st September!

I want to get some maternity clothes, particularly maternity bras as my boobs are straining against my current bras. I'm worried that I'll jinx things though 😭 it's still so early! Not helped by a previous MMC.

Feel the same as you! I'm desperate for a different bra!!

My boobs are sooo sore, the slightest movement and they really hurt - wearing little crop top type bras at the minute but they have zero support.

Buying anything maternity yet will feel like a jinx for me! I'm not doing anything until 12 weeks just to be sure!

I've given in an ordered a couple of non wired bras in a bigger size, the two I have are too tight around the back, won't get anymore than that though, because if my boobs grow like they did in the last pregnancy then it's pointless, but the two now will be good for when I start moving away from breastfeeding and.start to shrink back

@LizzeyBenett I’ve heard about B6 being helpful but forgot to look into it. It’s in my pregnancy multivit but maybe I’ll look at taking it separately… thanks so much!

@LizzeyBenett and @BlueSky57with my DD my symptoms didnt start until weeks 6-7, and then it was full on HG so there is still time for a few to appear. My friend though had none, and is in month 8 and still has none, besides looking like a beautiful pregnant lady! Mine this time are much weaker than when I had DD, so if all is ok I am guesing this is a boy. I have a scan though tomorrow so at least that will determine one way or the other if things are ok. I've been living in limbo land and driving myself insane for the last two weeks. One more day!

@mgah90 the nausea is rotten, I had it last time. B6 helps, also taking your regular prenatals at bed time. Apparently when people take them first thing in the morning it can irritate an already upset stomach when being digested and can cause more nausea. Hope you're feeling better!

@girafferafferaffe try not to feel guilty. As you said, this is pay for the work you are doing now & will continue to do well into your pregnancy I imagine. It is money you deserve and will need during maternity leave so it is only fair

Just wondering… is anyone on a subsequent pregnancy and experiencing totally different symptoms to their first?
I am way more exhausted this time, ( though I am recovering from Covid) and my breasts as so so sore. Much more emotional too. But I think that is partly down to being so in love with my DD and being overwhelmed by the idea that we will soon be doubling this love… wow…
I know people say that is symptoms are different it could be a different sex ( surely not as early as 5 weeks in though?) but also every pregnancy is different too, I am hoping so because I had awful morning sickness last time! Currently feeling mega anxious ( that never goes away) and Just praying all is well at our 8 weeks scan 🤞🙏❤️

I think I need to book an early scan and once I know everything seems ok I’ll tell him.

This is number 3 for us and planned, so I really didn’t expect to be having so much anxiety about telling him 😂 I just can’t seem to spit the words out

We had an early scan at 6 weeks last time. And we are doing one at 8 weeks this time. Well worth it I think! Neither of us could wait 12 weeks! 😬

@Weddingaug2019 mine are different to last time when I was pregnant with my DD, boob soreness kicked in much earlier, and I didn't have any nausea at all last time.

I have the same aversion to chocolate and sweet stuff though.

Hope the next few weeks whizz by, also waiting impatiently for my 8 week reassurance scan

I’m 5 weeks too and have been mega bloated, it’s normal to bloat a lot in the early stages. I bloated on and off for months with my DD It was like I had a disappearing baby bump! My actual bump didn’t appear with DD until I was about 5+ months gone and then I never got particularly big. But I was carrying her towards my back and also had an anterior placenta. Im hoping for an early bump this time haha. Rubbing your hands over that bump is just the best feeling 🥰

I didn’t have any cravings for chocolate or sweets with my DD and I don’t normally either, more of a savory girl. But this time I can’t stop stuffing my face with chocs!
Have the same desire for fried chicken as last time though! Strange! Especially so because I never normally eat it, just not normally a fan! Ha
I hope your 8 week scan goes well. Mine with be end of Jan start of feb.. how long have you to wait?

@Weddingaug2019 mine are completely different to my DD. I have sore boobs, exhaustion, less nausea and I just feel different. Glad someone else is the same. If it makes you feel better I cried reading the first chapter of harry potter last night. I think I might be emotional :). Some of the food cravings are the same though, you are right on that one. Suddenly I must have melon of all things?!

@girafferafferaffe congratulations on the pay increase, that is honestly amazing, and I am sure it is so well deserved! Do not feel guilty, you worked for that!

@Weddingaug2019 I so could have wrote this. I am 6 weeks today (maybe a few days further forward) but I am feel different to what I did with my son at this stage. I was retching all day with my boy but this pregnancy I am fine during the day but come early evening I feel pretty sick. My boobs are also tender and I didn’t have that with him, I remember having tingles last pregnancy quite early on. Had terrible headaches last time too but none this time.

I am also very tired but my little boy doesn’t sleep and we are also recovering from covid. God knows how I am going to cope with a non sleeping toddler and a newborn but we will cross that bridge in September 😂

@Weddingaug2019 I have 2 DS and my pregnancy's we're identical but with my DD it was completely different this being my 4th pregnancy and feel completely different again. My partner joked and said maybe there's multiple in there what an exciting thought 💭 x

Hey everyone, Spoke to my EPU this morning and they told me to call them on the day I'm 6 weeks and theyll have me in for a scan within a couple of days. I'll be 6 weeks on Thurs 20th so going to be a long 10 days!

Also suffering with the constipation 🤣🤣 my cramps also get better when ive managed to go 🤣 glad it's not just me.
Boobs are a bit sorer today and I've felt nauseas all day.
And I'm sooo tired. I'm ready to get into bed already 🤣

I'm right there with on all of that! @SkaterChick I'm 6 weeks on Friday. Still no sickness tho. Lucky me.

5 weeks 2 days and I've no symptoms no fatigue no morning sickness , I should be delighted I guess ? Just terrified it's going to hit me like a ton of bricks. First baby so I've no idea what to expect .

I am a teacher so I don't think I'll be able to hide when I need to run out of class. I'd imagine Leaving 30 kids to throw up is frowned upon 😂

My best friend is a teacher and she managed her pregnancies and his them till 12 weeks. I believe she was sick and felt rough from 4 weeks onwards!
Fingers crossed all goes smoothly for you.

I'll take the once, last time before I MC I was puking 4/5 a day.. was not fun..

@SkaterChick my mum was a teacher and back when she was pregnant she remembers throwing up into the young child sized mini toilets and being like god this is my life now lol. Good luck!

Anyone else struggling with sleep? I'm so tired yet keep waking up in the middle of the night!
