Hello everyone!

I have just had my BFP this morning, and based on dates I am due on the 1st September! I’m only just late on my period so hopefully there will be a few more of us over the next few weeks. Last pregnancy my date was pushed back a few days and DS ended up being a full 12 days late after that so I’m not too wedded to the 1st September!

@2mumlife definitely I'll ring them tomorrow morning and just hope they'll see me

cantbelieveit2022 · 03/01/2022 17:30

@MOLWI I think so!! Im not 100% but I would assume it's then showing that your HCG is increasing in line with how long it's been since conception.... feel free to correct me if anyone doesn't think this is how it works! I'm so new to this.

I suppose everyone is right in that we can only assume all is going as it should, unless we start to bleed. I'm the same, driving myself mad wishing I could know exactly what's happening in there!!

I'm not going to tell anyone for a while yet. Not sure I'll wait until 12/13 weeks, maybe if I get a scan around 8 I'll a few ppl then.

KatBee121 · 03/01/2022 17:30

Ooo so excited to have found this thread! 😁 Congrats to all the BFP ladies!! 🥳

I got my BFP on NYE, CD29 and DPO 10/11 🥰 been trying 4 months and never had a positive stick before so had to do a double take! Taken two more tests since (although I resisted this morning which would be 14/15 DPO so that hopefully by tomorrow it should be a fair bit darker). Anyone else know if these lines look reasonable for my DPO. I've put them as 11-13 but may actually be 10-12 based on uncertainties with my rather long LH surges. Period was due today or latest by tomorrow but not had any indicators of it so crossing my fingers!
I'm just so paranoid about it not sticking 🙈 (even though I've never had a MC or pregnancy for that matter).
I'd be due around September 12th though all being well!! 🥳👶🏼

Also, sorry for all the questions!!

I'm in the UK, do you have to have the pregnancy confirmed by your GP? With a blood test? I was on the hospital website and it said you can self refer as soon as you get a positive test. So I'm assuming I'm ok to go ahead and do that. It's a nightmare trying to get through to my local health centre at the min, they are snowed under with everything going on!

MOLWI · 03/01/2022 17:34

@cantbelieveit2022 I did the self referral thing because I was too impatient waiting for my GP to open back up over the weekend/bank holidays haha!

But I might do the e consultation for my GP tomorrow when they're open too?

MOLWI · 03/01/2022 17:35

@cantbelieveit2022 I've also booked in for a private early scan at 9 weeks so might tell a few people then! Not 100% yet!

cantbelieveit2022 · 03/01/2022 17:42

@KatBee121 those lines look great! Very similar to mine and our dates are the same too I think.
The top 2 are 12dpo, and the bottom 2 are 14dpo. I'm not 100% sure why I did two tests each... I think I just still couldn't believe it!

I'm definitely booking in for a private scan too. I'm tempted to do it abit earlier, a few of my friends did theirs between 6-8, which seems so early! But I can see why they did, it's hard to resist

Blythwind · 03/01/2022 17:44

Thank you for the link, I have joined :)

I have told my in laws (as we were at their house when I did the test). I've also told my sister as she was trying to book a family camping holiday when I will be 8 months so I had to put her off! I've not told my parents yet.

With my son, we didn't tell anyone until we were really far along and couldn't hide it!

MOLWI · 03/01/2022 17:45

@cantbelieveit2022 yeah I was tempted to do earlier too but was worried if I went too early it might be too soon to pick up a heart beat or something and I didn't want to overthink it if that were the case!

Oh no! This has just reminded me we do a family camping trip every august too which we book in January 😂 I might have to pretend to book my space this year haha

@cantbelieveit2022
Oh wowzers! Yours look great!! That's really strong for 14DPO! Think mine are quite a bit weaker but still hoping they're at least getting stronger. Guess I'll find out tomorrow morning if it's got better over the last two days 🤞🏻honestly the amount of stress we put ourselves through is unreal 😂
What would be your due date then? ☺️

cantbelieveit2022 · 03/01/2022 17:53

@KatBee121 I am awful at staying hydrated so I think that has something to do with it, but have really upped the water the past few days! The problem is I could easily go all day and just drink tea, so I need to force myself to drink more water every day!

Based on last period it would be around 5th/6th, however I have quite irregular cycles and I ovulated around cd21 so it'll be at least 11th I reckon. But I'll find out at the first scan I imagine!

Have you had any symptoms? I am exhausted!

I was pregnant earlier this year - just rang the doctors and they referred me to midwife.

However this time, I've changed doctors and they made me go in and leave a urine sample - which came back positive before they would refer me.

KatBee121 · 03/01/2022 18:07

@cantbelieveit2022
Oh same here! I barely drink anything 😬 (except for wine...obviously had to stop that when I got my BFP) 🙈 I end up drinking more during the night annoyingly.

I've had a few weird symptoms. My boobs were killing me for a few days (which I normally get anyway half way between ovulation and my period) but it lasted way longer than it should and was worse than normal. Seems to have eased off today (still feel abit sore and heavy though). I've also been getting some very mild on/off cramping and lower back ache (which is very usual for me...that's not one of my PMS symptoms). Other than that I cant think of any obvious symptoms, but normally I'd have got my usual PMS blues and warning discharge at least a day or two before my period starts. How about you? Have you been feeling differently yet?

PixelsMom · 03/01/2022 19:04

Hi Everyone! Have been a long time lurker of this thread maybe because I’m still finding it slightly hard to believe that I’m pregnant and due 1st September 2022.
Long story short, this will be my first child - had an ectopic pregnancy in August which self resolved and fell pregnant first cycle trying again. Under the watchful eyes of the EPU this time given my history, my bloods were monitored and had an early placement scan at 5w1d. Baby is in the uterus!!
Looking forward to sharing this journey with you lovely ladies, have also joined the FB group (initials SR). ❤️

MrsFLongbottom · 03/01/2022 19:07

@arianasky I've got everything crossed for you. Tests can be tricky this early on but also know what you mean about having a feeling. Good luck tomorrow and get plenty of rest X

I'll request to join the FB group now (initials LB) but might not actually be on it for a few weeks till I feel more confident!

annlee3817 · 03/01/2022 19:12

@PixelsMom congratulations!

MOLWI · 03/01/2022 19:15

@PixelsMom oh wow congratulations!! Was this a private scan? Seeing this has made me want to move my 9 week one forward 😂 how exciting

MOLWI · 03/01/2022 19:16

@PixelsMom sorry just reread your post and saw that you said haha

PixelsMom · 03/01/2022 19:24

Thank you @annlee3817 and @MOLWI! This was a scan done at the early pregnancy unit (I’m based in London). I was given this option due to my history and I must admit it has reduced a whole lot of anxiety I was feeling. Have another one in a couple weeks time, I would have honestly got a private scan if not 😅

arianasky · 03/01/2022 19:29

@PixelsMom congratulations 🎉 sorry about your loss, amazing to see the baby is in the right place 🙌🏻

arianasky · 03/01/2022 19:30

@MrsFLongbottom thank you 🙏🏻 it's going to be a long and stressful few days I think until I what's going on and congratulations 🎉

Alexandra07 · 03/01/2022 19:32

@cantbelieveit2022 the GP will not confirm the pregnancy, no tests are done. They probably know that all of us had already several done! The GP will refer you to the local hospital/maternity unit, or you can do it. I self referred myself but I'll call my GP so my records are updated and because I may need blood tests for my thyroid.

monkeyjocks · 03/01/2022 19:40

When I was pregnant with my first I called my gp and they gave me the number for the community midwives. I called them and they booked me in for my first appointment a few weeks later where they confirmed my pregnancy with a urine test.
