@Pandamama88 congratulations on your little girl!! How wonderful! I think I'm having a girl too, we won't find out until 20 week scan though.

@Dogmum5 So sorry to hear about the spotting, how far along are you? I've had lots of spotting this pregnancy and I know that horrible feeling when you find it. Hopefully it's stops soon but get a reassurance scan of you need to xx

@jennixxx I'm so sorry to hear what you've been through at such a young age, you shouldn't have had to experience that. I think you're gonna be an amazing mum just by reading what you've written I can tell how much you care for your baby already. Where are you based? Definitely find out what the council offer support wise x

@PeeAche really hope you got to A&E this morning and that they are taking good care of you, I've heard kidney infections are very painful Sad

@DaimDillyDoo So pleased to hear your stepdaughter was delighted, so lovely!

jennixxx · 05/12/2021 14:02

@Prema112 im in fife scotland and yeah i have alot of support from a few organisations such as womens aid and the council are giving me financial support and i also have nurses who come to my home to check up on me and help me out with things so thats really good !
Thank you Grin

Rolledthedice · 05/12/2021 14:50

@jennixxx That’s such a lot to have gone through so early in life, I’m so sorry. Well done for getting yourself out of the situation, it must have been incredibly hard and takes real strength of character - your baby will know what a strong mum they have! I’d echo all the advice others have given, use all the local support you can find - it’s great that you have support from the council and nurses visiting, let them know when you are struggling as they are on hand to help. Just know that you are already doing all the right things for yourself and your baby! You will be a wonderful mum and we are all here to support you from afar! :)

Unarosaes · 05/12/2021 15:38

@jennixxx I just wanted to echo what everyone has already said. The fact that you were able to get out of that horrible situation and get support through a range of sources already means you're doing great as a mum. We're all just figuring it out as we go along.

@Pandamama88 how exciting to know the gender for sure already!

@PeeAche I hope you're feeling better

@Dogmum5 all my fingers crossed it is nothing serious

Hi everyone, wow thread 5!!! Got my scan in the morning, I’m so nervous as I had bad news at a scan in my last pregnancy. Fingers crossed this one will be more positive xxx

jennixxx · 05/12/2021 17:57

@HWka wishing you luck for your scan, praying babys happy n healthy😁😊

beansprout55 · 05/12/2021 18:42

@HWka me too!! 11 week scan tomorrow and so anxious. Imagining the worst obviously!x

LM42 · 05/12/2021 19:48

Hi All,

First time poster here I had my 12 weeks scan at 11+5 on Friday.
Slightly worried due to babies position they couldn't get the NT measurement has anyone got any advice?

The sonographer report did say fluid was normal around baby.

Worries my babies face looks slightly flat on the scan although May just be because he/she was moving round.

Thanks Smile

Clomid1 · 05/12/2021 19:52

@LM42 Have they told you to come in for a rescan? If not I would personally do an NIPT because at 16 weeks they’ll just check for downs, they won’t check for the other two.
NIPT privately where I am costs around £400 though so its quite expensive.

Speccybibliophile · 05/12/2021 20:31

Hello everyone,

Very happy to join this thread. I've been dipping in and out but was nervous to join til I'd had my dating scan earlier this week. I'm 13 weeks due 9th June.

Please don't think I'm rude if I take s while to reply. I'm on a phased return to work following horrendous hyperemesis which is mostly under control now.

Just wanted to say what a lovely group this is for anyone who needs support and anyone with lovely exciting news too!

Prema112 · 05/12/2021 21:44

@HWka & @beansprout55 Good luck with your scans tmw! Bean sprout, did your spotting stop? X

beansprout55 · 05/12/2021 22:15

@Prema112 yes! Thanks to God! That random day of spotting last week didn't get any worse, so other than that one day I've been 2 weeks without any now. So anxious that tomorrow I'll have bad news. Can't help think it! 😣 x

BunBun221 · 06/12/2021 00:35

Hi all! New here, been thinking of posting for a while after keeping up with everyone's posts and thought it was time to introduce myself!

