Awwwwww baby really does look like they're in a heart. That's the sweetest scan I've ever seen xxx 🥲

Wellthiswasunexpected · 30/10/2021 19:46

Awww @caz198917 what a beautiful image, congrats on your happy scan

unknownscot · 30/10/2021 20:49

@beansprout55

Great HCG! Wish they would take mine to compare xx did they do a transabdominal or transvaginal for that scan *@TTCjourney2021* ?xx
I did mine through medichecks x
DaimDillyDoo · 30/10/2021 21:17

@PeeAche bless you, which meds are you on? Metoclomopride via IV worked to get the vomiting under control for me. Try the pregnancy sickness support group for help!

beansprout55 · 30/10/2021 21:33

OB/GYN from last night just phoned me, progesterone has dropped from 49 to 39. He wants me to phone ARU on Monday to ask for progesterone supplements. I'm so scared - what does this mean????? Am I going to you know what? 🙁

blueberryy · 30/10/2021 23:26

@beansprout55 hopefully not! Mine dropped this week from 20 to 14 and I got put on suppositories. Research seems to show that 11 is the low range for early pregnancy so I'm hoping everything is ok and the suppositories just add some extra support.

beansprout55 · 31/10/2021 00:23

How far along are you @blueberryy ? I'm totally freaking out with this news. Also have dark yellow/pinky CM sometimes so wondering if that's a result of this. Did your dr seem worried?

blueberryy · 31/10/2021 00:43

@beansprout55 7 weeks tomorrow. No, not freaked out - just that I should be on suppositories. I was told that they like to see over 20 for where I'm at, so that's why they said let's start the suppositories, but it didn't seem like a dire situation.

beansprout55 · 31/10/2021 01:03

@blueberryy that's reassuring. I guess I'm just hyper anxious at the moment and when he called me after 9pm with that news it made it seem like an emergency. What a rollercoaster this weekend has been. I wonder if the drop is what has caused the pinky yellow cm? - did you have spotting or any symptoms to accompany your progesterone drop??

blueberryy · 31/10/2021 01:08

@beansprout55 I feel like if it was an emergency, they wouldn't tell you wait until Monday. No other symptoms. I am still mega nauseous all hours of the day. HCG is also still very high.

Imhereforthecake · 31/10/2021 03:21

Has anyone else had their symptoms stop? I'm 6 weeks now and had really sore breasts and a bit of nausea but it seems to have stopped. I'm worried it means something bad Sad

JuniperAndTonic · 31/10/2021 06:04

Morning everyone, hope you’re all okay!

Sorry to hear you’re in hospital @PeeAche! Hope you’re able to get home soon!

And I can’t believe the dr called you at 9pm @Tofu35 what a worry!! Hopefully it’s nothing to worry about and it’s just because they were working nights and just following up but I’d panic if I got a call at 9pm haha!

I’m feeling really anxious now, brown spotting turned to red yesterday and now back to brown this morning. I didn’t know what to do so I filled out an online thing for 111 and it recommended a call from the OOH GP but they never called me! But it had gone back to brown by the time I went to bed so I didn’t think it was worth it going to A&E as I know they can’t do anything if I’m miscarrying anyway 😢

Honestly convinced it’s all over and this is just the beginning, but I’ll see what my scan says on Tuesday, expecting the worst to be honest!

I’ve called in sick from work for the next two days as I’m too anxious and can’t concentrate 😭

JuniperAndTonic · 31/10/2021 06:12

Just realised I tagged the wrong person, sorry! I meant @beansprout55 not @Tofu35!! I’ll blame it on the early morning thanks to the clock change!!

beansprout55 · 31/10/2021 07:36

@JuniperAndTonic how much spotting is it when you wipe? Every time? Dark brown or?
Remember Friday night the OB/GYN told me it's normal to spot a little, something to do with the placenta and drilling in making a connection🤷🏻‍♀️🤷🏻‍♀️ he was Greek so couldn't understand him v well and wasn't paying attention as was so distressed. Don't lose hope. Hundreds of stories of episodes of bleeding on here that went on to have healthy pregnancies.
On another note, if there are any Christians here do say as I've just bought the best pregnancy prayer book ever which you'd love x

PeeAche · 31/10/2021 07:49

@Imhereforthecake still try to hear you are worrying about symptoms. Try to remain calm.

