Hello everyone!

I have just had my BFP this morning, and based on dates I am due on the 1st September! I’m only just late on my period so hopefully there will be a few more of us over the next few weeks. Last pregnancy my date was pushed back a few days and DS ended up being a full 12 days late after that so I’m not too wedded to the 1st September!

I feel terrible this morning. I thought I woke up with no symptoms, I was driving DD to nursery and bam they hit me. Currently nibbling ginger biscuits.

Gemmasl35 · 10/01/2022 09:30

Wow my sleep is so messed up didn't manage to sleep until gone 3.30 I have to be up for 6:30 🥱😴 Is anyone else experiencing this it's not every night but it's happing very often it's going to be a long day x

MOLWI · 10/01/2022 09:32

Think I'm going to book in my first scan for next Tuesday, getting too impatient just want to see and know things are all ok! I'll be 6 weeks this Thursday...

Gemmasl35 · 10/01/2022 09:34

@TotoAnnihiliation awe bless you is it sickness you are experiencing? I found ginger tea was amazing when I had it with previous pregnancy wasn't the best tasting but oddly Moorish as it did help with the sickness so much I'm yet to experience it yet myself in this pregnancy x

HopefulMummy44 · 10/01/2022 09:37

Good morning ladies,
I have just been to my emergency scan for the pains on my lower right side. I saw my little peanut right where they are supposed to be, in the womb. Still no heartbeat just yet, as I am only 5+3. I didn't expect to see a heartbeat, so I'm not too worried about that. Not out of danger zone but definitely a massive sigh of relief. They said some people get pains on one side, both sides, and it can just be normal.
We have booked an early scan when I will be eight weeks. Because the wait to know if they are alright is agonising.

annlee3817 · 10/01/2022 09:39

@Gemmasl35 yep posted about that earlier, absolutely exhausted, but can't sleep :(

annlee3817 · 10/01/2022 09:40

Great news @HopefulMummy44 hope the time goes quickly to the next scan, I'm counting the days to mine, 12 to go

Gemmasl35 · 10/01/2022 09:45

@annlee3817 oh sorry didn't see your post i lose track of them when i haven't been on for a while have you any other symptoms as other than this I don't have any I had a scare last week with severe pain on and off for about 12 hours so I'm a little concerned I don't have any x

annlee3817 · 10/01/2022 09:48

@Gemmasl35 lol don't be sorry, it's impossible to keep up with these threads :)

Yes, nausea on and off, particularly bad today, I'm 6+4 and want to go back to bed, it's not every day though

TotoAnnihiliation · 10/01/2022 09:52

I haven't been sick, I just feel "off" and tired. The thought of real food repulsed me, ginger biscuits it is! I've also bought some ginger ale.

Whoknew22 · 10/01/2022 09:52

Yeh same with the sleep for me. Totally exhausted and my 2 year old is a menace and doesn’t sleep well at all. I’m still working full time, luckily from home which is a saviour. I have total insomnia. Fall asleep no problem but cannot stay asleep and up for hours. I need to bring some mindfulness back into my life

Gemmasl35 · 10/01/2022 09:58

@annlee3817 awe poor you sickness is the worse. I'm 6+1 and Iv got an early scan booked for 8 weeks im in two minds to move it forward. Iv had 3 children tho 2 boys and a girl with both boys I didn't even feel pregnant until I had a bump, no symptoms at all other than some fatigue In the beginning but my daughter was a completely different story,😆 so I'm trying to think positively and keep telling myself maybe no symptoms mean boy.

annlee3817 · 10/01/2022 10:01

@Gemmasl35 I've been tempted to bring mine forward too! :)

I didn't have this with my DD at all, no symptoms whatsoever so wrongly assumed that would be the case this time. DH keeps saying must be a boy as I'm having symptoms this time 🤣

Gemmasl35 · 10/01/2022 10:01

@TotoAnnihiliation yes this was the same for me with my daughter didn't be sick once but felt it constantly every smell and the sight of food made it worse it was awful hope the ginger helps for you

MOLWI · 10/01/2022 10:31

@Gemmasl35 @annlee3817 I have a 9 week scan booked in but knowing I could have one next week is soooo tempting!! So I think I might book a 6 week one in because I'm so impatient and anxious haha

PoppyN1 · 10/01/2022 11:45

Sorry to hear about those feeling poorly! I tested because of nausea and fatigue, which I also got in my last pregnancy. Very few symptoms today though but again this happened before so I’m trying to be more relaxed and roll with it this time (🙈). I’m still on maternity leave which is a blessing in some ways as less concerns about work (imminently- different story when I go back!)

Because I’m not sure of dates it makes planning an early scan really frustrating!

Sassy144 · 10/01/2022 11:48

Is anyone else getting extreme hunger? From the moment I wake up I'm absolutely ravenous, and then again every few hours or so. I'll take this over sickness though so not complaining!

petitlapin1 · 10/01/2022 12:11

Excellent news @HopefulMummy44! Countdown is on to the next one now.

The anxiety of the next 2-3 weeks is unbearable. I want to get past 8 weeks (my MCs have been in week 7 before, the last one after a good scan at 6-7 weeks) but every day is dragging!

And I'm supposed to be revising so using the symptom spotting as yet more procrastination! 🙄😂

Chlox16 · 10/01/2022 12:15

Congrats on everyone's recent BFP's. Grin

Just wondering if there's anyone on this thread that hasn't had any covid vaccines yet?
I had a good cry yesterday about it all as I'm so torn whether or not to get it. It scares me because it wasn't advised for pregnant women originally and now i'm seeing loads of things in the news about pregnant ladies dying or being really ill. Confused
So stressed about it - I would wait until 12 weeks anyway before I make my decision so have a few weeks just wondering if anyone's in the same position?

Chlox16 · 10/01/2022 12:18

Sorry should of been more clear
seeing loads of things in the news about pregnant ladies dying or being really ill from covid who are un-vaccinated

I had 3 covid vaccines 2 plus booster all before I got BFP but my BFF is about 16 weeks and just got her booster all went well. I'm in Ireland fyi . I'd be more scared of catching covid while pregnant than the vaccine but that's just me personally everyone is different x
Tor88 · 10/01/2022 12:41

@Chlox16 I had my booster last week so was just under 5 weeks preg at the time, all totally fine, glad I did it

Tor88 · 10/01/2022 12:42

@Chlox16 also there are a lot of MN threads on this topic specifically that might be worth reading

Gemmasl35 · 10/01/2022 12:49

@Chlox16 I haven't had any covid vaccines and personally don't plan to any time soon i don't mean to sound ignorant but I have all faith in my immune system they will always broadcast the few women who have been seriously ill or even died from coving in pregnancy which is terrible and very sad but what they don't tell you of is the millions of pregnant woman who haven't. Also I read an article a couple of days ago that said women where at there most valuable in there frost trimester x

annlee3817 · 10/01/2022 12:52

@Chlox16 I had my booster three days after I ovulated.

As someone else said, there are a lot of threads on the subject, some pointing to the amount of women that have had the vaccine in pregnancy in the US, they went full steam ahead with it at the time we were being cautious with it and advising pregnant women not to get it, so I think the data is stronger there.

It's a personal choice, none of us can tell you what to do. For me, I lost my Grandma to it last year so I didn't hesitate. I'm not saying that to sway you, just stating why I got it.