I'm 11 weeks tomorrow, due June 28th and had 2 early private scans (1 at 7 weeks 1 at 9 weeks) - very anxious. Never been pregnant before but my sister has unfortunately had recurrent miscarriages so I'm on edge.

NHS dating scan isn't until 13 weeks and we've decided to hold off on another scan until then to hopefully calm my nerves a bit!

What has been your weirdest pregnancy symptom so far? Mine has been sneezing! Especially in the first few weeks - it was non stop and my colleagues are currently convinced that I have the worlds longest cold!

Starbeach · 06/12/2021 04:12

I wish I knew too it’s awful

Starbeach · 06/12/2021 04:21

@rathernotshare I have my fingers and toes crossed for you

@czycoup I can’t deal with this Hg anymore either

As you do at this time of the morning We have our scan at 9 and I can’t sleep. I’m petrified this HG is going to be vain. I cannot go through with this sickness again if it’s bad news

CurryandSnuggle · 06/12/2021 07:24

@PeeAche sorry to read you are in pain, I hope you’ve been seen, sounds awful.. thinking of you Flowers

@Pandamama88 Congratulations on your little girl 😍 how come you’re feeling fragile? Xx

@HWka wishing you the best of luck xx

@Speccybibliophile welcome and I’m so sorry to read about your horrendous HG. How are you doing now? Xx

@beansprout55 I know how worrying spotting can be but it’s very common and in the vast majority of cases, nothing to worry about. However I’m not sure anything anyone says will stop you thinking this before your scan. Wishing you good luck xx

@BunBun221 sorry to read about your sister. I’m really hopeful that things will be different for you. Remember that as far as you know this baby is healthy, try to remain positive xx

Dogmum5 · 06/12/2021 07:50

@Prema112 im 11+3. Woken up with lower tummy pain just feels like heaps of pressure on my knicker line. Hate not knowing whats normal or something to worry about

Pandamama88 · 06/12/2021 08:14

@CurryandSnuggle The reason I'm feeling fragile isn't really pregnancy related. I've been really depressed as I have a really spiteful half sister who has spent the last 2 years trying to ruin my life any way she possibly can. It's all indirect and sneaky and hard to prove. I just feel like there's nothing I can do about it and people won't believe me because it's so subtle.

CurryandSnuggle · 06/12/2021 08:21

@Pandamama88 is there any way you can cut her out from your life?

HWka · 06/12/2021 08:22

Thanks everyone good luck @beansprout55 lotsa love xxxxx

Turniptracker · 06/12/2021 08:33

@BunBun221 I also had sneezing and a constant runny nose! Turns out pregnancy has its own form of rhinitis. Its like having constant hayfever. I can't wear my contact lenses either anymore as it stings my eyes too much

Pandamama88 · 06/12/2021 08:38

@Curryandsnuggle I haven't had direct contact with her for 4 years. Problem is she is going after people and poisoning them against me. I was bullied out of my job last year because she contacted one of my work colleagues and spread a really savage false rumour about me that is impossible to disprove apart from my word. But she has done her absolute best to label me a liar. I lost some really good friends because of it and I no longer speak to any of my siblings. All I have is my husband and a handful of people she hasn't managed to get to. I feel really isolated and like there's nothing I can do.

Pandamama88 · 06/12/2021 08:41

@CurryandSnuggle it's been really hard to feel optimistic about the future and enjoy my pregnancy with all that going on.

BunBun221 · 06/12/2021 09:35

@CurryandSnuggle thanks! I'm definitely trying!

@Turniptracker - OMG the sneezing drove me up the wall! Its actually what prompted me to test in the first place as I was getting into sneezing fits of 10-15 every 10 minutes and they were FULL body sneezes! I'd been saying to my friend for a week that I didn't understand how I suddenly became allergic to something and that every sneeze felt like a full body workout! After lots of scouring on the Internet someone on a forum somewhere suggested to another lady in a similar position to take a PG test and here we are :)
