@Flowerbug1994 I'm due the day before you! I'm out doing some Christmas shopping today, and I've allowed myself to buy one baby thing if i see something i love while I'm out. I'm then not allowing myself anything else until the 20 week scan

@PeeAche I didn't realise it wasn't automatic! I had mine through the post about a week or so after my booking appointment which was handy as I had quite a bad UTI which needed treatment and tomorrow I'm going to have to get a dentists appointment to look at my lips (looks like i might have a yeast infection in my mouth and lips caused by the pregnancy)

@Flowerbug1994 I won't be buying anything until the 20 week scan, I'm terrified! I am putting money away monthly though

@flowerbug1994 I've been in maternity leggings for the last fortnight, but a couple of large fibroids seem to mean I'm artificially ahead in the bump stakes... Under bump jeans also fit pretty well at this stage.

I had another bleed yesterday. Things it's probably a cervix prob, so not worrying too much, but really quite tired of the rollercoaster. 12 week scan on Wednesday, so don't have to wait long to check all's ok. Sigh.

@RoseValleyRambles same here. If it carries on for me I'm going to get a GP to check my cervix as EPAU refuse to. I want to know why I'm bleeding as no SCH or hematoma anywhere to be seen on the 5 scans I've had! I'm 12 weeks tomorrow. Next scan is on the 22 which feels ages away. Had your bleed showed up significantly smaller on your last scan?

@PeeAche I got my certificate after my booking appointment and I only got one via email (which is arguably handier as I always have it on my phone!). Def worth noting you need to mention you are pregnant and waiting for your certificate when you pick up prescriptions and they will complete a refund form for you which you have 3 months to use to get a refund

@beansprout55 yes, no hematoma, just an area of potential bleed/irritation by cervix. I'm getting a bit tried of 'maybes' and just want to see a consultant who can tell me what's actually going on at this stage. But maybe that's too much to ask. Will definitely be requesting it at my next appt.

I'm 12+2 and constantly living in leggings at the moment! I bought a pair of river island maternity jeans which fit nice it's just they're over the bump so I've not worn them just yet but I'm glad to have a pair of jeans again!

Had a little cry this morning as I've been in some pain like a constant strong period pain for a couple of days. Managing to pick up the heatbeat on my doppler so it's easing my anxiety and my dating scan is at 8:30 in the morning so maybe I'm just emotional and overthinking it!

I dont think I'll be buying anything for a while. I'll start around 24-28 weeks. Probably started straight away with my DD and ended with so much and most of it was rediculous and not used at all.

When can you start using a Doppler from I’ve been looking at getting one ? Been suffering from getting quite out of breath this morning just while doing my normal chores so lots of rest this afternoon and a film I think.

It must be so frustrating to be bleeding with no answers @RoseValleyRambles and @beansprout55. I was speaking to a friend the other day who is due in Feb, she had bleeding throughout her first trimester and said they would literally just check that baby was okay and never give her any answers about the bleeding. Everything is going smoothly now and her second trimester was much calmer. Fingers crossed for the same for you both!

I've not worn jeans or trousers that button up for weeks! I'm 13 weeks today. They will do up but I just find them really uncomfortable. I have worn some maternity jeans already and really enjoying the comfort.

Find it so funny the interest (including my own) in boy or girl! I didn't think I would care or think much about it. We aren't going to find out but I still wonder all the time and am so curious. A colleague of mine told me we would have a boy the other day and she said that she's never been wrong so far. Also a boy by @PeeAche's game but I thought the nub looked more like a girl!

Is anyone feeling more tired in their 13th week? I was told tiredness improves but it's gotten unbelievably harder in this week! I cannot even function by afternoon...

WEIRD symptom that I didn't even know was one until I noticed it and became horrified - having since googled I have discovered it's common..... HAIRY BELLY 😢
I looked down the other day to discover all my white fine hairs all over my belly are much darker and a line of even darker hair from boobs to pelvis has developed. It's so horrible for me as I'm addicted to my laser so generally have no hair from my eyebrows down. Anyone else have this so early on? Apparently it's the increase in estrogen.

YES BELLY HAIR! I was shocked the other day and took tweezers to it. Not acceptable. :D

@MrsTwentyNine I am absolutely shattered at the moment, more so than earlier in the first trimester. I'm just about 13 weeks so I was hoping it would start to pass in the coming days. To be fair it's coming towards the end of term and I've fallen behind this term with everything else going on so I think I'd usually be feeling pretty tired and stressed in this situation anyway!

I haven't noticed any more hair yet but my nipples are bigger and darker and my boobs have grown so much. I'm feeling a bit low about gaining weight as I'm mainly feeling quite food averse and not eating loads so not sure where it's coming from! Still fit in my jeans - definitely not my bras - but have somehow gained like 6kgs!? My BMI is already in the obese range and I'm worrying about that - I'm a bloody size 12 and I know BMI is a bad measure for women but it's the measure they use. I'm not sure how to let go of it or stop feeling so rubbish about it.

@MrsTwentyNine yes! I’m now 14+1 and this last week I’ve napped A LOT! I’ve definitely noticed I’m more tired so you’re not alone there. I’ve noticed nausea is slowlyyyyy starting to get a little bit better.

And also yes to the hairy belly, lol!

@beansprout55 Yes!!! Hairy belly and also random dark hairs appearing in random places like near my collar bone and on my neck!! My OH is taking great pleasure at plucking them out for me as I get cross eyed trying to find them in the mirror!!

I'm 12+4 and this is the most tired I've been too.

So so so so dizzy too! It's horrible.

Hi, newbie here (well for this pregnancy). I have a 6yo boy and due on 21/6 I think- will find out for sure on Weds at my scan!

@unknownscot @Seabreeze2 ohh not just me!! I'm just baffled that it's happening now when everyone kept telling me second trimester is the best 🤣 I'm also more spotty now ...though fingers crossed nausea does seem to be getting better like you !! 🤞🏽🤞🏽

Also agree re:BMI but my BMI is 32 and I'm a size 14 and now almost 16 so definitely need to be worried :( I'm also panicking about gestational diabetes but not that I've been watching what I eat at all with all the nausea I've had!

@MrsTwentyNine it's so shit isn't it, some days I've barely eaten and other days I've eaten more normally and other days I'm constantly snacking. I feel like that's normal but feel bad about it because I'm worried about my weight.

I've been playing hockey too but they say to stop at 12 weeks so just down to daily dog walks now for exercise and missing the endorphin boost already. I'd love to be able to just go with what my body is telling me and stop worrying about weight and BMI! Going to try some pregnancy yoga in the hope I can start to focus on the good, strong things about my body, not just beating myself up! Is there anything that's helped you feel better about it in the past?

I am also concerned about my qeight gain. I have been eating quite horrendously but unfortunately it's been the only thing that makes the nausea better. I just jumped on the scales and let's say I wished I had done it in the morning. Maybe the shock would have been less...

Just seeing if anyone's had their cervix checked after bleeding/spotting and whether they got any answers? My obstetrician is offering to do a cervix check for me but so far I've said no as I don't want extra poking in there (am already doing weekly scans).
But then I thought well maybe it'll point out the reason for my bleeding..? I'm not sure.

@beansprout55 and @RoseValleyRambles oh my lovelies.. sorry to hear you're still on a roller coaster of spotting/bleeding, I'm the same. Had spotting the other day and had that sinking feeling like I've been hit by a car - Urgh when will it stop! X

@laurenGame how far along are you now? I'm 12 weeks today.
Woke up to pink pink spotting after my wee and really don't want to go to work 😣
I believe @Prema112 had hers checked - they haven't offered it to me yet despite me asking!
