@Turniptracker , @3yearstrying and anyone else I’ve rudely missed, congratulations and lovely scan photos!

czycoup · 02/12/2021 17:01

I'm loving these scan pics!

@EarlGreywithLemon with my 1st I fell pregnant the very first time we tried but based on their dates I fell pregnant a few days before.

InvisibleDragon · 02/12/2021 17:10

It's so lovely to see everyone's scan pictures!

@brumbrum89 - hope you're feeling better soon!

@czycoup

I'm loving these scan pics!

@EarlGreywithLemon with my 1st I fell pregnant the very first time we tried but based on their dates I fell pregnant a few days before.

They dated me around 4 days earlier lol! Isnt it strange. I was doing opk's and temping so know when I ovulated. I'm wondering if it's because the baby implants earlier so starts growing sooner? Who knows lol!
EarlGreywithLemon · 02/12/2021 17:20

I’m not sure how the dating works either! Hey ho, all that matters is a healthy baby after all.
@brumbrum89 fingers crossed for a very speedy recovery!

Clomid1 · 02/12/2021 17:23

@EarlGreywithLemon yh she ended up getting it at 1.4mm. Hopefully if bloods also come back okay than thats all good.

She was in a mood right from the start. I am tempted to move hospitals because other than the midwives everyone else receptionists, sonographers are just so rude?!

I am really sad I am not measuring ahead I hope baby arrives slightly before due date.

Clomid1 · 02/12/2021 17:33

Anyone using cyclogest how long were you told to use it.

I had a private prescription to last me until 14 weeks. However they only had enough for 12 weeks so gave me an iou type of slip so I kept calling in to get cyclogest but it was always out of stock and now that slip has expired. I’ve now given the GP the letter from the private gynae to give me cyclogest but they have not approved it yet. I’ve only got enough to last me until tomorrow. What do I do if I can’t get cyclogest 🥺🥺🥺😭

PurpleMoon12 · 02/12/2021 17:35

Is anyone eating avocado whilst taking folic acid? I'm grabbing my chance while I actually fancy eating one, but don't want to overload the baby on folates (or is it not the same thing at all? 😂)

Prema112 · 02/12/2021 17:41

@Clomid1 I went from 2 a day to 1 a day from 12 weeks and stopped at 13 weeks. Apparently you don't actually need it past 8/9 week though anyway. I got withdrawal headaches just to warn you incase you do x

Prema112 · 02/12/2021 17:42

I was completely delighted to get off then to be honest!

DaimDillyDoo · 02/12/2021 17:42

Evening all... joining from the depths of dispair from the toilet, cannot move due to constipation (not HG this time).

My god it's horrendous.

Clomid1 · 02/12/2021 17:43

@Prema112 in that case I’ll do 1 a day and that would last me until monday and hopefully by then I get some more. Yh they leak too much don’t they

czycoup · 02/12/2021 17:46

@caz198917 yeah I think it just depends on how it grows. A previous pregnancy I had suggested I fell pregnant 8 days after we DTD and 5 days after my positive OPK.

This one seems about right based on OPKs. I've had quite a few scans so far and each one has given me a different due date. Looking forward to getting my official due date next week!

DaimDillyDoo · 02/12/2021 17:50

@EarlGreywithLemon I was measuring a week ahead at my scan, I'm certain of my date of conception so I'm just going with the amount of weeks pregnant I know I actually am lol

Turniptracker · 02/12/2021 17:55

@DaimDillyDoo I was you 4 days ago. It was no joke. I wish you the best of luck!

EarlGreywithLemon · 02/12/2021 17:57

@DaimDillyDoo I’m also going with what I know I am. I’m having a c section this time so the due date will matter a bit as they’ll pick the date of the op according to that. But I reckon three days either way shouldn’t make such a difference.
@Clomid1 that sounds like a really good measurement. What a Shane about the sonographers (and other staff). If you like the midwives though that’s probably the most important, as they’ll be doing most of your care.

EarlGreywithLemon · 02/12/2021 17:57

Ugh, awful typing. What a shame not what a Shane!!

DaimDillyDoo · 02/12/2021 18:03

@Turniptracker it's making me pour with sweat! Definitely ringing GP tomorrow!!

Journeylikenomother · 02/12/2021 18:48

@Clomid1 that's stressful about the cyclogest script. Surely if you explain at the pharmacy they'll understand? They at least will give you enough for a few until you get a new script.

I'm also on cyclogest until week 14 and one more week of prolutex injections (to week 12). Christmas is my week 14 so not having to do the bum bullets twice a day is my Christmas gift to myself 🙈

I got called for a consultant appt today. Been classed as high risk due to my previous EMCS being done at a very late stage of labour.
I have to have extra checks done at my 20 week scan and then they'll decide if extra monitoring is needed.
She was talking about the main aim is getting to 36 week. I was so unprepared for all this information and wasn't sure how to react!
Has anybody else here had a EMCS before?

I had a EMCS with my first. Pushing for hours and he got too distressed with dipping heart rate etc. So I would class that as late stage? Midwife already told me I'll be consultant led due to previous section. I haven't had my consultant appointment yet. Why are they concerned? Is it not long between the births? Are they concerned about scar rupture? Midwife told me this is really rare xx
Imhereforthecake · 02/12/2021 18:59

I can categorically say this does NOT taste like raspberries.

@Imhereforthecake isn’t it the most revolting stuff???

sunflower198 · 02/12/2021 19:23

@caz198917 I'm not sure, it'll be 3 years gap when I have this baby. She said they'd measure my cervix at my next scan and then take it from there as to whether anything needs to be done or not.
they are doing research into whether having a C-section late in labour increases the chances of a future baby being premature.
I asked her if I could have a c section this time around and she said yes I can request it at a later date, they just warn you about the usual potential issues.

How strange? I'll let you know what's been said when I have my consultant appointment. I was hoping for a VBAC and my midwife is supporting this. May I ask why you ended up with emergency c section? Xx
