Love seeing all these scan pics and I’m glad they’ve all gone well, even if your baby was a bit stubborn @fejkalove!

I’ve just got back from hospital, as 111 sent me there. I’ve had lots of tests and I’m waiting for the results but baby is fine thank goodness, had a quick scan and they were wriggling around, and I heard the heartbeat 💗. I’ll call the GP early next week to get results but hopefully if the baby is okay now then they will be safe.

@SerendipitySunshine @GinnyBee I literally spoke to my midwife about the nub theory today and she said it just makes zero scientific sense and is always giving people false hope or disappointment when it's not accurate 🤷🏼‍♀️

@robyna ah I suppose it doesn't really make sense and they're still developing still!
I've got a gender scan in a couple of weeks as I am too impatient to wait also I like to see the baby quite often

@Bubbasmama2017 so have I, I'll be over the moon either way but im really impatient so need to know 😂 mines on 27th

Mine tomorrow and I'm still scared. I want to find out gender, DH not bothered but I want to find out and also have another scan

I have no problem with people wanting to find out the sex of their baby, it's the misleading nub theory bit I take issue with! You may as well just flip a coin.

My eating habits have pretty much gone back to normal now - I’m finally laying off the salted Pringles!! Haha!

I def understand being curious about gender but it does baffle me a bit all the "theory" stuff after the 12 week scan because surely.... if there was a reliable way to tell at 12 weeks, they would tell you?! Lol! I haven't looked up what nub theory is because I think it's better for me not to now as I will only drive myself mad!

@TashieWoo nice to hear an update! Glad you were checked out for reassurance. Hope I didn't worry you but best to be safe I think! And you got to see baby :)

@hwp22 how was your scan?

Had ours today and I couldn't stop blubbing, it's 3rd time lucky for us after a MMC & MC & little wriggler was happily moving around and measured couple of days ahead so 12+4 now & so due 22/5/22

So happy 😁 🌈

@Minster2012 Congrats! Feels weird doesn't it! I'm the same as you, one mc and one mmc before this one, and I didn't really even acknowledge this pregnancy much until my 12 week scan on Monday.

Must not be many left still waiting for the dating scan? I was supposed to be due 22nd but got moved to 17th, so only about a week or so of due dates left after my original one! Although I guess some might have their scans closer to 14 weeks still. But how exciting, we're all almost there now!

Has anyone else noticed a massive increase in sense of smell around the 14 week mark? (A day or two under 14 weeks).
I just had a bath and could smell the wood in the bath caddy but to me it smelt like rotting fish. I opened the bin earlier and could smell everything in it and gagged. Nausea has also come back quite bad today. I've felt ok for a week or so!

@fattycatty82 I was nearly sick as I walked in mainly from the worry tbh

I d just worked out my DH is away the 16 week mark when I'd like a scan to find out gender 😬so annoying

My scan is tomorrow at 09:30. I'm just really scared that we will get some bad news. Just thought that tonight might be the last night I'm in my happy, hopeful pregnancy bubble, after 2yrs of infertility, and I'm so scared of how devastated and depressed I (and my husband) will be if baby is not ok :(

I know all that's left is to wait and see. I'm just praying that if it goes well I will feel better as the first trimester anxiety is so difficult!

Ooof! I have a lot to catch up on.

First though, I have a maternity massage scheduled in 20 minutes. Thank goodness for the second trimester!!!!

I’m a bit late to this thread, but I’m due 1st May. This is my first and I have zero clue about babies and pregnancy, it’s actually quite embarrassing!

I didn’t even know you could go for a private gender scan! How many weeks do you usually have to be to do this? I’m dying to know what flavour we are having and I’m very tempted to book one instead of waiting until mid December for the 20 week scan.

Also, someone mentioned above that partners can’t come to the 16 week, is that correct? I’ve already told DH to take the afternoon off work 🙈
