@Sarah239 and @fattycatty82, I'm so glad your scans went well!
I'm really enjoying seeing everyone's lovely scans!!
@fattycatty82, at my 12-week scan they moved my EDD forward by two days and I said "could we not?" For that very same reason. I'm also an older mum and am not looking forward to the pressure to induce. I want every day I can have before they start on me with that. (They said no and moved my date anyway, of course! 🤣). It's funny, I'm not scared of the delivery at all, but I am dreading the fight I anticipate I may have to have to do it as naturally as possible.
Today, I'm 15+3 by my new date, but at my 12-week scan, it was very funny because we got there and baby boy was sleeping. The sonogram tech was so excited that she said "give me a few minutes to take the measurements I need before baby wakes up, then we'll talk about what we're seeing." I thought she was half-joking, but lo and behold, a few minutes later, baby woke up and decided he didn't want to be photographed (so like his father already), turned his back to us and started kicking his legs and waving his arms like a little tantrum. It was so funny! Thankfully, that wise tech had already gotten her measurements and images!
Our NIPT showed low risk of everything it tests for (we had the Natura Panorama full panel) and of course his sex, and I'm glad to report that the NT measurements/bloods also came back low risk. I know NIPT is far more accurate, but at 41 I'll take all the reassurance I can get!
I didn't post the photos before because that very evening we had a scare with bleeding and spent the next day with all sorts of doc visits. Thankfully everything was ok, but it left me mentally exhausted and I haven't been really on here since. Anyway, here's baby boy:
