Just a quick note to reassure people who were in the same boat as me with spotting.
Just had a meeting with Professor Enda McVeigh (he's one of the UK's top fertility dr's) so I used that opportunity to ask him questions instead of mixed Google! He did a scan too, saw my bleed, said it was the placenta forming/attaching and that it's totally normal. He said 1/3 women will bleed. Mines not even red yet and he said it might turn red so don't panic as that's normal. Cramps too. SO reassuring. He also said now we've seen babies heart beat the chance of miscarriage is now 1/20. A huge difference.

@Bridgey8 Thanks

TTCjourney2021 · 01/11/2021 13:27

That's good to know @beansprout55! Sorry to intrude but when looking at your scan seen that idly says jersey! Is that jersey as in Channel Islands? X

PeeAche · 01/11/2021 13:32

@Bridgey8 Thanks I'm thinking of you at this difficult time. Take lots of rest. It will get better, I promise.xxx

laurenGame · 01/11/2021 13:32

@Bridgey8 I am so so sorry.. Sad sending you a massive tight hug, I am thinking of you today. X wish I could make it better.

CurryandSnuggle · 01/11/2021 13:32

Brilliant. That’s very reassuring @beansprout55 thank you for updating, and also glad you are feeling better about it too! How many weeks are you?

OP posts:
PeeAche · 01/11/2021 13:33

@beansprout55 we have the same birthday!!

(But I'm older than you!! 😫)

beansprout55 · 01/11/2021 13:34

6 weeks today, well, according to my measurements 5+6.
I thought some of you girls would be assured by any spotting and cramps you have that 1/3 women do get that, and makes a HUGE difference for me having a consultant tell me that and not a website!!!xxx

beansprout55 · 01/11/2021 13:35

Yes Jersey Channel Islands! The one that's having a row with France right now 😂 xx

Unarosaes · 01/11/2021 13:35

@Bridgey8 @JuniperAndTonic so sorry to hear your news. Sending you both strength.

beansprout55 · 01/11/2021 13:36

Sorry @Bridgey8 for being so insensitive, didn't see your post. Really sorry for you and will include you in prayers with hubby today.

TTCjourney2021 · 01/11/2021 13:38

Ah I used to live there Too! I miss the island 😂 x

Unarosaes · 01/11/2021 13:38

@vimto1991 I haven't been doing any exercise at all. We had a long weekend where I live and I have been out to the forest to look for mushrooms for a couple of hours and I felt super nauseous after a little while of walking. I am not going to force it and hope to do better from next month onwards

Wellthiswasunexpected · 01/11/2021 13:42

@Bridgey8 I’m so sorry. Sending you all the strength in the world. Wish I could make it better for you Flowers

Imhereforthecake · 01/11/2021 13:43

@beansprout55 did you see a heartbeat? I'm 6+1 (I think) I've got to wait another week for EPAU to scan me again, as they said it's too early?
Thank you for updating though, it's reassuring when so many of us have had cramps and spotting.

beansprout55 · 01/11/2021 13:46

Yes I did! 6 weeks today and we saw the flicker which was super reassuring after spotting for 6 days now, and it's got worse today!

@TTCjourney2021 wow that's amazing! Are you from Jersey? I'm a real local bean - absolutely love it here. x

Maddie2802 · 01/11/2021 13:58

Hi everyone! Can I join 😊
Found out yesterday I'm pregnant with baby number 2! Hoping for a healthy pregnancy! More nervous this time around, it hasn't fully sunk in yet either

PeeAche · 01/11/2021 14:01

Welcome @Maddie2802 and congratulations on your BFP!

I'm having some period pain cramping today. Feeling a little anxious.

Clomid1 · 01/11/2021 14:20

Hi everyone! Been away for a while. I had an early scan in the end 😅 it was more because the private gynae who prescribed me the clomid forced me to take one but all good. Nice little heart beat. Due date moved to the day after I’d predicted so 17th June rather than 16th June.

Currently undergoing loads of tests because GP thinks i have a uti but I’ve only tested positive for luekocytes.

GP seems convinced I have an STI because only one of the uti tests came back positive so I am doing all those tests (although I am convinced i don’t). 😅

FeeB33 · 01/11/2021 15:30

Hi everyone,

Hope you don't mind me joining in!

I think I'm around 6 weeks pregnant and due around 27th June. I have an early scan on Wednesday following 4 miscarriages so hopefully get a better idea then.

This time I've been prescribed progesterone and low dose aspirin by my consultant so I'm crossing my fingers for a successful pregnancy!

I've not had many symptoms so far so a bit anxious about that but trying to stay positive and not stress too much!

How is everyone else getting on? Smile

HWka · 01/11/2021 15:34

@Bridgey8 so so sorry to read this. If it’s any consolation the surgery was the easiest part of my miscarriage although I’d been so worried about having it xxx

MrsNT · 01/11/2021 15:39

@bridgey8 so sorry to hear of your loss hun xx sending lots of love and strenght for you

JuniperAndTonic · 01/11/2021 15:43

So sorry @Bridgey8 Sad

Prema112 · 01/11/2021 15:49

Oh @Bridgey8 😔 No words will make this any better. I've had that op and for me it was a relief to close my eyes and when I opened them again it was all over. I'm so sorry that you have to go through this. Thinking of you and praying you are well supported and have the time you need to process and grieve. Take care of yourself lovey xx
