@PeeAche

I can't stop thinking about Yorkshire puddings. Day and night.

Last night my DH made this roast dinner that he served with homemade Yorkshires (at my request) and there were 2 spare which I wrapped up and put in the fridge.

He's just said that we can have those 2 tomorrow with something for dinner. And I agreed.

Problem is, I already ate them today. I secretly scoffed them. Dry. With salt. 😳

This made me lol!! Good on you! 🤣🤣🤣
pregnancydiaries · 03/11/2021 21:01

Welcome @Roxystar23 and congrats!

Ladies just catching up on the stretching type pains. I have this almost constant but definitely more so at night, just want to check is it quite low down for a lot of you? Hoping it’s totally normal 🤗 xx

pregnancydiaries · 03/11/2021 21:02

Oh also update on the gallbladder pain, GP said he thinks I have a bad case of gastritis from the HG so has prescribed omepeazole, took bloods too just to be sure!

destiEos · 04/11/2021 07:01

Hello all, finally posting here having been lurking for a week or so. Am 9+1 (hope I've got the terminology right!) So due 8th June ☺️

I've been following but unable to post as I'm on my honeymoon and was avoiding logging into email/fb and just trying to get away from it all really. Unfortunately about 5 or 6 days in the nausea and dizzyness kicked in, so I've spent quite a lot of the past week in bed. Still, it's nice to be able to do that, even if a bit of a waste flying to the Maldives to do so..

Same as a few others here, we had IVF so only my immediate family know. This is our first, so this all new to me and all my friends had kids years ago or don't have them. It's been super reassuring to know that there are other people in the exact same phase as me.

Pandamama88 · 04/11/2021 07:58

How do you find the next thread when this one fills up?

CurryandSnuggle · 04/11/2021 08:12

@destiEos welcome and congratulations! Aww shame about your Maldives trip.. not nice when you’re feeling so rubbish. Hope you’re making the best of it Flowers

@Pandamama88 have a look on the pregnancy forum, I imagine it will just be called June 2022 (thread 3). Thread will close at 1000 posts

I have my flu jab today and I’m freaking out that I’ve booked it to early. Midwife says get it soon as but I’m so anxious about mc 😭

Prema112 · 04/11/2021 08:40

@Vimto1991 is there a risk of mc with flu jab?

Vimto1991 · 04/11/2021 08:50

@Prema112 I’m not entirely sure, probably shouldn’t have looked at previous threads on here where people have had mc and flu jab. I just didn’t know whether I should have waited until 12 weeks. I am overly anxious of everything regardless 🙈

CurryandSnuggle · 04/11/2021 09:18

I was like this over the whooping cough vaccine last time, it caused me bad anxiety but was absolutely fine. I don’t think they’d offer something that could be dangerous to our babies. But if it is causing you extreme anxiety it’s not too late to change the date of it so you can think about it more, just say you’re not feeling well and would like to reschedule.

I think I will be getting my flu jab but after the 12 week scan (as here my midwife said it would be offered whilst I’m at the hospital for my scan. It must just be something they do in our trust but thought it was odd!). The risk of flu is high this year as our immune systems are likely to be less effective because of isolation for the past year.

TTCjourney2021 · 04/11/2021 09:30

I've always had the flu jab yearly because of my job, and had it in my last pregnancy, but I'm anxious about it this time round too! Especially because I've had the covid jab aswell, so we have any research on them being mixed together? Haha x

claireabell10 · 04/11/2021 09:40

Thanks all for the lovely messages.

@PeeAche thank you! I'm finding it ok at the minute- feel quite sick / tired most of the time and very very bloated but all ok in the main!

@Prema112 thank you! Congratulations! I had a natural cycle transfer this time with a little frozen fella so no meds other than progesterone pessaries which are a treat!

@unknownscot congratulations!!

@CurryandSnuggle thank you!

