All's well! Baby is 12w 4, and posed beautifully for the scan. I'm so relieved. Due date of 25th June.

Thank you all for your encouragement and prayers. Here's to the second trimester!

Vimto1991 · 15/12/2021 12:12

@HWka oh no!! Wishing you a speedy recovery and fingers crossed it doesn’t bog you down badly. Atleast you will be able to see people Christmas Day as it’s only ten days isolation from positive test, right?

@RoseValleyRambles
Congrats!! That’s fantastic news :) you must be over the moon!

Pandamama88 · 15/12/2021 12:22

@HWka Ohno! I'm so sorry to hear that! How are you feeling? Have you had your vaccines? Hopefully just a mild infection?

Flowerbug1994 · 15/12/2021 12:34

@HWka so sorry to hear this hope your ok. Try to get lots of rest and fluids in you and look at the positive in this the outcomes from evidence are a lot better in the second trimester than the third and this way now you and baby will have good immunity and anti bodies to get your through until June xxx

GabsK92 · 15/12/2021 13:36

Hi all

Just got the heartbreaking news on our first scan that I've got a missed miscarriage. I am going to sign off this chat but wishing you all the very best in your pregnancies. I pray that I can join you in a healthy pregnancy in the future. x

DaimDillyDoo · 15/12/2021 13:58

Hey - haven't been back on this thread for a couple of weeks. How is everyone? I'm 16 weeks and have a private gender scan on Saturday - looking forward to that. We told our parents, they were over the moon :)

I am still massively struggling with constipation so called the GP and they've prescribed some sachets you mix with a drink plus some acid reflux tablets. I was on the toilet trying to poo whilst being sick into a bucket with pure acid coming up last night. So very glam of me Grin

@GabsK92 I've just saw your post and I'm so, so sorry. I can't imagine the pain. Please look after yourself and believe that you will have a healthy pregnancy in future Flowers

CurryandSnuggle · 15/12/2021 14:08

@GabsK92 I’m so sorry, thinking of you at this difficult time, be kind to yourself and take as much time off work as you need Flowers

CurryandSnuggle · 15/12/2021 14:09

@HWka oh no! Sorry to read that. Wishing you a speedy recovery! Xx

HWka · 15/12/2021 14:47

@GabsK92 so so sorry to hear this awful news. It happened to me in July, sending you lots of love.

Thanks everyone I don’t feel too bad I was really poorly with a fever on Monday but the past two days I’ve felt much milder so don’t think it’s a bad case (fingers crossed).
The midwife said she’d check my notes and ring me if I needed blood thinners but not heard anything yet so maybe not needed. Yes I’m free on 23rd thankfully! I’m just hoping my partner doesn’t catch it in the next few days and end up isolating over Christmas! I’m trying to convince him to move out for the week!!!

destiEos · 15/12/2021 15:49

@GabsK92 I'm so sorry. Thinking of you 🙏🏼

@HWka also sorry to hear you've got covid, hopefully it's mild and fine by Xmas 🤞🏻

Prema112 · 15/12/2021 16:56

@GabsK92 So sorry to hear your sad news. Thinking of you, take care of yourself and take all the time you need.

Prema112 · 15/12/2021 16:59

I've just had my 16 week midwife appointment. It was all fine, listened to the baby's sweet little heart thumping away Smile The next midwife appointment isn't until 28 weeks which just seems like a millennia away! And my next scan isn't for another 5 weeks, not sure how I'm gonna manage so long with no checks, they've been 2 weekly until now!

Prema112 · 15/12/2021 17:13

@RoseValleyRambles so pleased to hear all is well!!

4thtimethecharm · 15/12/2021 19:19

@GabsK92, I am so very sorry to hear that. I am wishing you and your partner lots of strength xx

rathernotshare · 15/12/2021 19:40

My operation was meant to be tomorrow but it's been cancelled 'due to covid' ... now booked in for Monday morning x

RoseValleyRambles · 15/12/2021 22:33

@gabsk92 I'm so sorry, that must have been awful to hear.

RoseValleyRambles · 15/12/2021 22:34

@rathernotshare That's so frustrating. :(

TTCjourney2021 · 16/12/2021 08:43

I can finally join the scan club ❤️❤️ hope everybody is doing ok! Really sorry to anybody going through an awful time! Xx

So I've been reading the forum for a while and came to the conclusion the twinges I occasionally get are the infamous 'Round Ligament Pain' - but waking up this morning I felt a gentle (but pretty firm stabbing) when I got out of bed to pee for the 3rd time in the night. After the initial panic and Google I then came to the realisation that THIS is what round ligament pain feels like!

Upsydasiy · 16/12/2021 10:26

Hello

Can I join please?
I’m due at the end of June. Currently struggling with anxiety as we lost our little girl due to T18 in august. Had a scan this week which looked good but anxiously awaiting my screening results 🤞🤞

Vimto1991 · 16/12/2021 11:37

Just had my booster, the lady the administered it was pretty much like it’d be really bad if you didn’t take this jab, but also I can’t tell you if anything bad will happen if you do.

Thanks. 😩

@BunBun221
I can get it by moving too quick, sneezing is the worst! Like a sharp stabbing pain in the pelvis 🙈

CurryandSnuggle · 16/12/2021 12:16

Lol that’s how I feel about the jab.. between a rock and a hard place! @Vimto1991

I don’t think I will have my booster, I’m double jabbed anyway and I work from home. I’m just worried as I had a bad fever and vomiting after my second Pfizer

Flowerbug1994 · 16/12/2021 12:32

If it makes anyone feel better I had Pfizer jab yesterday no side effects other than a sore arm feel exactly the same as I did before it. I had previously had 2 Oxford jabs and for no side effects off them either.

Vimto1991 · 16/12/2021 13:06

@CurryandSnuggle I WFH but DH is a manager at Tesco so I have the risk of him bringing something home unfortunately 😩 if you feel safe enough it’s definitely your choice!

@Flowerbug1994
The last two Pfizer jabs I had I had a sore arm (second jab knocked me about a bit), I don’t even have a sore arm yet which is surprising! Head feels a bit achey but that’s about it and I hope it stays like that. 🙈

Prema112 · 16/12/2021 13:09

@rathernotshare Sorry to hear your op was postponed that's frustrating.

@Upsydasiy So sorry to hear about your daughter, how heartbreaking. Welcome to the group and wishing you all the luck for your baby

Ladies, anyone measure their heart rate at all? I'm concerned that my resting hr is pretty high, it was high 70's low 80's in first trimester and now it's high 80's low 90's! Midwife said yes it's high and to keep an eye on it... 🙄 What are others resting heart rates?
