@Firsttimemum38 you're welcome! It really is but it's great we've all got each other to speak to on here and share our worries. Also, try not to Google stuff, I learned the hard way as I would then stress over what I read! Xx

Firsttimemum38 · 01/01/2022 20:49

@Capricorn8990 yeah I googled a bit. Just trying to stay healthy and exercise and wait for the 12 week scan!

Laurajane1988 · 01/01/2022 23:00

Hello

Just found this forum after a bit of google searching to make me feel better, currently having a little pity party. I'm just over 13 weeks and suffering with tiredness, stomach cramps and bloating. I came down with a cold today and was told by the pharmacist i can only take paracetamol and honey and lemon hot water. I really can't believe we're not allowed throat losangers Shock.

It's been so lovely to read that I'm not alone with the feeling rubbish, not that I'd wish this on anyone!

Welcome and congrats! How strange, I was told I could take strepsils and they're the only thing that have saved me during this awful awful virus!
Laurajane1988 · 01/01/2022 23:19

Hi, i would kill for a strepsil right now :) i have a midwife appointment in a few weeks will have to ask, it's going to be a very long 6 months with only paracetamol otherwise haha

Lianna93 · 01/01/2022 23:50

@HopefulBeth Yeah I'm the 5th 🥰 Mines isn't until the 22nd - was only date DH & I could do together.
I'm so excited to find out what we're all having 😁 @annie1994 @Capricorn8990

@DrPrincessFluffyToYou I had no idea there was even such a thing, that's so exciting that you already know 😁 Can't wait to start buying things properly once I know 🙈😂 DH really wants a girl says the clothes are cuter 😂😂

Lianna93 · 01/01/2022 23:52

@Laurajane1988 Hi & welcome :) I had an awful cold very early stages with a horrendous cough - I took soothers to ease things & jakemens honey & lemon sweets - they helped!

Hope3821 · 01/01/2022 23:59

Hi @Firsttimemum38, sorry about what you're going through.

I totally understand about questioning symptoms. I mc at 10 weeks in January and am now 11+3. We had a reassurance scan at 8 weeks this time and all is healthy but I'm still finding it harder to accept this pregnancy as really real yet. My nausea & tiredness has worn off, still some food aversion and sore boobs. But still flip flopping between planning ahead and waiting for our booking scan. I literally feel my boobs for tenderness 20 times a day "just to check" haha! It's just a day at a time kind of game. My doc told me every single pregnancy is different and symptoms aren't a sign of anything at all, I just keep trying to think of that, keep breathing and take it a day at a time. Hope that helps.

DrPrincessFluffyToYou · 02/01/2022 08:15

@Lianna93 I was convinced I was having a boy so was very surprised to find she’s a girl! DH is slightly miffed to be outnumbered but obviously not too bothered as long as she’s healthy Smile

@Firsttimemum38 I was sure they’d say at my viability scan at 10 weeks that I’d made a mistake and never was pregnant! I’ve had very little fatigue and nausea - thrown up a handful of times but not nauseous in general IYSWIM? My sore boobs had also gone! However all was perfectly on track in the end and I was just over nervous!

Capricorn8990 · 02/01/2022 08:47

Hi all,

Can anyone see a second line?

Due July 2022 (thread 2)
Elsols93 · 02/01/2022 09:07

@Capricorn8990 no can’t see a second and it would be quite visible even if faint when I had last month the earliest one was visible to the eye xxx

Capricorn8990 · 02/01/2022 09:12

Thank you @Elsols93 I'm feeling so anxious and don't want to pass anything to anyone 😞 so I think I'm seeing things xx

Frankysworld90 · 02/01/2022 10:50

Hi All!
Hope everyone had a great New year!

I’m 10+1, struggling to sleep a whole night through with the anxiety of whether everything is ok with the baby!
I previously miscarried many years ago and I guess That’s really stuck in my head! First scan isn’t till 20th Jan when I’ll be nearly 13 weeks.
And first midwife appointment only 5 days before that!

Any suggestions on trying to relax more?

Hope everyone’s okay 😊

annie1994 · 02/01/2022 11:08

@Capricorn8990 I can’t see a second line and would take that as negative!

My DS had us up for FOUR hours last night, woke up crying at 11pm and didn’t get him back to sleep till gone 3am. Why am I doing this again 😅 what’s the age gap between everyone else’s children? My DS will be 1 year 10 months (22 months) when baby is due and I’m already stressing 😂

Capricorn8990 · 02/01/2022 11:30

@annie1994 thank you! ❤️ I'm such a flapper. I hate being like this 😞 x

SamanthaVimes · 02/01/2022 11:34

@annie1994 we had similar shenanigans last night. DD didn’t go to sleep at all until gone 12 and was up for ages in the night. She’ll be just 2 when the new one gets here.

I really hope she sleeps by then!

deliwoman1 · 02/01/2022 12:39

Hi everyone, congratulations on your pregnancies! I've posted before but it's been a while. I'm 14 weeks today (due 3rd July). Had scan at 11+2 and all was well then, plus I had a low risk result come back after Christmas for all three trisomies. Such a relief.

I'm still worried though! Probably because I had several mcs last year. My partner has been exposed to Covid (NYE), and though we're triple vaxxed I'm still a bit scared to test positive. Got a really busy January coming up and thanks to a stressful Christmas I just haven't had a proper break. Feel like hiding under the duvet right now.

Anyone else just a bit... overwhelmed?

deliwoman1 · 02/01/2022 12:40

@Capricorn8990 definitely negative. I've been scrutinising tests too so you're not alone. Reminds me of the bad old days staring at FRERs!

HatHatHat · 02/01/2022 14:13

Hi everyone happy new year! Can’t believe we’ll be having our babies this year ❤️

Just wondered if anyone had been experiencing any migraines?! I’m 11+6 and have had a rough time of it with nausea, insomnia, bloating, back pain, pelvic pain and extreme fatigue but four days ago, out of the blue I had the first migraine I’ve had in 20 years and they have been back every day since 😭 I feel ok in the morning but by mid afternoon they are warming up and I’ve been in bed in a dark room in a real tiz the last two nights, and I feel it coming on again now.

I thought I would be feeling better by now not worse!! Has anyone else experienced new migraines as a result of pregnancy? I’m at the end of my tether 😭

feliznavidad2 · 02/01/2022 14:22

You're not alone @Capricorn8990 I'm a flapper too, just got my Covid PCR result back as been feeling rough with v sore throat/bad tummy and it's negative 🤷‍♀️

AppleTree16 · 02/01/2022 14:37

@Capricorn8990

Hi all,

Can anyone see a second line?

I can see a very faint line. It looks like mine the day before it was a proper positive.
Gabs234 · 02/01/2022 15:31

@HatHatHat not migraines for me fortunately, but I've started getting on and off headaches in the last week odd.

Nausea has thankfully mostly subsided but still incredibly tired and heartburn is through the roof any time I lie down :( I'm 11+5, now anxiously awaiting my scan on the 8th Jan...

HatHatHat · 02/01/2022 15:37

So sorry you are feeling so rough too! Interesting about the headaches… I wonder why it is.

We’re so close date wise ❤️ All the best for your scan on the 8th! We have ours on the 10th.

Capricorn8990 · 02/01/2022 16:17

@feliznavidad2 it's so stressful isn't it 😞 I hate covid. Just wish it would disappear!! Hope you feel better soon x

Capricorn8990 · 02/01/2022 16:17

@AppleTree16 I will take another tomorrow and pray it's negative 🤞🏼 x
