Hello everyone!

I have just had my BFP this morning, and based on dates I am due on the 1st September! I’m only just late on my period so hopefully there will be a few more of us over the next few weeks. Last pregnancy my date was pushed back a few days and DS ended up being a full 12 days late after that so I’m not too wedded to the 1st September!

Decided to tell my mum today, first person I've told besides DH, just knew I'd need her support whatever happens. Still doesn't feel real and I've known for nearly a week!

Also I've done 7 tests so am officially cutting myself off now!

@cantbelieveit2022 I like to mentally torture myself it seems. I tested every day days 10-21. It took till day 18/19 for the test strip to be stronger than the control line. I have 2 tests left so I’ll either no use. Or use one a week or something. I’m guessing at this stage if I had a mc the sign would be bleeding. I’ll feel better when I have my first scan a week on Friday if all ok

I've told one friend who knew I was trying. Nobody else. My mum behaved terribly last time I told her (tried blackmailing and forcing me to tell other family members when I was only about 5 weeks) so we are waiting until we have a scan to tell anyone.

We told our parents as we were staying with mine over Christmas and they would have noticed if I wasn't drinking, I'm.also really close to my Mum, so tell her everything and wasn't fair to tell them and not DH's. They'll keep it quiet though, they did last time, also told three of my best friends (one being a couple) as if anything goes wrong they'd be the first persons I'd message, also the couple were about to get rid of the lovely cot bed I'd given them so would be good to get that back 😊

@girafferafferaffe there is something about mums and telling everyone isn't there! With my sister, my mum took it upon herself to be the news reporter for everything about the pregnancy, drove her mad. I have told some close friends, but I am not telling my parents until after 12 weeks, or when we receive the genetic testing info. We are a little older and will get it checked, but my mum is quite religious and I don't think would understand if we didn't go through with it, whereas my friends would. To each their own and all that, but I wouldn't want another layer of guilt.

@madeleine85 yeah my mum lost her mind a bit. She's usually not like that but she wanted to tell my uncle and cousins etc and I was like no! What if something goes wrong? And she cried and screamed and it was awful. So now I don't trust her to not cause a massive scene again. She had a go at me about dd's name as well so I'm just going to keep her at arms length a little bit this time.

Yeah I haven't told anyone yet apart from my partner obv but I just know it's going to feel like forever!! I've booked a private scan in for 9 weeks so I think I'll tell some close family then but just don't know if I can trust some people not to tell others but I want to be the one to give the news!

@arianasky With my CP I had implantation bleeding from 6-8 days post 5 day transfer (that would be equivalent of about 12-14 dpo)..my official testing date for clinic was 10 days post, at which I had clear lines on FRER but weren't getting stronger and beta hgc was only 24. When my bloods were repeated 3 days later I still got a positive FRER but my blood HCG was only 5. I was on progesterone suppositories which has same side effects as pregnancy (sore boobs, cramping) but basically I felt normal during the CP (emotional, and tired, but not pregnant).

@MOLWI Not telling anyone for quite some time, at least not until 12 weeks and probably not until I start showing. I'd rather know things are definitely going ok before people know.

@arianasky that should say officla testing was 10 days post transfer which is equivalent of about 16dpo I think

@arianasky My CB digital also came back "not pregnant" my official testing date for clinic even though I had a line of FRER (the FRER really are super sensitive).

@2mumlife thank you! I've had pains in my breasts for a while like a stabbing that comes and goes, I've had slight nausea on and off, a few spots on my chin, lower back pain and diarrhoea ( TMI sorry ) and a weird smell/taste that I had last time I was pregnant which is like a burning weird taste 🤮 I've had no bleeding as of yet 🤞🏻 I'm hoping and praying but what will be will be I guess 😞

I think I'll end up going down the torturing route myself and test more than I should!

That interesting to hear about the weeks indicator, that's so true it could end up making me a bit paranoid. I would be expecting it to say 2-3 weeks from tomorrow or Wednesday.. I'll be so nervous waiting to see!

So if we had a text saying 1-2 and then do another which says 2-3 weeks would that confirm everything progressing as it should be?

I'm getting myself so stressed out not being able to know and want to try reassure myself however possible

I am not telling anyone before I get back the genetic test results. Although, I think a friend already suspects because I wasn't drinking on new year's Eve. I am sure I'll show before the 12 weeks like my first one, and my colleagues will know.

Ideally I would like to tell my DD first, once all scans and tests are clear. Our parents are abroad so it will be easy to hide it. My mum kept sharing the news with my first pregnancy which annoyed me and kept asking me if I am in labour every day since week 37-38 (I gave birth one day before my due date). I am not telling her the exact due date! I can't go through this again!
