@Minster2012 - aww fab scan pic ☺️ Glad all went OK
Mine went very well too today and all as should be - they moved me on by 1 day so 23rd May….no longer DD buddies! ☹️ Although they said with twins will likely be around 1st week of May that they arrive!
such a massive relief after 2x MC last year. Can’t quite believe it!
Best of luck to @fattycatty82 and @Sarah239 for tomorrow and Sarah stay positive - Although I totally get the anxiety you feel. Xx

Minster2012 · 12/11/2021 07:15

@hwp22 that's fantastic!! Congratulations and I didn't realise twins! 😍😍

Is anyone else REALLY bunged up? My nose is completely blocked every day, grrrrr

TashieWoo · 12/11/2021 08:55

@Sprat12 that was me - I don’t think that’s true actually as I got my confirmation text the other day and it said I could bring someone who hadn’t tested positive for Covid, the usual text reminder. So I’ve told DP he can come now.

Thank you all for the well wishes, I’m certainly not 100% but getting a bit better each day, I’m eating bland food and I’m desperate for some fruit but not sure whether that’s a good idea yet!

Best wishes to @Sarah239 and @fattycatty82 for your scans today Flowers

morphe · 12/11/2021 10:23

Lovely scan pic @Minster2012! So pleased it looks well for you, and hope everyone else's scans go well today.

Is the 16 week scan a private one? I think at the private clinic where I got my NIPT they allow partners to attend all the scans.

Welcome @Sprat12! I'm due on 4 May so also an early one.

hwp22 · 12/11/2021 10:26

@Minster2012 Yep…TWO babies in there!!! not sure it’s quite sunk in yet!!!! Or how an earth I’m going to cope!
I’ve had a bit of a cold on and off all week and been struggling to breath at night!
Felt better yesterday and then they gave me flu jab at ANclinic so felt dreadful last night 😭
when will I actually feel well??? Feels like forever since I felt myself! Xx

TashieWoo · 12/11/2021 11:19

@Sprat12 we are due date buddies, I’m due on 1st May too!

Sarah239 · 12/11/2021 11:22

My scan was fine 🥰 So amazing! Due date moved 1 day forward to 16th May! I'm so relieved and happy.

Someone crashed into the back of our car on the way home from hospital which was a bit of a shock! Luckily no injuries and only very minor damage, the other car got off worse! Couldn't make it up 🙈

TashieWoo · 12/11/2021 11:51

So pleased to hear @Sarah239! It’s such a lovely feeling isn’t it, now you can relax a little 💗.

Shame about the car but glad it’s only minor damage and nobody hurt.

fattycatty82 · 12/11/2021 13:34

@Sarah239 oh no!!! 🤦‍♀️ But Yes 👏 to all being good for your scan 👍😊 bet you are relieved

Mine went well too, measurements ok so far but need to wait for bloods for screening results. It took absolutely ages as baby wasn't playing ball and had his/her chin tucked into chest. There was also a super creepy moment when baby turned his/her head to the screen as if it was looking at us! 😂 Probably annoyed with all the prodding

They did put my due date forward by five days though, which was a concern of mine, as someone whose older I know the chances of an induction is higher and they'll want to interfere loads. I just think baby is long! New due date is 17th May 🤷‍♀️

TashieWoo · 12/11/2021 17:11

Great to hear you had a good scan too @fattycatty82!

YummyMummyXoX · 12/11/2021 17:49

@Sarah239 pleased to hear about scan being all well sorry about your car accident, glad no serious injuries though. We are due date buddies! X

YummyMummyXoX · 12/11/2021 17:50

Pleased your scan went well too @fattycatty82 x

Minster2012 · 12/11/2021 18:52

Oooo so pleased on more great scans @Sarah239 and @fattycatty82 though not of course the crash but pleased you are

Happy Friday night everyone!

Bubbasmama2017 · 13/11/2021 07:40

I'm loving hearing about everyone's scans it's making me really excited for Spring when the babies start arriving! I've been awake most of the night thinking about the gender of our baby Grin we find out in 2 weeks and have been talking about names a lot! I think that will make it really real for me when we find out.
Has anyone felt movements yet? I know it's probably too early to tell but I swear I've had some very slight movements when I'm really still or have had a cold drink!

robyna · 13/11/2021 08:03

@Bubbasmama2017 I've had some very slight movements when I lie on my back and then suddenly roll onto my side. Feels like something tapping me, wondered if it was gas at first but it's a completely different feeling so I'm thinking it's tiny movements. I reaaaally have to focus on it to know otherwise I'd easily miss it.
I've also got my gender scan in a few weeks on 27th, taking bets already haha

