Oh, and insomnia is back! Woke up at 4am, tried to force myself to go back to sleep but my lower back was aching too much. Finally got up at 5.30 to sit on a massage ball and do some stretching. I really hope this isn't it now! There's too long to go to be aching at night and sleeping poorly 😩Really going to try to do loads of mobility today, perhaps even some strength exercises to get my glutes to release a bit, they're tight as fuck and no doubt pulling everything out of alignment.

@fattycatty82 I was just wondering, are you in the FB group for older mums? I think I remember you mentioning your oldest is in her twenties? Sorry if that's weird, and I may have confused posters 😅

Welcome and congratulations @Crazymumofboys, best wishes for the rest of your pregnancy Smile

Honeymint · 13/01/2022 08:25

@GinnyBee Right?! I also find myself thinking ‘surely it won’t ache this much for the rest of the pregnancy?’ But I have a suspicion it will and worse 😩

@Jowd92 My mum got a rash on her arm with the booster. It started as the red mark a lot of people get but then spread out. It looked grim but went away completely after a couple of weeks. Good luck, I hope your son doesn’t have too many issues with it!

At first I wanted a next to be crib but after a while we decided to skip it, get almost things second hand and spend the money saved on one of those Little Green Sheep mattresses. The price is a little painful but it does look a good one.

Is anyone else feeling really breathless around now? I’m at 21 weeks and the last week I’ve been feeling increasingly breathless. Does this just get worse for the next 20ish weeks?!

fattycatty82 · 13/01/2022 09:08

@GinnyBee guilty as charged! But I may as well be a first time mum as remember nothing from over two decades ago! I am doing an online yoga course through U.K. babies which is helping with aches and pains. I did some kettle bell swings in the gym yesterday and my lower back hurts so I think that's yet another exercise that's out for me now. Hopefully it won't ache the whole of you pregnancy it's not nice is it 😭

I need to stop buying things... as should be saving money for my maternity leave so I can still get my roots done and pay my gym membership 😂 I've always earned my own money I'm going to hate relying on other half more financially. Oh well one thing is for sure this baby won't be short of clothes!

I keep thinking of more things I 'need' though... Ewan the sheep?! Spritz for bits?

@aNewYorkerInLondon that high chair looks really good

fattycatty82 · 13/01/2022 09:11

Ohhh who mentioned the IKEA chair? Which one are you getting? Easy to clean sounds good! I do remember the mess at every meal time like a food explosion 🤣

GinnyBee · 13/01/2022 11:16

@fattycatty82 Right! I'm the person with a sister 26 years older than me! 🙋‍♀️ hello again here too! I've paused my membership for now and bought myself a pair of 15kg dumbbells but so far all I've done with them is take them out the box... plan was to do some squats and lunges at some point today. And then probably regret it tomorrow!

@Honeymint I'm starting to feel like there's less space for my lungs now! Just bending down to tie my shoelaces is like suffocating 😂

itssquidstella · 13/01/2022 11:17

I’m getting much more breathless going up the stairs @Honeymint! Also finding I can't bend down as easily because my stomach gets in the way :/

fattycatty82 · 13/01/2022 11:36

@GinnyBee amazing! 👋 I was so happy to hear there are other mums out there with an age gap as big as mine x

Yes to getting breathless! I am still going to the gym, walking etc but for some reason after walking up my stairs at home I am out of breathe and need to sit down 🤷‍♀️

aNewYorkerInLondon · 13/01/2022 12:06

we're getting up toward 1000 posts again - do we need a new thread?

Jowd92 · 13/01/2022 12:24

The first 2 doses I had was before I was pregnant so this is the only one I’ve had being pregnant maybe it’s just because hormones are different I really don’t know and my sons okay he isn’t too unwell hopefully he will be fine just means testing a lot with me and the other kids my daughter had it at Xmas and no one catched it from her it seems there getting it from school I hope it isn’t like this when I’m due cause I will possibly think about isolating with them for a couple of weeks to be safe

GinnyBee · 13/01/2022 13:51

@fattycatty82 People are always amazed when I tell them that! It's pretty much the maximum age difference you could reasonably have - 16 vs 42.

@aNewYorkerInLondon We will do soon!

@fattycatty82 I mentioned the IKEA antilop, i had it for my second and it was so much better than the all singing all dancing one I had for my first. Super light as well so could lug it anywhere and you can get a cushioned insert for it for when they’re super little. The only thing that would improve it is if it could fold itself up and put itself away Grin

Kittycaz · 13/01/2022 18:38

@Crazymumofboys welcome I was in same boat had a mmc in April so when I found out I was pregnant again end of August I didn't really believe it and didn't wanna acknowledge incase I tempted fate but now I'm approaching 24 weeks and LO is moving about a ton I feel allot more reassured. Good luck to you and Congratulations. Smile

fejkalove · 14/01/2022 09:30

Morning all, hope you're all well?
I have my rescheduled 20 week scan tomorrow morning as sonographer couldn't get all the measurements last Friday. In my notes it says 'sub optimal view due to maternal BMI' - which has left me feeling anxious that they may not be able to get measurements again tomorrow. I had a private scan at 16 weeks and they didn't struggle at all to do al of their checks. Sad anyone else with a similar experience?

YfenniChristie · 14/01/2022 12:54

Afternoon everyone,

It's been really useful hearing what's everyone's getting for the baby - we're at a complete loss here! Husband has decided that we're getting a cot as otherwise the nursery will just be chests of drawers, a chair for me and a rocking horse 😂 We've decided against getting a highchair for now, and starting to look at getting clothes, nappies etc. We're being loaned or gifted a bunch of things so it's difficult to say exactly what we have or will have.

In other news, I've woken up in agony today. I think the baby is lying low and I swear I can feel them grinding against my cervix as they move. The whole underneath of my bump aches. If I sit, I feel fine but it's so uncomfortable/painful when I move around. 😩

Luckygreenduck · 14/01/2022 13:48

Ahhh had a morning of been sick again. I thought I got over this before Christmas! Hoping its a one off and not the start of a new stage.

autumn321 · 14/01/2022 15:03

Does anyone else just feel absolutely exhausted or is it just me?! I thought I'd have more energy but no such luck!

Kittycaz · 14/01/2022 15:20

@autumn321 yeah I feel exhausted and my back has started to proper ache today.

@yfenniChristie I had this last week pain under bump and I dipped my wee just to check and it turned out I had a Uti. After I finished the antibiotics the pain had gone.

LeeRainbow · 14/01/2022 15:24

Kittycaz · 14/01/2022 15:47

@LeeRainbow. Yeah I am having a little boy I am very excited to meet him I find myself talking to him all the time even when in the shops and I get wierd looks from people lol. He makes me smile as whenever I feel anxious he somehow senses it and gives me a little poke as if to reassure me.

YfenniChristie · 14/01/2022 15:47

@Kittycaz Really? Oh...balls. I'll keep an eye on it over the weekend and will make an appointment with the doctor/midwife on Monday (need to see her anyway for my 24-25 week check).

LeeRainbow · 14/01/2022 16:06
