Don't be silly @Elsols93!! How are you feeling this evening? I know you might not want to go by what I'm saying because of what's going on, but my symptoms are really on and off at the moment! I'm feeling cautiously optimistic because I got 3+ today but I know hcg levels can still rise. Just got to keep busy and wait and see! X

PleaseSendNoodles · 20/11/2021 00:25

Sorry. I’ve posted this in June, too. But… I think everyone is asleep. Not that any of you can do anything. But maybe hold my hand? I’m trying not to freak out but I haven’t had any bleeding previously… sorry for the TMI but I just had thick red-brown discharge. Like.. consistency of a paste? I don’t know what this means but now I’ve gone from finally chill to TERRIFIED. Has anyone else had this?

laurenGame · 20/11/2021 04:54

Hi @PleaseSendNoodles I'm here 💖 I don't know what my consistency was but mine was bright red and the baby is absolutely fine.
I almost feel like bleeding light in pregnancy should be more ... normalised?
I've since come across soo many women who have bled in pregnancy and have ended up with a healthy baby.

Hope you managed to get some sleep? How is the blood now? X

Rachae · 20/11/2021 07:27

Hey @PleaseSendNoodles I'm so sorry you've had this and you're worried. My understanding is that brown discharge is old blood and can form a little pool at your cervix just after conception... Or can be due to cervix irritation or blood escaping from your last menstrual period. Also, even if it does turn red it's super common in early pregnancy and doesn't always mean the worst. Especially if no cramping.

A few days ago I had some pink tinged discharge and then a bit of brown later that day. I went to the docs and they checked my cervix and said it's normal pregnancy spotting and cervix is closed. Maybe make an appointment with your GP today to do similar? Xxx

Elsols93 · 20/11/2021 08:28

@Cruz86 well iv asked for it this morning lol sickness with full force! I would rather that then the worry I suppose , how are you when is your next appointment xxx

Misty84 · 20/11/2021 08:29

Hope you are ok @PleaseSendNoodles xx

Elsols93 · 20/11/2021 08:30

@PleaseSendNoodles horrible to feel so alone and worried with things like this but light bleeding/discharge is really common in early pregnancy xxx

Effram · 20/11/2021 09:23

Found you all! Have been so poorly this week, just a cold but an absolute stinker. Been in bed where possible, but had my 1yr old off 2 days with me too. I've not managed to do any work! On the plus side this week has gone fast pregnancy wise... I've not thought about it at all while just trying to get through the days. now it's kicked in again... 2.5 weeks until scan and harmony test I hope that goes fast too!

Hope everyone is doing ok, going to try and catch up now! xx

Floslittlebean · 20/11/2021 09:39

@PleaseSendNoodles, I hope you are OK and got some reassurance and rest.

Is anyone POAS every 48 hours? I can't decide if it's helpful or if it'll just fuel my anxiety?

crazyhairbear · 20/11/2021 09:45

So glad I found this new post been staring at the old one wondering why everyone went quiet then I realised Grin

I know for me it would just make me really anxious so I won’t test again.

Elsols93 · 20/11/2021 09:55

I did @Floslittlebean the first week im sure I done around 12 tests lol but I stopped when I got 3+ on digital xx

Coco9910 · 20/11/2021 10:02

@Floslittlebean I got my first BFP on Monday and then did tests on Wednesday and Friday just to see it progressing and then I did a digital weeks one this morning and got 2-3 weeks so now I’m young to try (try being the key word 😂) and not test until next Saturday to see if I get 3+ on the digital.

@PleaseSendNoodles hope you’re okay! Someone I know bled daily for about the first two weeks of their pregnancy and that baby is now 4 so it can be perfectly normal 💕

Cruz86 · 20/11/2021 10:44

Haha always the way isn't it @Elsols93!! Yeah I'm doing okay thanks, just trying to stay positive. It's on Thursday.

@PleaseSendNoodles so sorry you're going through that. As others have said, bleeding is very normal in pregnancy but I can understand why that sort of consistency must have been scary. Is it still happening? Thinking of you.