  1. My symptoms stopped suddenly a day or so after I started bleeding heavily and cramping. They stopped because hormones had dropped and as soon as they stopped, a pregnancy test came back negative. If you aren't bleeding heavily and cramping I think you have no need to worry because...
  1. Symptoms come and go. Really, I have read loads and loads of accounts on MN alone, of women having no symptoms all of a sudden... or having none for 9 weeks and then getting them all. Hormonal changes aren't consistent and the way your body responds to them aren't either.
PeeAche · 31/10/2021 07:49

"Sorry to hear you are worrying..."*

CurryandSnuggle · 31/10/2021 08:05

@PeeAche sorry to read you are in hospital! Hope you are doing better today Flowers

@JuniperAndTonic I am sorry to read this, it must be so worrying for you. I’d keep busy, as far as you know things are progressing normally until told otherwise. Bleeding can happen for other benign reasons. Are you getting pain?

@Imhereforthecake I know it’s hard but try not to worry. Honestly in my first pregnancy I had symptoms for the first few weeks then they dropped off a cliff and I had a thoroughly enjoyable pregnancy, I also panicked but had a very healthy boy. In hindsight I wish I could have just enjoyed my symptomless pregnancy because this pregnancy is a bugger Grin

JuniperAndTonic · 31/10/2021 08:37

@beansprout55 it’s just spotting, mostly when I wipe but a few spots on a liner, nothing major. It’s light brown again now. Thanks for the reassurance, don’t think I’ll relax about it until after the scan though and I don’t want to get my hopes up!

@CurryandSnuggle thank you, I have no pain or anything! Going to try a have a normal-ish day today although I’m glad I’m not at work - I’m a nurse and work 13 hours shifts definitely don’t think I could mentally handle it today!

RoseValleyRambles · 31/10/2021 08:38

@beansprout55 yes to the book recco! Sounds great!

beansprout55 · 31/10/2021 09:10

@RoseValleyRambles pic attached. Hubby bought it and we read it together every Sunday. It's a week by week guide, tells you what is happening with babes development by week, prayers dedicated to that week, how to reduce anxiety and trust God. It's a faith building book too! Of course anyone who's interested should by it. Reading it yesterday morning calmed me down after a night in A&E x

Imhereforthecake · 31/10/2021 09:27

@PeeAche @CurryandSnuggle
Thank you both for your reassurance. My sane logical mind knows it can be normal, my 3am can't sleep crazy brain says otherwise Angry I have an early scan with EPAU next Monday so fingers crossed for then.

I'm so glad I found this thread, it's so nice having other people who understand to talk too. Thanks

rathernotshare · 31/10/2021 10:43

I don't know if this is common knowledge but when I went for a scan they gave me a 'bounty' pack, she said if you register online you get some freebies sent through (can't remember if it was monthly or regularly or what)

It's every 3 months or so, I think. I haven't signed up to mine yet because I'm too scared I'm tempting fate which is obviously ridiculous! I'm only 6+5 though. Plenty of time... 😳
TTC081994 · 31/10/2021 12:53

@Vimto1991 I just wanted to say I have the same pain on my pubic bone, it’s more fills like a burning sometimes, I have had it since 3 weeks. Makes me concerned but everything else has been going normal. I’m going to ask my midwife about it next week at my appointment. I am 6w + 3d

CurryandSnuggle · 31/10/2021 13:19

@Vimto1991 @TTC081994 I’m not an expert but could be pelvic girdle pain?