@destiEos congratulations!! We are due the same day, how are you so far?

destiEos · 04/11/2021 09:49

Hi @CurryandSnuggle, thank you. Yes, still a hell of a view from the bed 😬

@Vimto1991 I had my flu jab 3 weeks ago, all fine. I've actually never had one before, but the NHS thinks it's a good idea for pregnant women to have it, I'm in! I'm also double jabbed...although the guidance on that was worryingly uncertain when I had it, I knew I was going for IVF and figured better to have it before than during pregnancy (Now I understand they're pretty clear that it's better to have the vaccine than not for pregnant women).

I've just eaten a huge bowl of spaghetti and yoghurt as it appears to be one of the few very bland things I can happily eat. Hoping for a nap and maybe, just maybe a few minutes in the sun this afternoon 🙂

Hope you're all doing well and I'm going to dream of coming home and eating all the Yorkshire puddings!!

Vimto1991 · 04/11/2021 09:52

Thanks everyone for your advice! I saw a lot of comments here of everyone booking for for a few weeks time and worried I had jumped the gun a bit too early!!

@destiEos oh wow!! Atleast your view is fab whilst you feel ill! One holiday you will definitely remember but sorry you feel so sick during your time there!!

destiEos · 04/11/2021 09:57

@claireabell10 - we are?! And both IVF 😬 I'm also on pessaries and estradiol tablets, which are indeed a bloody treat...doc said I can start coming off them in just under a week though, should be off all meds by week 12, you?

I was absolutely fine with but a few cramps and some shooty pain until a few days ago. Then nausea, dizziness, lots of sleeping and general ugh. Looking forward to being home again, not looking forward to speed boat back to mainland and 10 hour flight (I know, I know, I'm very lucky to be here and grateful but oof!)

Also genuinely feel awful for the ladies which are proper sick and hoping you all feel much better soon Daffodil

4thtimethecharm · 04/11/2021 10:13

@HWka, thanks so much for your kind, reassuring words. I hope everything continues to go well for you as well.

Vimto1991 · 04/11/2021 10:34

@pregnancydiaries the pain I have is bikini line on the left side, feels like knotting. I’ve not had any today but do feel like you where it’s worse in the evenings. Perhaps just ligament pain or growing pains!

PeeAche · 04/11/2021 11:53

I'm overweight and since week 4, I've lost 9lbs.

Work colleague:

"What's your secret?"

Oh, y'know, a pregnancy, 90> uncontrollable vomits, unrelenting heartburn and an overnight hospital stay. 🤷🏻‍♀️😂

You make it sound so glamorous 😅

When does the 'glowing' start? 🙈

unknownscot · 04/11/2021 12:22

@destiEos

I'm on progynova tablets and lubion injections too - I've to continue until 12 weeks I'm sure it is x

destiEos · 04/11/2021 12:39

@unknownscot another IVF buddy! I'm on the same tablets, thought the pessaries were bad, but injections must suck 😔 Good luck Flowers
@unknownscot another IVF buddy! I'm on the same tablets, thought the pessaries were bad, but injections must suck 😔 Good luck Flowers
I actually chose injections over pessaries as I work 12h shifts occasionally so it's easier to administer an injection while in work 😂

And I was out for dinner last night at the time I do mu injection so means I can just do it wherever I am.

Was that your first round of ivf? X

destiEos · 04/11/2021 13:17

@unknownscot I was told to self-administer blood thinning injections every day and was like, um... Can I just take aspirin? They weren't keen, but I insisted. It was my first round, I hadn't really planned to have kids, or not have them and then suddenly I was old enough to need IVF, so that's what we did 🙂

Prema112 · 04/11/2021 13:35

@unknownscot & @destiEos I reckon progynova is making my nausea worse. I remember when I started taking them before I was pregnant they made me feel a little sick. I've finish lubion now but still taking Cyclogest until 13 weeks and progynova until 14. Seems a bit over the top I'm tempted to finish early but I suppose I should do what the dr says...

Prema112 · 04/11/2021 13:36

@unknownscot I did quite a few toilet lubion injections when out to dinner! Back in the days where I went to dinner, no chance of that nowadays with all this nausea 🤢
