Hello everyone!

I have just had my BFP this morning, and based on dates I am due on the 1st September! I’m only just late on my period so hopefully there will be a few more of us over the next few weeks. Last pregnancy my date was pushed back a few days and DS ended up being a full 12 days late after that so I’m not too wedded to the 1st September!

Congratulations ladies! There is a Facebook group, if you go a few pages back you will find information explaining how to join.
I try to be relaxed but every time i go to the toilet and I see no blood I am thinking "still pregnant!"

Confusedmumof4maybe5 · 06/01/2022 14:21

I did have some negative before plus I’ve been in hospital had a scan etc

Confusedmumof4maybe5 · 06/01/2022 14:22

Can I just say I’m very nauseous and was randomly sick even though I’m on cyclazine

surprised12 · 06/01/2022 15:31

@annlee3817

Just had my first midwife appointment through for Sunday, I'll only be 6.3 by then, seems a bit early 🤔 wondering if it's due to the dramas in my previous Pregnancy
Ooo that is early - I've got mine on Tuesday - I'll be 7+3 so thought I was doing well to be seen so quickly!
surprised12 · 06/01/2022 15:32

I'm due 29th August but think they'll add on a few days as I've probably worked it out wrong - hoping it is a September baby!

Me too! Pretty sure the date is wrong but I've had dates moved forward then late babies twice so no idea which month to expect now. Any word on your first scan? Really nervous it won't be for an absolute age and my resolve to not have an early scan is crumbling with every day!

@becky239

I just clicked the lock to try and join the FB group and it says the link has expired. Not sure if that’s the same for others too. 😇

becky239 · 06/01/2022 15:52

@MrsR87

The link automatically expires once it's been used so many times, here is a new one

surprised12 · 06/01/2022 16:42

@Isonthecase I've booked an early one - it's on Sunday. Just couldn't wait until 12 weeks.

I have my booking in on Tuesday with midwife and will find out when 12 week scan will be - hopefully as close to 12 weeks as possible!

lickerdysplit · 06/01/2022 17:31

I've got an early scan booked too - my fertility clinic ask for it as standard but I do feel it would reassure me as well. Also! Is anybody else finding they're weirdly full after eating hardly anything? 🤷🏼‍♀️🤷🏼‍♀️

MyloC · 06/01/2022 18:08

Hi can I join?

I've only just got my BFP and already worried I'm jumping into this group too early but my minds in overdrive just now. My first is 3 in July.

LizzeyBenett · 06/01/2022 18:48

Can I ask what supplements everyone is taking ?

madeleine85 · 06/01/2022 18:58

@LizzeyBenett I take a prenatal vitamin and an extra B6. Take both at night as morning sickness was worse the last time if I took them during the day.

@MyloC welcome :) that will be a great age gap for your little ones, hope you have a sticky bean. Mine will be 3 in December with #2 due in September. It's nice to think that they will somewhat understand/be helpful so it won't be complete chaos (I hope)! At the most we are 2 weeks ahead of you in this group, so you are definitely not too early.

Alexandra07 · 06/01/2022 19:47

@LizzeyBenett I take folic acid and vitamin D. Every few days I take a multivitamin or prenatal because I have some left.

Isonthecase · 06/01/2022 20:07

How exciting @surprised12! Hope it comes round quickly Smile can't wait believe it's a whole month and a bit to 12 weeks!!

LizzeyBenett · 06/01/2022 20:09

Is anyone taking DHA / Omega 3 ?

annlee3817 · 06/01/2022 20:13

@LizzeyBenett what's DHA? I'm looking for some omega 3 which is suitable for pregnancy, but not sure which to get, some apparently contain fish oils that we aren't meant to have, but not sure if that's just Google stirring the pot

PixelsMom · 06/01/2022 20:27

Found this link helpful on omega 3 (source of EPA and DHA) and if it should be taken in pregnancy - www.aptaclub.co.uk/pregnancy/diet-and-nutrition/key-vitamins-and-nutrients/understanding-lcps.html

Ideally any omega 3 oil capsules not containing fish liver oil or cod liver oil seems to be recommended.

Tor88 · 06/01/2022 20:29

@MyloC congratulations! And don't worry I think most of us jumped on this thread as soon as we found out! I did anyway 😅😂

madeleine85 · 06/01/2022 20:30

is anyone else finding this part worse than the 2WW? Symptoms come and go, and early scan isnt for another 8 days which feels like forever away!

Tor88 · 06/01/2022 20:32

@annlee3817 @PixelsMom I was taking cod liver oil for 5 days before googling it and realising it was a massive no no 🙈 nightmare, hoping it was fine coz it was so early and not for too long. It's excess vitamin a that's the concern...

Tor88 · 06/01/2022 20:36

@madeleine85 I totally know what you mean, it feels so long to wait to find if everything is ok... I'm definitely finding this better than the tww overall though! The odds have gone from being against us to being in our favour!! And as this is my first I'm just so pleased to find out I can conceive 🙏

I do totally panic every time I get a cramp though, it sure is stressful isn't it! And I feel like we shouldn't be getting too excited until after the 12 week scan, even though we should probs also think positive?! Total minefield...

PixelsMom · 06/01/2022 20:37

@Tor88 I’m sure it’s not a problem since you took for a short duration. Yea cod liver oil has vitamin A which is not recommended during pregnancy

annlee3817 · 06/01/2022 20:37

@Tor88 at the moment I'm just on folic acid with vit D, but being veggie was worried about Omega 3, read the same as you, minefield isn't it lol

Congratulations @MyloC

I'm struggling at the moment too. I had a bleed when pregnant with my DD at 6 weeks, was convinced it was a MC, turned out I had a bladder infection with no symptoms and was bleeding from there, but now I feel like I can't settle until I get to 12 weeks. I also have to inspect the tissue every single time I wipe just in case (I was the same the whole way through my last pregnancy). I'm 4+4 today and my symptoms are still sporadic too. Bring on the 12 week scan!!