Misty84 · 20/11/2021 10:53

@Floslittlebean I’m POAS every 24 hours!🤦‍♀️ I only found out on Weds so very much in dazed wonder that this has happened after 2.5 years. Maybe time to stop with that now?! I’ll probably get another digital to check the weeks have increased and then just leave it (she says!!)
And still taking my temperature every morning for reassurance.

purpleskyssssss · 20/11/2021 11:16

@PleaseSendNoodles hope you are ok and the bleeding has stopped! Like others have said it is normal throughout pregnancy although I know how I would be if I saw that :(

@Floslittlebean I stopped testing a week after I got my BFP, it was causing me too much anxiety, I have gave all my test and thermometer to my OH to hide from me & my midwife told me to also stop testing and taking temp as they are not accurate anyway so can cause unnecessary worry - but I think for some it really helps so suppose it depends how you manage it

Thenewgirl2468 · 20/11/2021 11:51

@Effram what did you take for your cold? I’ve been really poorly all week too - sore throat and awful cough. Trying all the natural remedy stuff but nothing really working

PleaseSendNoodles · 20/11/2021 14:06

Thanks everyone. You’re all so kind. I feel like an idiot for freaking out but I really wasn’t expecting it. And the consistency really weirded me out. Sorry, I realise that’s gross.

But anyway. Yes, it’s stopped for now! I need to stop obsessing over whether it’s started again. I figured I’ll hold off getting checked out unless it starts again and is red or I get bad cramps. My 12 week scan (I’ll be 11) is in 8 days so hopefully it’ll all be okay. Thanks again for being so wonderful x

MrsCtobe91 · 20/11/2021 15:58

@EMF89 Oooh a bump buddy, congratulations 😁. Hopefully your scan will give you some insight to when you conceived. Feels like so long to wait for our scan appt let alone the actual scan. The anxiety is quite something else isn't it, but iv found these threads help cause a lot of women are in the same boat. And you have to do what you know helps, even if that means taking lots of tests :) Xx

@PleaseSendNoodles my sister had bleeding on and off throughout the whole of her pregnancy, they couldn't find out why but she had a healthy baby boy in may. Finger's crossed for you everything is well. Xx

Elsols93 · 20/11/2021 16:04

@Cruz86 have everything crossed for you ❤️ Iv honestly had the worst day so far haven’t been able to move all day sickness nausea and headache x

Floslittlebean · 20/11/2021 22:26

Thank you @SamanthaVimes, @Coco9910 @Elsols93, @Misty84 and @purpleskyssssss

I think I need to stop too (hides face). I changed from using FRERs to cheapies this morning and it's still a good line but already I'm comparing to FRERs which I know is completely different. Was tempted to regularly test now I have the cheap ones but I'm not sure what it is achieving. I might also just wait for my 3+ digital on Wednesday/ Thursday Smile

Maybepossibly22 · 21/11/2021 02:24

Hi all, @PleaseSendNoodles glad to hear that your bleeding has stopped, how worrying for you Flowers

Has anyone had any experiences with twinges when standing up? I keep getting stabby pains in my groin when I stand up/cough - is this round ligament pain already? I didn’t have any symptoms until about 24 weeks with dd so I’m stressing over every little thing!

Elsols93 · 21/11/2021 06:11

@Maybepossibly22 yes I did I think a lot of us in this group did I was getting mine a lot towards the right hand side from 4wks to 6wks but gradually they have stopped now at 8wks. X

kelsn96 · 21/11/2021 08:04

@Maybepossibly22 @Elsols93 hi! I get a stitch like pain sometimes when I move or get up too fast. I have also been been getting pressure on and off n my lower abdomen and and ovary pains on and off. Not painful, but similar to ovulation ovary pain.

ChrissyAero · 21/11/2021 08:16

Hey everyone - my scan went well apart from finding a cyst on one of my ovaries - but I've heard that's pretty common? They didn't seem overly concerned.
I'm measuring a couple of days behind what I thought but the heartbeat was clear! 🤩