Bubbasmama2017 · 13/11/2021 08:16

@robyna a few people have said it's gas but like you that's a different feeling for me! Mine feels like someone very lightly stroking my skin once or twice but below my tummy where baby would be so assuming it's baby flipping over? Who knows I'll have to pay attention with my gender scan (also the 27th!) And see if I can feel them moving then.
I feel like I'm having a boy as feel different to when I had my daughter but most people are guessing a girl. I don't really have a preference!

robyna · 13/11/2021 08:23

@Bubbasmama2017 yes! Like a weird gentle tap from the inside. So weird.
And yeah I'm convinced I'm having a boy but every single family member is willing to bet money on me having a girl 🤷🏼‍♀️

GinnyBee · 13/11/2021 09:19

Yay @Sarah239 for a healthy scan! xx

@fattycatty82 congrats on the healthy scan! I feel like a lot of people have had their DD adjusted by 5 days, I did too. I don't believe it, it just doesn't make sense for when I ovulated and tested positive, but hey ho.

I got my screening results letter yesterday. Down's 1:10,000 and Edward's and Patau 1:100,000 so no NIPT necessary.

I also finally got onto Badger Notes, which I had trouble with originally. Most appointments I've had letters for but there was one for early January that says 'initial consultant review' and I'm now wondering what that is? I mentioned I was interested in ELCS and my midwife said she'd book me to see a consultant and that's usually around 28 weeks, but January is only 20 weeks. I suppose I should wait for a letter to come, maybe there's more info there.

@Sarah239 and @fattycatty82, I'm so glad your scans went well!

I'm really enjoying seeing everyone's lovely scans!!

@fattycatty82, at my 12-week scan they moved my EDD forward by two days and I said "could we not?" For that very same reason. I'm also an older mum and am not looking forward to the pressure to induce. I want every day I can have before they start on me with that. (They said no and moved my date anyway, of course! 🤣). It's funny, I'm not scared of the delivery at all, but I am dreading the fight I anticipate I may have to have to do it as naturally as possible.

Today, I'm 15+3 by my new date, but at my 12-week scan, it was very funny because we got there and baby boy was sleeping. The sonogram tech was so excited that she said "give me a few minutes to take the measurements I need before baby wakes up, then we'll talk about what we're seeing." I thought she was half-joking, but lo and behold, a few minutes later, baby woke up and decided he didn't want to be photographed (so like his father already), turned his back to us and started kicking his legs and waving his arms like a little tantrum. It was so funny! Thankfully, that wise tech had already gotten her measurements and images!

Our NIPT showed low risk of everything it tests for (we had the Natura Panorama full panel) and of course his sex, and I'm glad to report that the NT measurements/bloods also came back low risk. I know NIPT is far more accurate, but at 41 I'll take all the reassurance I can get!

I didn't post the photos before because that very evening we had a scare with bleeding and spent the next day with all sorts of doc visits. Thankfully everything was ok, but it left me mentally exhausted and I haven't been really on here since. Anyway, here's baby boy:

@aNewYorkerInLondon I'm exactly the same and will be standing my ground nearer the time, I also got annoyed at the scan as dates just really don't add up. Lovely scan photo though! It's so clear. Mine looks like a monkey wearing a fez the picture quality is awful (I hope that's the reason anyway 😂)

Sarah239 · 13/11/2021 10:02

@Bubbasmama2017 exciting! I just allowed myself to think about names for the first time yesterday :)

I haven't felt any movements yet, though based off how much baby was moving around yesterday, and being 7.4cm, it does blow my mind that I can't feel anything!

Sarah239 · 13/11/2021 10:02

Also @fattycatty82 I'm so glad your scan went well too :)

Sarah239 · 13/11/2021 10:05

Also (sorry, I'm awful for posting more than one message) we found out my 20 week scan is Christmas Eve! So we will have to surprise family with the sex at Christmas 🥰

I expect there's a lot of us who will find out the sex around Christmastime!

Bubbasmama2017 · 13/11/2021 10:05

@GinnyBee I've got a consultant appointment too I assumed it was because I've got an under active thyroid and saw a consultant for that last pregnancy but when I called the hospital they didnt know and said to ask my midwife at my 16 week appointment in a couple of weeks

robyna · 13/11/2021 16:50

@Bubbasmama2017 I had a consultant appointment at my dating scan, it was because of recurrent miscarriages. It was just to book in extra growth scans so maybe it's to do with that?

@Sarah239 I'll be 20 weeks exactly on Christmas Day so I'm wondering whether my 20 week scan will be before or after. I'd love it if it was on Christmas Eve too!
