I had my dating appt today and strangely midwife didn’t take bloods or urine sample.. I thought they did? Now eagerly awaiting my 12 week scan date in the post, 10+1 today. Haven’t had an early scan so I hope all is okay with little blueberry ❤️.

Midwife also advised I’ll see a consultant and have additional growth scans due to my thyroid condition x

I know I shouldn't be admitting this but does any else watch eastenders!? Am I the only one cringing at how Chelsea portrays pregnancy, just mentions morning sickness every now and again lol

Also, learnt today just how much pregnancy is messing with my taste buds. Last year was hunting down white chocolate Terry's choccie oranges 🍊 this year Terry's seem to have changed the receipe, they taste horrid! This is one food aversion I never saw coming 😕

@Seabreeze2 At my booking appt they took my urine sample but I didn't have bloods done. They put some envelopes for them in my folder and told me to bring it to my 12 week scan and they'd do them there. Maybe you're the same? I'm still waiting for my scan date though-desperate for it to come through!!

@PeeAche I’m with you, I’ve peed myself a few times being sick. The strangest experience apparently our bladder muscles have gone weak with the hormones. Had to get the hubby to buy me some Tena ladies…he’s never fancied me more lol

Gosh my stomach feels so full these days, like there is no more space 😅.
We also have a Christmas party coming up. Really not sure what to do about it as I don't really want to tell work before January.

Does anyone else get this really weird feeling about telling their parents? I feel really cringe about it for some reason. I don't really know how to explain it apart from it just being awkward/cringe... which is a bit harsh because my mum and dad will be over the moon.

I can imagine my mum trying to touch my belly etc and it just makes me shudder!

I feel really mean writing that

@DaimDillyDoo you’re not alone, I got that feeling about telling my mum as well. No idea why. I think I liked it being my secret with no one else passing comment etc

Haven't had mine yet but it says full bladder in my letter.

I have my 12 week scan on Monday but haven't checked my letter to see if it says full bladder. Is anyone else having a NIPT? DP has Downs in his family so we're having a NIPT

We’re having the NIPT @DaimDillyDoo, want to know all the things so we can prepare! But NIPT also lets you know the gender in the UK I believe? Is that right? Not allowed to know gender till week 20 where I’m living.

@Wellthiswasunexpected yes you can find out the gender from 10 weeks! I'm having mine done on Monday. I'm in the UK so I can find out, not sure if I want to yet though.

I hate blood tests, I always bloody faint

@DaimDillyDoo me too!!! Blood tests are my biggest phobia. Will someone be free go with you in case you feel a bit wobbly? So exciting that it’s on Monday 😄

I really want my scan appointment letter to arrive! I feel like it's taking forever. Welcome to new people it's nice to have you all here to chat to. I'm into 11 weeks now and feeling quite tired most of the time. My appetite and nausea is all muddled, eating is getting confusing but fortunately I have not thrown up yet.

I took my folic acid at my "safe time" but vomited it up a few minutes later. (HG). Do I take it again? Or forget it for today?

Is anyone else finding it hard to take there vitamins? Im so nauseous and i do take them dailey but it makes me feel so ill!! Not sure why this is 🤨

I was reffered to the early pregnancy unit because i was in A&E and i had a scan when i was 9+2, baby had a strong heartbeat and everything looked good and im now 10+3 and i have a scan booked for the 8th of december i just wish it would hurry up im so impatient!🙈😂
