Has anyone had any worrying side effects after their booster? I had mine earlier this evening and have had a few painful sharp cramps/stabbing pain on my lower right side since. Trying to convince myself I'm just being a bit of a hypochondriac!!

Flowerbug1994 · 18/12/2021 22:07

@mrkb I wouldn’t worry to much I had my booster on Wednesday gone and I’ve been for a private gender scan today and all looks fab xx

BunBun221 · 18/12/2021 22:09

@mrkb I also had my booster today. I've also had cramping and twinges but to be honest I've had them all week so I'm certain they're not jab related!

PurpleMoon12 · 18/12/2021 22:11

So i very nearly fainted tonight for the first time ever in my life. I was in town and suddenly started with flashing lights in my eyes, muffled hearing and it obviously then made my heart race and I thought i was going to drop. I had to rush somewhere to sit down immediately (nearly just sat on the floor), but once sat down for 5 mins I felt fine. But at the time it was the scariest thing in the world! I'm buying a blood pressure monitor first thing in the morning. The muffled hearing would suggest high blood pressure to me, but the faint feeling would suggest low? But i am completely clueless on this as its never happened to me before now.

Has anyone had this during pregancy/got any tips? :(

mrkb · 18/12/2021 22:17

@Flowerbug1994 @BunBun221 thanks both! Needed some logical thinking SmileI've def had this before so I know I'm being silly - just a bit more noticeable right now!

Fairy45 · 18/12/2021 22:26

@purplemoon12 I had this on Thursday but at work. In a room full of 100 15 year olds. Had been stood for about 30 minutes and went really hot and clammy and the room started spinning. Like you I managed to leave the room and sit down but I couldn't move for quite a while. I agree was quite a scary experience but I didn't follow it up with anyone. Hopefully a one off for us both.

PurpleMoon12 · 18/12/2021 22:34

@Fairy45 so sorry to hear it happened to you at work! But like you say, its hopefully a one off. Its just the worst feeling, and the panic that comes with it is awful.
I have my 16 week appointment next week, so I'll mention it while I'm there and post an update afterwards

BunBun221 · 18/12/2021 22:56

@mrkb honestly the only thing I'd be worried about is a fever caused by potential flu like symptoms Smile

MrsNT · 19/12/2021 04:43

When do we start to feel baby moving or is it too soon

sunflower198 · 19/12/2021 05:47

@MrsNT

When do we start to feel baby moving or is it too soon
This is my 2nd so may be different with a 1st, but I've started feeling things this past week (nearly 16 weeks now). It started like I was being tickled with a feather from inside (exact same feeling last time!) and I definitely feel like I can sometimes feel it moving around now (especially after my cup of tea!)
Lostintranslatio · 19/12/2021 07:34

Hi all!! I've been posting in the post for July as my EDD is 29th of June and I always heard that first babies usually come later. However, I had two private scans and I was told in both that I might be a few days ahead, so I guess my EDD might change on Tuesday when I have my 12 weeks scan.

Regarding my appointment on Tuesday, I guess I'll get bloods taken and a scan ( I'm based in IE), do I need to fast for the bloods?

Thanks!

fpeg · 19/12/2021 07:44

@Lostintranslatio good luck with the scan, it'll be nice for you to get your date :-). You don't need to fast for the bloods so don't worry about that.

First time posting here, I'm 16+4 today, 1st baby, had my 16 wk appointment on Tuesday and was just fab to hear that heartbeat again!

Felt my first fluttering 2 days ago and have felt more since, it's just so amazing!

Prema112 · 19/12/2021 07:55

@fpeg Yay I have a due date buddy!! Welcome! I've been feeling baby moving for 2 weeks, for me it felt like twitches in my pelvis at first and now it's moved up and I sometimes get little pops which I suppose are tiny kicks! Love it! Although it's also a new thing to worry about if I haven't felt anything for a while!

Lostintranslatio · 19/12/2021 08:08

@fepg thanks a million! Not going to lie, I'm a bit nervous about the scan 😅😅 Can't wait!

Prema112 · 19/12/2021 08:55

@PurpleMoon12 & @Fairy45 so sorry to hear about your almost fainting episodes that must have been scary. I think it can be to do with lower blood pressure, we just need to take more breaks and sit down when we need. This isn't the same as fainting but I wrapped lots of presents the other night which involved a lot of stretching, reaching and lifting and I had really bad round ligament pains by the end, basically crawled into bed. They were better next morning but it taught me I need to rest more and not push my body

unknownscot · 19/12/2021 09:04

@GrowBabyGrow

I had my booster on the 9th so will have full protection.
I'm swaying towards going to the ceremony then leaving.

Kind of hoping lockdown announcement and it's postponed 😕

GrowBabyGrow · 19/12/2021 09:21

@Prema112 @Lostintranslatio I'm the 29th too! My scan is on Tuesday as well so might change. I'm so nervous about the scan, keep having nightmares that I've had a mmc Sad

@unknownscot to be honest I think that is what I would do too. I know the reception is the fun celebration bit but the ceremony is the most important part of the wedding - when they actually get married! I hope it is a lovely ceremony and you feel safe and not at risk!

PurpleMoon12 · 19/12/2021 09:24

@Prema112 pregnancy really takes its toll on us. More rest is always great advice! We definitely deserve it

Lostintranslatio · 19/12/2021 09:29

@GrowBabyGrow I can relate! Even though I had two good previous scans and NIPT test came back with great results, and I still have lots of symptoms, I'm very nervous about Tuesday appointment (previous MMC).
