No way I would let them come to my house. Situation is stressful enough knowing that this variant is so contagious, no need to add more stress inviting the virus to my house 😅 I think your DH should understand that we are on the middle of a covid wave and that means we need to be flexible about our plans. Last Christmas I had dinner via Skype with my family. Not the best plan but it was the best we could do back in that time.

DH has agreed to us going over there in our thermals on Christmas morning to open presents in their garden. 🥶 Then I'll drop off 3 dinners at lunch time.

Was a massive argument though.

A victory for common sense. Honestly.

@Matilda30 My little boy is 5, will be 6 when baby comes. Not the gap we would have chosen but there are some advantages

Also experiencing some middle of the night wakes. So annoying. Trying to get over a cold too, so I’d just like to be able to sleep.

Another member of the waking through the night club! The most annoying is when I wake at 4am, I find it so hard to get back to sleep after that. There is also no obvious reason why I've woken up. Ever since I found out at 4 weeks I've been unable to sleep on my stomach so I wonder if it's all a sleep position thing? Need to invest in a pregnancy pillow!!

@blueberryy oooh yay! My official is June 18th but by ovulation is June 20th so about the same time! Are you a Brit in Canada?

@Matilda30 Argh sorry to hear you've been awake in the night. Not fun at all. Miraculously I slept through last night (even though I napped yesterday) but I've woken up with pretty bad shoulder pain. We're at my parents so I suppose a new bed and not being able to lie on my back are to blame. I MISS sleeping on my back so much!!!

@MrsTwentyNine I've been having headaches for a week now! After a fairly symptomless first trimester to feel your pain. I'm 13 weeks tomorrow and have read it's normal (everything seems to come up as normal annoyingly!!!)

I had really bad nausea/ vomiting up until now but that has now gone thankfully. Maybe the headache will be temporary 🤞🏽 Not sure what I would rather have!

It's anyone else incredibly itchy?!!! My back is driving me mad!

Had a gender reveal scan yesterday, they even gave us a 4d sneak peak! We could see their arms bent by their heads, proper chilling. So glad to see they are well, despite all my anxiety at the moment!!

13+2 week scan at 4pm today. Last scan was at 11 weeks and was Ok, but as most of you know I've been spotting throughout the entire pregnancy and it hasn't slowed down. I'm more than terrified (is that a thing?) I feel so so sick urgh. I almost don't want to go as if I had bad news days before Christmas I'm not sure I'll cope! Trying to think positive thoughts only but so so hard not to imagine bad ones. 😢😢 so hard to concentrate at work.

@beansprout55 in all likelihood, you will see your little one quite happy in its bubble. But the wait is horrible. I found my anxiety calmed a bit after my 12 week scan - hopefully the same will happen for you. At this point, it's far more likely baby is fine. Hang on in there!

Had my 16w appointment this morning and heard baby's heartbeat for the first time! Such a huge relief. Had to hobble to my appointment mind!

@rathernotshare such great news that the op went well and that the baby is ok. It must be such a huge weight lifted off your chest. I hope you feel more related and can enjoy Christmas fully

@MrsTwentyNine i feel you with the headaches. It just started a few weeks ago for me (currently 15+2) and I can only keep them at bay if I drink water all the time.

@Prema112 how do you manage to stay on your side? I keep waking up on my back! And it's really annoying because I never used to sleep on my back until a year so or so. Was thinking maybe a pregnancy pillow may help?

How is everyone's abdomen/pelvis?

The last two days I've had a lot of pain in my lower abdomen. Feels like period cramp so guessing it's stretching and stuff. It's really sore though.

Also some pain when I pee - Abdomen pain - not UTI pain!

Feeling non pregnant as always. No symptoms at all as usual. 31st January is my 20 weeks scan.
