Welcome @FeeB33! So sorry to hear about your past miscarriages, really hope the progesterone and aspirin does the trick and you have a great early scan!

Are we supposed to have cramping on and off continously in 1st trimester or does it stop?

@Clomid1 glad to know scan went well hun and on the plus side its good they are doing tests. Atleast thr GP is being proactive unlike the ones in my surgery

TMI warning!!

Is anybody else scared to have sex? I don't know if it's my anxiety playing with me but I feel like it will make something go wrong! Tbh though my partner is also a little bit cautious about it! I guess we just want to be careful and give the baby the best chances!

@MrsNT I’ve had minor strange cramping like growing pains. I read up on it on NHS website; it said it’s normal apparently to have aches and pains as the uterus is expanding and is a sign the pregnancy is progressing normally.

@curryandsnuggle same but the days i dont have any I get worried and start googling

Quick question - has anyone here had BV? I've had it on and off for the last year despite never having it ever before then..

It seems to have come back again but I'm reluctant to take the antibiotics if pregnant but wondered if anyone had any tips/ideas on how to get rid of it in a more natural way?

@MrsNT I wouldn’t worry about it, I don’t think it’s supposed to happen all the time. I guess it’s not stretching all the time. I get the odd niggle like every few days. Xx

@yellowpinkbluegreen I am going to get myself tested for BV and thrush because I think I might have one of them. Best to treat early because it can cause complications if left untreated (according to Dr Google).

Ah I know, that's why I was curious as Dr Google is scary

Think I'll do the same although I pretty much know the symptoms now so I'm sure it's it annoyingly..

Glad I'm not the only one, it's like vaginal heaviness, I seem to be getting it every afternoon. I'll definitely mention it to the midwife 🤔

@TTCjourney2021 my husband and I haven't had sex since my BFP... With the spotting I've had I wouldn't be able to relax. I'm hoping a normal scan will ease my worries and the second trimester will be more fun for both of us!

@yellowpinkbluegreen I’ve googled the symptoms but interested to know whether they match dr google lol? what are like the key tell tale signs?

I need to wait for this uti stuff to come back from the lab and the sti tests (only been with my husband since I was 22 so hoping I would know if I had an sti for that long lol 😂 but you never know I guess)

Once both are back will get tested for BV and Thrush because I don’t want everything looming over me. Have you ever tried those home tests for BV? If so any good?

Also have you tried that canesbalance gel for BV? I tried it and it did nothing so I assumed it wasn’t BV?

@TTCjourney2021 I'm scared too. Husband seems scared now too after the cyst thing, that or he's repulsed by me now 😂

We haven’t had much sex either. My DH was a bit upset though, he thought I wasn’t interested in him. It worried me a bit but I was also upset as felt he should have empathy for me as I’ve had an achey uterus, did have spotting (stopped now), nausea and tiredness and just generally feel crappy. We’ve had some movie nights cuddled up on sofa and he seems less down now. I think sometimes he thinks he’s unattractive and takes stuff to heart , therefore missing the true reason for why I don’t want sex.

Anyway sorry for overshare!

(And he’s not unattractive at all, that’s the most annoying thing!!)

Mine has said 'you got what you want from me', aka a baby, more than once. It's pissed me off when I'm feeling like a swollen achey blob!

Re: sex - my DH and I used to be pretty much daily and now we're every other day, or every 3 days. Honestly, I could go in for zero actual sex right now but I do love the intimacy so I am doing it, if it feels right. Often it's not actually penetrative but sometimes it is. Not sorry for the TMI 😁 think it's important to talk about these things. There is no "normal" only what you feel comfortable with. 😘

I’m not surprised @rathernotshare, makes it sound like you’ve used him and thrown him away. Quite rude. That would upset me because no, you’re not with each other just to make babies, you are a partnership

Fishy smell is unfortunately the main symptom !!

There's no pain or anything though so that's good!

I think with thrush there's no smell but there's pain.

So depending on this will prob decide which you have!

Oh and I did 2 rounds of antibiotics when I first got it but seemed pointless as went away then came back again.

Also tried the natural squirty things they do at Superdrug which were good for keeping it at bay.

Might try these again just need to check they're safe in pregnancy!!

So annoying though that it's recurring!! No rhyme or reason either. Sometimes comes on after we have sex as apparently semen upsets the pH balance!

@TTCjourney2021 yep we haven’t had sex since my BFP 😞 both of us are too scared!! And plus with feeling crappy I’ve rarely been in the mood the last few weeks. Plenty of cuddling and kissing though so suppose that’s the main thing ❤️

@yellowpinkbluegreen I have the foul smell after sex and some itching. BV would be the first symptom and the second isn’t BV so I am a bit confused. On edge until I get the STI results
